I think the issue is that the AI seem to vary in terms of their times. Sometimes I get a Lotus that keeps winning in 5:53. In that case I can't seem to beat it. But other times the AI car comes in at around 6:03/6:05 which I can beat.

BTW, another fun car for this race is a Ferrari California '08.

Yeah, it is really weird. I decided to use my fully tuned GT86 with SH and I got 2:02, 1:57, and 1:58 and won by a mile.

I think the GT86 is one of my new favorites, that car handles great!

I will try the California '08 tonight.
