Nice event this one 👍 I'm on for a good lap quite often and stuff it on the final corner and smash into the tunnel wall 10 feet away from the finish line :D Tried taking the outside line on turn 1 but very erratic so stuck with the inside line for now... I'm down to 50.605 but can close in on a low 50 with some more attempts hopefully 👍

Those 49's are awesome and top marks to the guys who have achieved one :cheers:
 
I guess the one benefit of already owning the XJ13 is that this event was the easiest of the new lot. Excepting the Infiniti VGT super lap, that is. I went under the first AI and got gold first attempt.

Press "sell" and you get the question if you want to sell it for 6million.

Ontopic, today i did that race again, yesterday took me 20 minutes.
I had a 170% login, so i saved my savegame to usb, did the race(s) and put my savegame back and logged in.
Today login and i got my 200% bonus again.
used same settings i did yesterday and got it after 6 minutes racing.2.750.000 credits... wow
All 4 events give 10million, and then there are the 2 vision events.
Wow...I got me a Lambo muira in the game..Let's hope PD does not create an event to win that car.
 
52.462. Took the 330P4 before the last corner, chance for a perfect apex/exit and under 52s time (probably) but got too excited on the throttle and had to adjust :banghead:

Loved this one. Opposite of frustrating for me, such brilliant cars on the track... will definetly try a better time some other day.

Was a bit more challenging than most seasonals, but I love the fact that you are rewarded with a car opposed to a lousy paint chip. Maybe this is a sign of times to come. Would love the chance to try to win a big money car every 2 weeks
 
Best seasonal i've done since the full Nurburgring(starting a full minute behind the rabbit aside),great car and track-my only gripe is that its only a sector,it would have been fantastic to race around the full track...
 
I somehow managed to get gold on this today, still annoyed that I lost the login bonus yesterday, mainly because I've had this problem since I got the damn game

My thoughts exactly.

Give us more of that, but longer!!! I mean, i've always thought these seasonals should be more 'epic'... full laps on the ring under the rain with classic racers... la sarthe with some group C monsters... RALLY, stuff like that. Seasonals should be special, challenging, long, with big prizes and maybe no-assist bonuses... 5-laps at Tsukuba with small japanese cars are 'ok' but... c'mon people!

This is one of my favorite events in a long time. I'm down to 51.4xx. Can't seem to break past that barrier. Would love any hints you might have. I'm not very knowledgable about GT6, honestly, I just use it to practice my driving when I can't get to the track as often as I'd like! Does game setup make a difference? I have traction control, stability control, etc off. I do have ABS set to 1 as it is difficult for me to feel brake lockup in the virtual world.

To me, the key is that first corner, since getting that right clears up a lot of traffic down the road. I'm just not sure how to go faster through it at this point. The biggest problem I have is having to slow down to pass the white car into the right hander up the hill.

Thats also my problem. Im also in 51.5xx We have to get this corner before the white car, and for it the key is the first corner. If we get the white car before the corner we can pass the next one from inside before the next corner. There is the 49.xxx
 
Only had a brief go at this one last night (c.50.7), but I can see where more time is.

Not very keen on the car as PD have it set up for this event - the LSD is waaaay too tight, meaning the car won't rotate in to the corners, then has very sudden oversteer on the exits with zero notice. I sometimes wonder if anyone at PD actually plays their own game.
 
Geeze, I wish I could see video of your 50.x laps. I'm down to 51.3xx now. I've got the white car beat but am still tentative through there. I need to get brave.
 
You should be able to view the replays of the top 10 in the global rankings... why not see how the really fast guys are approaching it... that's what I'll do before I have a proper run at it :)
 
Man, this event is intense. The fact that is sector-based only adds to its difficulty. You really have to predict where will the A.I. be if you want a clean Gold run. I nearly got one myself, but that dreaded last corner was my doom. I really want that XJ13, but I also need a ton of practice if I want one...

Load leaderboard, select to see the first 10, watch replay.
i did, so i knew where to overtake.

ps. if you think this is hard....How did you do on the stratos event? That one is a b!tsh

And don't remind me of that bloody Stratos event, I have not even touched it... I already know that will be a nightmare to handle. But is it harder than that goddamm D1 event!?
 
The Stratos event was fun, but I'm sure my time is not that great, 49.583. I didn't enjoy driving that car as much as the Jag so I really haven't run it that much. Maybe I'll take a break from this one and play with that one for a bit. I don't think I'll ever master passing that first car on the left, unfortunately. Plus, that is not a move I'd ever make in real life, and I try to keep this "semi real".

And they were right, the events are HARD. But I enjoy a little challenge. Speaking of which, I managed to gold the XJ13 event! :D Got me the XJ13 prize car, my very first 20 million CR car in GT6. 👍 And a nice amount of money to boot.

Then take a rest and prepare yourself for 25th december, the next 4 events....Poor Christmass day....Lot's of gamepads flying around..:nervous:
 
Gave it another go and after about 15 minutes finally got Gold. Still using the inside line at T1. Brake hard early and you'll exit fast. Where I really improved my time was in turns 4-6. I caught up with the lead car by T8 or 9 I believe. That car is a blast to drive. Never owned one.
