other than that, i cant see myself on the podium tonight..
got some real talent in these drivers, and i think everyone has been practicing more than usual for this last race.. its sure to go out with a bang...
its good though, the better the competition, the better you race!
 
good race last night guys, race pace was amazing... well done.
unfortunatley, i smashed my tyres chasing down taital and trying to get away from xerx - it was a good 15 laps or so until then... when i decided to put it in the wall!!
all in all, great race, great championship, great drivers. congrats to oni on hosting a great championship - and taking the championship win!

hey mate watched you, you didnt pit till abit later while on hards and you pitted and got mediums.... why not softs? and also u have some good tyre wear barf!
 
Thanks all for participating in the series. I couldn't have hosted a great series without having the great drivers who make it. So big thanks to you all for sticking to the rules, keeping it clean and just having fun out there no matter where you finish. Great group of drivers with no egos. Cant beat that!

There were battles all over the field and that is what we want. The next series (IS-F RM) will be seeing more of these with the new tyre compounds and handicap rules.

The driver and team podium is updated now. The teams and drivers that won will need to post either here or PM me on the PSN with which car you want for your prize. Congratulations to the drivers and the teams. It was an intense series.

I know we all talked about this at the end of the series that it would be nice for all to share their setups and compare. So here is mine.

This setup was used from Suzuka onwards. Grand Valley had a loose setup.

Aero: Max
Ballast: 0/0

Ride Height: -8/-22
Suspension: 6.5/11.8
Extensions: 6/7
Compressions: 4/4
Anti Rolls: 2/3

Camber: 1.2/0.5
Toe: +0.03/0.00

My setup which I had trouble making work at Grand Valley but was good at the other circuits was;

My Setup was so completely off what you guys had it's a joke.

Not Neccesarily. Your setup is all down to how you drive, their setups are all down to how they drive. Your setup may not have been far off what you needed to keep pace.
 
True, but you don't understand, this was my first attempt at tuning in GT5.

I had springs at maximum minus 1. All the damper and anti roll bar settings nearly as high as possible. 2/1 camber and the ride height was max minus like 2mm, so yeah. It was pretttttyy bad tuning on my part :P

I would not have expected you to change your BB to mine, I know you tested it but said you were not sure if you liked it... Well, now I know! :lol:
Also amazed we ended up at the same LSD settings, I played with that almost every race (because I have little/no idea on LSD tuning) and that was what I found to be the best... Good guess Xerx, good guess... *pats self on back* :sly:
 
Well I gave Lost's Silvia setup a try around Grand Valley. Really good.

What was notable, as soon as I saw the setup posted here, was that he took a different approach to the setup than anyone else ( that I know of ). The Silvia is an understeering car, we had all lifted the nose to fix the understeer problem ( good old GT5 reverse car physics ). But Lost had the nose down . . . seems like he fixed the understeer by using aero and ballast. Then is able to run with the nose down.

The resulting car is so much better: fast corners, slow corners - the lot. The old setup I used had been good in fast corners, but just felt out of its element in the tight corners, i.e. 2nd section Grand Valley. But with Lost's setup the car drove through there really well, surefooted.

Hey mick buddy, thank you heaps for the feedback, and taking the time to try the setup. how much quicker were u around grandvalley? i know the 2nd and last sectors were my strongest. and yeah i like the nose down you get better weight shift

After just a few laps I was 1.2 sec quicker. But it felt like it had more in it, could have been closer to 2secs really if I got everything sorted.
