Bad news for the 1st of august

The following content will be reset when the update is applied.
- Ranking
- Key assignments set in “Option”
- Quick tune settings saved for individual cars
 
I hope when the full GT5 is released they won't reset the rankings. We're trying to get the best placement possible and then they just take all our efforts out. Besides, we never know whether we are really record holders or if someone was faster before the last reset.

Still, I match or better Timo's T1, then I don't have a clue how he squeezes off that T2, no matter how many times I watch his replay. It doesn't even look as he's doing that awesomely amazingly well until the T2 split time shows and my jaw drops.
Then, I gain a bit on him on the final sector again.

Beerz..... that is exactly my issue...... i've loaded Timmpaq's ghost and i've peeled off a 21.169 S1..... but i just watch his S2 split and scratch my head..... he's nearly on the rumble strip exiting the first turn of the esses yet he just turns in and holds the line all through the remaining esses, into Gyaku Curve and into Dunlop.

It's incredible. My best S2 split is somewhere in the 39.4 range..... so i'm losing the best part of half a second between the splits. Everywhere else i can level peg the legends Timmpaq and Spyrrari....... Hence the 58.044.

When did you get a wheel? I recall I used to normally be slightly faster than you but now you're kicking my butt.:)

Bought it when i got the PS3 and GT5:P.... so nearly 3 months, but i put in roughly 15-20 hrs a week on it... so in driving time not quite a month.

Did you notice the difference between yourself (Timo) and Spyrrari at T1 is .123 and the identical gap at T2 of .123 for both of you :eek: now that's some close racing for that section ;)

fine by me mate...the thing that makes me smile about this thing is the competition/the fun/the squeezing out of a car on a track,etc etc....not who's first by a fraction of a second:):)

also i have just too little time on my hands to really sit down with a mission only to become first with 0,001 sec..

anyhow,i give it one more try tomorrow for 5 laps,and if the "magic" one isnt there,bad luck:sly:

If only Polyphony weren't such tightasses. Indeed, twould probably be best for all involved in the ever-growing WATA that we drop next week's race event and spend the time discussing future combinations, hearing recommendations (such as an all-time leaderscore board, like that of the WRS') and taking submissions for WATA banners (the introductory title, and the subsequent subheadings as displayed per the first post).

Holding another race event for next week would be no problem for me, but it is up to you as to whether or not you want to invest a lot of effort and time into a lap that will ultimately be removed within just a few days.

Also, I've experienced a flood of combination suggestions at my inbox, so I apologise if anyone's emails failed to make it through (as it was capped at the non-premium limit of 50 messages). I really should get premium...

P.S - Take a look at the updated leaderboard and you'll see that it has been substantially updated. This is because over 10 people whose times were on the in-game leaderboard failed to post it here. 👍

@GT Pro..,so what are the most recommended combination suggestions so far??
what do you think,make a poll...or create a list with favorites?:)...

Don't forget to write down your setups if you haven't already ;)

Finding out that your perfect setup is deleted would be a pain.
 
I forgot to post my slight improvement from yesterday, Very slight. :embarrassed: GTP_hyperuk - 0'58.236. I have more time tomorrow so I will try and better my time some more. :sly:
 
I had a little time for this before heading out to see "Backdoor Slam" (UK Blues/Rock) play a free live outdoor show here in Burlington.

My suggestion is you pick one of the new Online Time Trials as the event we all have a crack at. That way the update really doesn't affect our attempts at swarming the leaderboards...my picks (in order of preference) would be the F2007, Lancer or GTR 👍
 
I've already been running the Fuji Lancer time trial today .. cool combo yet very difficult to match the top runner in the mid section :crazy:

Well worth a shot anyway .. down to 4th so far! another .1 to bag 2nd yet another .6 to match 1st :banghead:
