Something cheap, cause I missed on the glitch ;)
No Ferrari GTO then?? :dopey:

With the seasonals, log-in bonus and increased payouts it shouldn't take long to earn some coin. We could stick to the recommended garage this weekend, it has some good cars including the shifter kart and BRZ GT300.

+1 to this
The new seasonals are paying out 500,000+.

I took the cappy and rocket out on GVE (where else!) last night; the rocket hits the limiter before the start/finish line. The cappy feels tame, even when fully loaded (no nitros though). Mind you I did have tc at 1.

Even the RM'd Cappy had less than 100hp stock. You had to manually add the Turbo and I think Racing Exhaust to get it to the full 137. What was the stock HP in this version?

Thought I read something in one of the Notifications about $6 Million being available? Also noticed in the RedBull event you can take the Kart onto Autumn Ring Mini even though it has time/weather change.

Yes, so far in career mode I've raced karts on ARM, Brands Hatch and Streets of Willow.....all tracks that we are not allowed to race karts on otherwise (online, free run, etc.). This is one of the more frustrating things I've seen so far in the game, especially since all 3 are great kart tracks (especially Streets of Willow). :banghead:

I think it was about 98. Fully kitted out (without NO2) it's about 168! The power still drops dramatically after 8000 rpm.

Sorry to horn in here. :guilty:) But it's often the easiest way to get accurate information about stuff like this...

Regarding the NO2 or nitrous or whatever the hip peeps are calling it these days...

I see in room settings online... That allowing the nitrous is a SEPARATE option that is still available with "tuning prohibited" on... Well or it looks to be. I haven't actually tried it.
Is it possible to have room settings NOT allow tuning, but that DO allow the use of Nitrous?

No. Selecting Tuning prohibited will set the option for Nitrous to 'Prohibited' and grey out the field. Selecting Nitrous Allowed first and then selecting Tuning Prohibited will revert the Nitrous to prohibited and grey the field.

Thanks.
A shame really I think. But thanks for clarifying that.

(yet another time I went to "like" but then realized it would sound like I was happy about the news. *sigh*)

My Xmas present to myself has been ordered, thanks to a tasty bonus from the boss! :D Probably won't be here until after Xmas but still quite excited!

I almost got a fanatec wheel as my present to me. I picked the G27 only because I could easily find how to fix anything online (and it was a little cheaper).

As for a fun cheap car I would suggest the Caterham on CM tires.

I have a G27 carcass, if you ever need any parts (besides the optical sensor wheel) let me know.

I see, some dealing of necro-parts going on here...
Anyway, I did the stupid grind to unlock online, so I should be available sometime this weekend for some online action.

Good deal. I'll be around and racing most of the weekend, we can all meet up around 2 or 3pm EST tomorrow if others are available. There are a handful of good cars in the recommended ("loaner") garage we can play with, that way we know everyone can have one. 👍

Room is open, it's friends only so you should be able to follow me in. I'll find a few good ones from the loaner garage for us to race.

Dsg got it.

I slept all day, missing your session of course. I should be on shortly, however, and for a while this evening.

Edit: I'll be on an off the PSN, so if anyone wants to do some driving just post up here and I'll be over.

So, to save me from weeding through countless posts: is there a way to make GT6 look less blurry other than choosing 'sharpen' in options? I find that I can't reliably pick out upcoming braking/turn-in/apex points with all the blurriness.

I haven't noticed blurriness. I do find it a bit harder to see turn-in/apex points from cockpit view but I think that's just because it seems to be darker from that view. I've tried "sharpen" and "flicker reduction" but don't notice any real difference, but I'm also on a small monitor so maybe it doesn't show the blurriness that some see.

It's Christmas 12 months a year here Man!!

Have you noticed many of the horizontal and vertical lines flickering like mad? Like the starting grid lines on many tracks just flicker like crazy, fence lines etc. I find the whole game darker than GT5 myself or the lighting is a bit off somehow. I didn't expect much on the PS3 and I can live with it the way it is, but I sure can't wait for PS4 so we don't have to deal with these graphics comprimises anymore!!

I do see some flickering occasionally but it's usually on objects that are far in the distance and doesn't bother me. Mostly on things like shadows and fences. I suppose I should get my panties in a bunch like others do but every video game I've ever played over the last ~30 years has had these kinds of hiccups and I don't expect they'll ever really go away. Even on more powerful consoles the developers will push things to the very limit of what's possible which will result in occasional mis-behaviors in the graphics. Just the nature of things and not a big deal in my book. I'm so blown away by the full-time change features on some tracks that I can't be bothered to complain about a funny shadow. I did sunrise at Daytona Road last night and it was simply breath-taking. 👍

I'm thinking about doing a one-off spec 24hr Daytona themed enduro race, perhaps with the M3 GT2 Base Model and it's two liveried sisters on SS, no tuning. I'm not planning anything major until we get the "community" update in January.
