^^ not entirely true bud, there is talk of it coming in early, and when I say early even I'm seriously surprised at how early it could be, less then 8 weeks could be the first event, the ins and outs are to be refined but ALMS has gone broke and got no fans,
Apparently they are going to run the next rolex round as is planned, but then they should be together for the next event, using the indy/ champ car merger as R&D to how quick it can happen,
I really miss champ car, specially the late 90s,

I don't know, I believe it will remain as grand am, as ALMS is/was owned by don panoz and grand am is 65% owned by nascar, its hard to see nascar corperation going broke lol,

Yea, ALMS failed because they let manufacturers get too involved. At least Grand-am is regulating it enough so that it doesn't become a contest of outspending your opponent.

I know one ALMS fan who speaks for a vast majority of ALMS fans, by inflating specs...Anyone read the comments on any of the articles? All of the ALMS guys are whinging on about how ugly DP is. ???????????????????????? NOT EVER!!!! That #90 Spirit of Daytona... (blue car, driven by a Spanish speaker, sounds familiar) is STUNNING.

How about the Blue/White #8 Starworks Ford Riley. That blue stripe down the middle with the hourglass 8 is awesome. I actually think the Michael Shank Racing #60 car looks the best.

In GT, I will have to say that the yellow #87 Viper looked the best when you stood right beside it at the Rolex 24. The #60 DP was the same way. The cars look better when you can basically reach out and touch them
