Should we have Team Owners in Season 3?

They'd lessen it. I'm not sure what it would do with the lap times, though. But, Mediums would wear out a little less quickly, which would help to keep the longer battles we have, going, until a caution, OR would, if nothing else, lessen the gaps between the cars. I have a feeling that Storm's won a few races in Season II by pitting less often, due to his improved tire wear. Paul couldn't make his tires last as long as my Mazda's tires, surprisingly, and Storm ran two laps longer than the Mazda; advantage to Dodge, and it's huge.
So.... Basically you're saying that my wins have **** all to do with me as a driver?

Your S2 champion based on the finishing results on Suzuka Storm, well done 👍.

Btw that was nice typing caution when not involved for Polar's sake, I sadly wouldn't have done it if I was in a huge lead like you said you were.. That probably makes me bad :guilty:.

It was truly a noble thing.

It was a generous thing of storm to do, very generous in fact.

Also, when should I get the season 3 thread up?

It will feature:

The new GT car list (which we need to figure out for sure PRONTO)

New DP specs

New track list

More detailed caution procedure

Pre determined lap numbers

A better explanation of our lobby schedule

I'd recommend that you don't talk to me with such a tone. Seriously, stop, I'm getting tired of your rubbing it in my face, that you're doing better this season. I've been taken out in every race, except SSR5, which, so far as I can tell, I won.

Today's race went belly-up for everyone, except, especially for me, since I had 🤬 track position, because I chose to start on hards. Was my decision, and my poor luck in Season II, that the cautions went belly-up.

I mean, imagine, if Monza hadn't gone belly-up? If Daytona hadn't gone belly-up, because of your front bumper? If Nürb hadn't gone belly-up because of the connection? If Fuji hadn't gone belly-up with us sharing that same strategy, which didn't work for either of us? Yeah, I'd still be okay.

But, your car's doing quite well. Paul's no push-over, but, you're beating him. You're beating me, even though I'm decently fast...

I'll say that you're not the worst driver in the field, but, while your ego inflates to Seth-size-status, I'm going to have to tell you, that it's not JUST the driver.

I'm not rubbing it in your face, Mel... but I do love how me mentioning anything makes you squirm; it's funny. I'm just sick and tired of how everything you come out with makes it think that its mostly the car's doing. If we're also gonna bring up belly-ups, how many times have I DC'd this season? Those count as belly-ups too.

Oh, and don't bring up Daytona, I've proved I was nowhere near you in a video I let everyone see. Prove me wrong. Do it. And this time instead of crying off showing other people, show ME that video.

EVORA! Also, if the GT specs will be -50bhp of this year, should we start testing the Mazda at 425/1250?

I have no standing to comment for the DP.

Tracks - Avoiding the corner cutting tracks would be beneficial (so most tracks). If there are city circuits Tokyo (:scared:) & SSR5 are the best for not squeezing at points.

Cautions - As soon as the 2nd person calls caution, closed pits. Those on no rubber can just get past the pits and pause to cruise around. There's a no overtaking rule so it helps everyone in that scenario. If <10% of the race is remaining, then either ignore the caution and race on or if 3 or more people are involved, then red flag.

Lobby Schedule - Open 2 separate lobbies simultaneously where 1 does GT, other does DP. Get Qualifying done, then use the next 15 minutes to merge the lobbies and have a break.

For cautions inside of 3 to go, the race just ends under caution under our current policy. Does anyone want to change that?

Also, could we please get rid of TC for season 3? No one uses it, so let's just get rid of it.

What about Le Mans?

We might not be going back to Le Mans next year. I am not sure about that though. I didn't think about the Le Mans caution rule though. I guess there always are exceptions to the rule.

I would like to go back to Le Mans.

But it's a "long" track.. I would be a bit easier for all of our tracks to have the same procedure; 1 formation lap, and the cautions being the 2 lap set up we have now.

The starting specs for cars next year will be up soon. Polar will probably post when they are up. :) They are definitely subject to change though, so don't go bonkers yet

Please say what ya think! This is what we came up in our heads, so they will change!

Looks good, I'm up for some testing on those specs once I get home. Will they be on mediums?

Err I remember that differently... Punting Storm off in the last 5 seconds off the countdown timer.. :ill: Sorry but you never won that one..

Just thought I'd clear that up ;).

Btw Mazda is too heavy it'll need less weight than that.

The race was called as of who crossed the finish line for the last time, first, since Storm hit me & I retaliated.

We actually had the Camaro at 1250Kg xD so it is very possible that the mazda doesn't even get that high, but it may need to be lighter for the sake of being able to keep up :)

And Mel, that's over, let's not go back down that road...

I would say personaly at those specs Mazda would end around 1200kgs, I'm sure you'll get it right.

^^ Sick of being accused. Sorry. I'm standing up for myself, while people drag my name through the mud.

:) thanks :)

It will just take a few people testing the cars.

Like I said on the season 2 thread, I'm getting a spot race together to test the season 3 specs! It's 85 laps at Daytona!

We will try out the season 3 specs, and maybe racing mediums!

I'll test their tire life on mediums in a technical track first then a track like Monza/Spa. I'll show you guys the results later on.

Suzuka wears tires quite quickly; the first four corners are MENTAL.

Exactly, it'll separate the tire eaters from the tire savers. Monza and Spa are good for top speed tests, since I don't have SSRX :(

;(

Almost done on the Spot race thread. It'll be on September 22nd, time is TBD

On which track does Top Speed come into play like that? I'd recommend balancing the cars to reach 255 km/h @ Spa's straight after Eau Rouge (Camal straight?)

Is it a Saturday?

We need to test it but I keep thinking that the Nissan is heavy!
