Should we have Team Owners in Season 3?

Self-plugs. I haven't heard a single driver brag in Rolex. Only in F1.

Um... okay... I haven't heard one brag in recent memory... but whatever.

And so, penultimate race approaching. Are we changing the points system or no?

"Seemingly" overpowered car - Viper

"Definitely underrated" driver - Storm

Shameless self plugs. :sly:

No bragging? None at all?

No points system change... though, I guess I'd like to be re-imbursed for my penalty at Indy...

Preseason- This will be longer to make sure specs are equal!

Daytona road course
Rome
Cape Ring South
Madrid

You MUST attend 3 of these to be eligible in the regular season. If you pm me with a good reason why you can't, I will make a exception.

Regular season-

Daytona Road (NAEC)

Nurb GP/D

Tokyo R246

Cape ring south

Indy Road (NAEC)

Madrid/Rome

Laguna Seca (NAEC)

Let's discuss!!!

Madrid yes = Rome no. <== My vote

Anyways, I've been working on specs. Same problem, I guess. The cars without front aero feel slower in corners.

Feel? How are the lap times? Best way to figure this out is by racing. That's why I'm tossing 2 more races in

4 pre-season races? Can we do two per week? Saturdays and Sundays, maybe?

Someone doesn't want to take a break between seasons!

I'm definitely not doing races on Sundays, I watch racing on Sunday's, and since I plan on trying in school this year, I'll be studying :)

Break, racing? What? No, I want to be competitive year-round, when I don't get confounded by bad luck.

^^ a lap difference on some tracks, two on others, and they're even on some.

I tried to get a good balance of tracks in the pre season, would you like any changes? Mostly so that we could get specs closer all around.

ghs, a "break" can allow you time to tune, and prepare. Daytona's an easy race to win, if you can get it right. That sets you up for a good season. Look at Storm.

I don't have time to tune anymore. I just don't enjoy breaks, that's all. Except for summer break, of course.

Like I said, the only break would be from points races.

We'd still have races, just not points races.

And why do you enjoy summer break? Freedom? Freedom to be lazy?

The pre-season is that freedom to be lazy. You tune during pre-season, and get your car set-up for the full season. Then, after that, you only need small changes for the entire season.

It's still just as much fun, but, the points situation doesn't matter.

I almost enjoy it more :) we get to see some new guys, and we have massive grids :P

If that caution wasn't so screwed up, we'd have 12+ grids every week, no doubt.

We understand cautions now. Let's not change them. Adds a "let's keep going, even if some idiot in a Porsche takes me out" factor. Makes it worth waiting 'til the end of the race, without pulling over/quitting. Also, it can be a huge strategy call, which adds an "oh, 🤬, what should I do?

That's why I brought it up mel ;)

Thing is, will the meds fix the tire wear problem?

They'd lessen it. I'm not sure what it would do with the lap times, though. But, Mediums would wear out a little less quickly, which would help to keep the longer battles we have, going, until a caution, OR would, if nothing else, lessen the gaps between the cars. I have a feeling that Storm's won a few races in Season II by pitting less often, due to his improved tire wear. Paul couldn't make his tires last as long as my Mazda's tires, surprisingly, and Storm ran two laps longer than the Mazda; advantage to Dodge, and it's huge.

I'd like to return for season 3 in DP. If were using mediums on the DP's. I'll take whatever car is available. I also would like to suggest we have stewarding on incidents and proper penalties for bad driving. Maybe a voting system on the severity of the penalty from an incident?

With tire wear being a problem for certain cars, they should run a lighter weight IMO. Also with lower power tire wear is lessened. So the GT's with tire wear problems now may not be so bad next season if you run 400hp.

I only couldn't at SSR5 when you over baulked the Camaro and I needed to go nearly flat out to keep up. In Toyko, GP/F and Indy I made my tyres last longer.. But that's mostly driver related than car.
