What I don't understand about the reversal is that, yes, the ball came loose when he hit the ground... but the ball never hit the ground. Dez caught it.

I think most of Seattle wanted Dallas next week just so we could handle them personally, but I didn't want to see Green Bay lose at the same because of our team's close ties with the packs organization. And so Green Bay it is.....

I don't understand the controversy. The ball clearly hit the ground. His hand/forearm was on the outside of the ball, so as he came down the ball clearly contacted the ground and bounced up and out of his possession. The only reason people are talking about it being a "catch" is because of how much help Dallas had received from the refs the last couple games. I guarantee you it would have been called incomplete if it were anyone else.

The Colts. That game was really good. I'm stilled bummed the Raven's lost, but oh well. Dallas lost too.

Also, am I the only one who thinks Gary Busey and John Elway could be brothers?

I think that game was the point at which Luck's road to the HOF passed Manning's induction into it.
Maybe it is just time for him to go now...

Tell you who Denver could hire about now - Josh McDaniels. I mean, that can't go wrong...

Manning played with a torn quad. Denver's problem begins and ends with the fact that they have no one to replace Peyton. Green Bay had Rodgers in the stable for 3 years. It took him 5 years to come into his own.

Honestly, I think Peyton has a good year or two left in him. They lost the game because their O-line played like dog crap. Peyton was getting killed and they couldn't run the ball when necessary.

Buffalo Bills will have the following coaching staff:
Head Coach: Rex Ryan
Offensive Coordinator: Greg Roman
Defensive Coordinator: Dennis Sherman.

No Trestman and Schwartz is out. Please someone tell me how this is any improvement.

Schwartz turned that defense from good to great this year so he should get a lot of looks as at least a defensive coordinator. *Cough* Giants.

New York Jets have hired former Arizona Cardinals Defensive Coordinator Todd Bowles to be their next Head Coach.
It's been reported that Chan Gailey will be his Offensive Coordinator.

The NFL is such a revolving door. Chan Gailey hired Bowles after Miami fired Sparano. Now Bowles returns the favor.

Jack Del Rio will become the new head coach of the Oakland Raiders. I know him best as coach of chqr's Jacksonville Jaguars. Best of luck to JDR to attempt to turn around the Oakland Raiders.

The conference championships are set. Four teams will clash. Two will advance to the Super Bowl; the other two will advance to the Toilet Bowl- as their seasons will be done and flushed down the drain along with everyone else who didn't make the playoffs or didn't advance any further into the playoffs. Who will comprise this season's Super Bowl? It will be the winners of these respective games:

* Indianapols Colts at New England Patriots (AFC Championship game)
* Green Bay Packers at Seattle Seahawks (NFC Championship game)

Good luck to all teams this weekend. Anyone want to make some picks right now on these games?

The Patriots will embarrass the Colts again and run for 200+ yards. ARod's mobility issues will continue and doom the Packers against the tough Seattle D.

Seahawks repeat in a close Super Bowl against New England which is decided by a special teams turnover: 38-33.

This season's Super Bowl will be determined this weekend. Good luck to all teams this weekend and congratulations to the respective conference champions.

That was a nice game.

Comebacks like that one are always entertaining.

Now the Pats vs. Colts :)

How much left until game starts?

THAT was a Championship game. Brilliant comeback by Seattle. I'll be honest and say that I had counted out the Seahawks (and boy did I eat my words!). Hopefully, the Colts/Patriots game can be even half as exciting as the Packers/Seahawks game.

So the Super Bowl will be the worst event of the year, then.
I can't think of anything I want to watch less than a Seahawks-Patriots/Colts Super Bowl. I'm actually physically ill now.

Other than that, pretty frantic season all around. Right until this return to the status quo. Sigh.
