The GTP Rolex Sports Car Series- Brickyard Grand Prix! Finished!

Slightly off topic but whilst you guys are talking about going to the real thing I got my le mans tickets reserved today :D

What Ross said. There is a vette or two, but the Camaro is "more grand am" than the corvette, as it seems to be quicker IRL.

This year in the Rolex 24, there are as many Corvette entries as Camaro entries......

Is this testing to be done on our own time, and then we report here with our fastest laptime?

Sign me up for the Italia.

We like for people to report lap times that they get from testing on their own especially when we are starting a new season. Make sure you report the times if you can run a particular car much faster than the others. We don't want 1 dominant car :)

Looking forward to this, my current best lap in DP is around the mid 1:27's. Not in the 1:26's as i said earlier (i got a bit mixed up).

Okay, great. having balanced cars is crucial. I should have some time for this later today. I'll try one maybe two other cars to compare lap times with the Italia.

Thanks guys.

The race (Indy) to test the specs for Season 4, will be after or before the last race (Laguna Seca) of season 3?

I tested these 3 cars and for the Vantage I could only get the weight down to 1,362kg.

I did roughtly 10-12 laps in each car with a nearly identical aero (max), settings, drivetrain (60/60/15), transmission (183 mph top speed) setup as each car behaved similarly.

458 Italia - 1:33.351

V12 Vantage - 1:33.406

Camaro SS - 1:33.281

All 3 cars were hovering within a .5 (or less) lap by lap. I'd say don't change a thing, they are about as equal as you can ask for (my 2 cents :)).

That's great man. I'm glad the cars are already so equal. All we have to do is balance either the corvette or the m3 to that pace, and we will have our specs and cars for gt.

He didn't test the Audi dude...

The wifey wants to watch a flick tonight, but tomorrow I can test the Audi 👍

Sounds good! The Audi will be slow at some tracks, and quicker at some. It's hard to get it equal everywhere because of the all wheel drive.

Oh and I assumed you wanted to test on the Indy Road Course, yes?
