Not So New - ONLINE B-Spec Challenge No.2 [2/1]

I ran the re rx7 tuned down to 500 pp..

Honda s2000 for the 400 pp.. 171 bhp .

For the three race, took less than 35 minutes... I was so tempted to have another bag of crisp and race the 650 pp again for laugh..

So what I'm going to do the rest of the week? With all the races done except the time trial..

easy win
Madrid in a Corvette C1 first try bob lv40 no pushing
Fuji in a BMW GTR 03 first try bob lv40 no pushing
got no time now to try Nurb 24h

I haven't had a chance to play yet - have PD taken away the Spa & Sarthe B-Spec races?
Has our 'cash cow' gone?:nervous:

I used the 86 GT for Madrid and Fuji Speedway and the 2J for Nurburgring. Easy wins with a Level 40 Bob and no coaching.
Very exciting watching Bob working his way through traffic on the ring. 👍

I wish we could get an A & B spec race every time the updates come around. Certainly enjoy the B spec side but when your done its kind of senseless to redo them unless you need the cash to buy cars.

People still haven't understood b-spec, it seems. The point is not to enter a car and bob and walk away.

If that's what you think it is, why do you even bother?

It can't be the credits. They are so easy to come by that people don't even know what to do with anymore. So what's the point, if not enjoying to maneuver your bob into the lead...?

And if you don't, why don't you go play a-spec (i.e. drive yourself)?

Some of us are actually doing it for credits. I buy cars all the time and constantly tune them, so I need money. And I do not always have time to sit there and actually play myself, so why not put my drivers in overpowered cars to earn money for me?

Some just see B-spec as a way to earn money and just choose to play it that way. And if others like guiding Bob through the race, that's great too. Nothing wrong with playing the game in a certain way.

Nothing specially interesting or motivating about this round of seasonals.
Indeed, not challenging at all, just easy 1 million something credits.

Perhaps just little easier things after Spa and Sarthe, maybe there's something else up PD's sleeves for next time.👍

HondaNSX2011: read suggestion of others above.. i did it with Opel Speedster Turbo '00, Bob lvl 39.

I do the seasonals a) to say I've completed them, and b) to keep my matrix updated for others. Every once in a while, I will come across a good seasonal that is more challenging / fun than usual, and I will run it more than once.

Last week, I achieved a personal goal, which was to do something that very few people have accomplished; I won at le Sarthe with the Ford GT LM Spec II Test Car. For me, the time spent was more than worthwhile.

But that's the whole problem with B-spec. It's hands-off for the most part.

Once your drivers are advanced enough to win with proper coaching, they're advanced enough to win with no coaching. The outcome is far more dependent on starting position than anything else for everything but the endurance races.

If you got to make decisions like "pass on the outside here" or "pressure the audi into making a mistake on turn 5" it would be interesting. as it is, it's a total fail for everything but earning credits. And because you can't fast-forward like in GT4, it doesn't even accomplish that properly.

Try the '69 Bluebird Rally Car.

By the way, you were expecting a win with the '88 Accord Coupe? Really?!

dudeondacouch
this is a joke. PD have their heads up their asses.

Agree massively! These are a joke, obvious pd are now focused on cash rather than satisfying their fans! There's only so many times trying different cars on these can be fun! Massive screw up!!

I put 600pp Audi R8 LMS against zonda LM and McLaren F1 GTR, the best finish was P2 with 1 sec behind the F1...
such an intense race :)

yes that right, martilab

Now its funny but I bought the game so I could race different cars. Not collect different cars. You Don't have time to sit there and play a game you bought initially to sit there playing? But you do have time to just press start again to get credits. It's like buying a football game and expecting to just let the game win the league for you.

Why not actually try and play the game for what it is. A racing game. Not a trophy hunt with no effort.

I got through 1st on 24H is Mclaren F1 BMW 575bhp 650PP it is quite easy beat Zonda Lm race car.

they give me lvl 4 ticket is Ford truck (in uk we said Pickup van)

Thank,

Martyn

It just so happened that last time I played I was running the F1 GTR around the ring 24h, so I just went straight into it. Currently in 3rd and catching the leaders, just approaching the carousel section., no coaching as yet But then again all my drivers are on L40...

edit: mind you, Bob is looking a little too relaxed right now

Result: a close race with not too much input. In fact Bob went off after I told him to ovrtake fror first! Pulled it back all by himeself and took the lead at the crest on the final straight.

Currently doing 400 pp with a stock golf, upgrading it 1 item at a time, just to make it interesting.

As you say you bought the game, just like I did for my £45, so it's up to me how I play my game, and once you have completed all or most of the events there are to do, surely one of the only things left is to collect nice cars and have a spanking garage no? If PD put b spec into the game, and expect me to sit there and watch my bob complete a 24 hr race then they are joking... so imo I am going to reap the rewards and rake the cash in, so as I can buy cars and tune them etc! (after all there is a trophey for this)

I agree dudeondacouch the b spec races are totaly a joke to mankind, they are pretty much useless

And why not let people play their games as they wish? Unless it bothers you personally in your living room?

And why not let people play their games as they wish? Unless it bothers you personally in your living room?

It makes not an ounce of difference to me how people want to play the game. But coming onto boards moaning due to the new seasonals etc. not suiting them and their own agenda seems churlish at best.

Maybe I'm being too simplistic. I just thought that a racing game was that. A racing game. You've finished everything then race online.

If it doesn't bother you then would you stop telling people how to play. It's not the purpose of this thread.

I know it might sound sad but I'm enjoying the 400pp spec B by tweaking my car 1 bit at a time, then seeing how much difference each part makes. The fact that the game has different dimensions is what makes it interesting

Well it is good to know at least someone is enjoying the new seasonals :)

So because you don't like themPD screwed up? God why do people say such ludicrous things, I'm not fond of them either, but I wouldn't say they screwed up.
