The Shelby is an amazing car and I can't believe I haven't used it before. I stayed back with Ice for some testing. Used a Shelby with stock tune and was running 5 seconds a lap faster than the vette.

How does a FR achieve 50/50 balance?

The majority of the engine's weight is behind the front tires.

Sorry guys but Tuesdays just don't work for me at all. I moved my softball team to play league 1 in a different to try and free up Tuesdays and then got called to work the first Tuesday night of the season. Then the issues with the cars came up and it looked like the series was going to end. I was asked to play on another league 1 softball team back in the original city on Tuesdays, so I took the opportunity to play thinking there wouldn't be any racing on Tuesdasy for a while.

To make a long story short (I know, too late). I'm back to playing softball on Tuesdays.

Completely understandable. Any interesting in tuning still?

I miss Parity Tuesdays....💡

Yeah... it is tempting. That doesn't require any planning. Just show up with a car.

It was fun and we always had a great turn out. With the current number of SNAILS you would probably fill 2 rooms. Overall winner for the night would pick the next week's car.

Okay, so I have to admit, I don't have a tune, yet, and I don't really have a team mate, yet, so... I put up a poll. How many people are interested and excited about another round of STaTS? How many would rather do parity racing?

And I see we have some fantastic choices in the online dealership, so I posted some options from that.

I chose the last option and it's not because I don't want to continue the STaTS series, but I don't know how ready I am, or anyone else is for the FF cars. I still think that having one car for everyone to tune and race would be the easiest approach. It would better show off the tuners' abilities and would make the racing closer. As an alternative suggestion, next week we could run one of the FF RM's untuned, and make sure that the ballast system is effective.

I like the idea testing out the ballast with these new cars. It would also let us find out who is the fastest in this class. From that, maybe we can make teams more even in terms of driver skill.

It's almost like having the off season for R&D.

I would like to make a couple cars to take a shot as a constructor, to see if anyone would want to race them.

Okay, everyone. Come out in one (or all) of the FF RMs. You don't even have to break it in (I think I broke in the Civic cause the one I want to drive, but I haven't broken in the rest). We can run some little races and see how well they stack up against each other, and test out the ballast system.

I'll join in considering I'm able too. Usually good to go on Tuesday.

Is all info needed in first post?

Drat, I can't toggle the poll at the beginning.

Okay, this is what we are going to do (things are sort of looking up, but I'm not sure, so... I may get busy still):

This coming Tuesday will just be a Tuning Prohibited testing session. We will run as many short races as we can with a single RM car. We will either run the Golf or the Silvia. I'm leaning toward the Sylvia, but I'd like some input from you guys.

On October 2, we will start the new series. It will be one make, no extra parts, and one of the above cars. Again, two man teams, running the same color (though different numbers and you can run different color wheels). Come October 2, you can tune anything you want, but you have to meet the HP/Weight limits of the car broken in. I would rather you not resort to using the engine limiter.

Every FF car in GT feels like a ball of silly putty. My vote is also for the Silvia.

So who wants to be my constructor and teammate?

P.S. Dibs on #21

I'm in for some racing. I'll pass on tuning this time around. Too much fussing...give me a car and I'll drive it ;)

Okay, I've updated the first post. I still need to work out a format for the evening, and thus lap times, and I need to see how the car looks broken in. And I need to finalize the ballast weight system.

This Tuesday will be a Tuning Prohibited practice in these cars. Don't worry about teams, just bring one of these. I want to test out the format and ballast system.

In the mean time, get a teammate, and either tune the car yourself, or find someone willing to tune. I'll start editing the second post, so if you want to drive or tune, let me know. I'll put what I have.

I haven't given up on more than one car. Maybe after this season we can try. I let one of my Bobs run five cars around GVE just to get the lap times. The results are in Google Docs.

I think we could get the S15, the Mazda Roadster, and the DC5 close enough to race. Maybe the EK, too. I haven't had a chance to look at others.

I may be interested in this again if the kinks have been worked out. I'd be interested in tuning and driving.

This season, we are only running one car, the Silvia RM. So there are no kinks to work out. We are testing different ballast strategies this week. Racing starts on 2 October.

We have eight drivers signed up. Four of them are already in teams. The other four could form two more teams, or they could find some more people to join.

I would like to race but have no team mate!

Wish i could join tonight but the internet at this hotel is awful.

I'll join in considering I'm able too. Usually good to go on Tuesday.

You can join in with me if you'd like, just decided to do this.

If you guys want to, let me know.

I don't have Wolf, Hill, or Owens listed in the second post because I didn't know if they wanted to race in the season, or just turn up for the practice last Tuesday. The more the merrier.

I hope to race this series as long as the hotels I'm at on Tuesday nights have a good connection. Don't have a teammate yet.

Okay, tonight is testing night. I am ready. I have not one but two spreadsheets ready for tonight. One uses BTCC ballast, the other uses SCCA. I think the BTCC system will be better. If we can, the plan is to run six short races on tracks with a good balance, like one of the Nurburgring GP courses, or Laguna Seca or something.

And I think this song would be really good for a little car music video intro. Dark garages, cars sitting idle. Garage doors slowly rising, letting long waves of morning light in, casting heavy shadows. Panning shots, fading from one car to the other.

Would be quite a nice dramatic intro.

Maybe just a 30 second spot or something, ending with a fade to black perhaps with an engine start in the background, or a tire squeal, ending the music, and then a darker SNAIL logo. Nothing else.
