Maybe it's naïve of me, but I'm definitely in the camp where I'll believe a car is more than 20m when I see it in game and not before. I just don't see why, if they were going to do it, they wouldn't have already done it months ago when fewer people had either dropped the game or already bought the expensive cars. There's very little benefit to PD to raise the cap now when balanced with the bad PR that would inevitably come with it.

hence the auto-grind he suggests (although I find it absurd and dumb to run a PS5 for hours to gain credits)
You still need to manually enter and exit every race and steer the car towards the wall at the start so you dont run into the car in front of you. So there is a mild amount of manual input still required. I have heard of people writing custom scripts and attach their computer to the console, but I'm not going to go to all that trouble just to get some more credits while I'm out at work.

No, you can just leave it to run. You use a script macro to automate entering the championship, entering the first race, doing the race, proceeding to the next race, then exiting out of the championship and the restarting. Check out

I use a PS5 controller connected running on Windows loaded on an old MacBook Pro. Totally flawless..

You only have to attend it 15 minutes after midnight to reset it after being award the daily bonus. And to do that set your time zone to be a couple hours ahead so you can reset at 10:15 in the evening instead. Basically it takes a couple months to achieve the credits and then you can be done.

I would be ashamed of the auto grind but PD gives you no motivation to work to earn the cars as most are entirely pointless and the amount of time needed to earn them is ridiculous. Like, why have them if you can't even have meaningful races with your 20m cr car..... Anyway I'll get off my soap box now.

Yes I was thinking about that. But I won't bother too, all the more reason I hinted above.

I'm excited My shoulder and hand is getting better and I can now grind Tokyo up to 5 times.

This are the cars I still need (before update) to finish 471/471
DB3S CN.1 1953
250 GTO CN.3729GT 1962
1932 Roadster 1963
CLK LM 1998
300SL W194 1952
2000GT 1967

I think that's close to 70M and I have 42M right now so more then enough time to gather credits for each in between each car appearing.

:)

I was hoping to catch back up to you on collector points but it seems evermore unlikely. I’m only at 826,000 and you’re what, well over a million? I bought 2 more 917K (I have 3 total) which gave me a good boost but still far away.

I'm at 1,102,322 so you stand a chance at catching and passing me since right now I'm on wait to buy those 6 missing lcd cars.:)

For tonight’s update, I’m expecting the Ford Roadster and hoping for the Merc 300SL!
I personally would swap out the Merc with the Aston Martin 1953, then I'm done with that dealership. 😂

The electricity suppliers would love it, especially during winter, when electricity is very expensive. 😬

I figure either way, if you want all the cars you are going to be burning those watts on the PS5 anyway. In the winter it helps keep the basement warm! :)

At least do it while you are enjoying yourself with the game.
Oh I enjoy the game in other ways. Mostly time trialing and online daily races. In the end, I would grind if it was an attainable goal but it really isn't for someone that works, has family to attend to and wants to do other leisure pursuits.

When is the 250 Gto back ? currently have 20 mill but i cant see it spending on the Alfa hearse and already have 2 versions of the F1, all the other cars i have already bought.

I was surpised by the Alfa. Not worth 20M and it will never earn it back, but it handled better than expected with no tuning.

Ford Roadster Hostage Crisis Day 302 - It's over!

After 302 days, or nearly 10 months, of being unavailable, the 1963 Ford Ford Roadster is finally in stock in Hagerty's, for the same 400,000 Cr. it was in its first 2 appearances. Since last being available on 8/23, before its engine swap became available:
  • Every Hagerty's car, other than its former hostage-mate, the 1998 Suzuki V6 Escudo Pikes Peak Special (which appeared only once), has appeared at least twice. The 8 cars that only appeared twice are the 7 cars first introduced in December 2022 or later and the Dior version of the De Tomaso Mangusta (which lasted nearly 6 months on its first appearance, which began just after the Roadster's disappearance).
  • 25 cars appeared 3 times (including the Mercedes-Benz/AMG CLK-LM, which made its 4th appearance at the same time as the Roadster's return).
  • 34 cars appeared 4 times.
  • 4 cars appeared 5 times.
  • The 1988 McLaren MP4/4 appeared 6 times.
  • The three "trophy" cars (Jaguar XJ13, Ford Mark IV and Ferrari 330 P4) appeared numerous times as they are on a separate monthly rotation.

Yup, I'm 5 deep in Roadsters now. But hey, I will have one for every situation 😌 Err, I should actually check that...

Stock Hemi
Stock Hemi with bolt ons
Stock Hemi with everything thrown at it!
...
I think I'm going to be one or two short with the Ford engine swap cars.
Darn!
More grinding to do.

Edit: sold some car that where just sitting that I can get new (and a swapped Golf that was useless to me) and got my 6th.
