My bros, who cares if they only have one track in a show floor demo... that's how things have always been done.

FIFA 10 Gamescom demo only has a handful teams, but do you really think it's because the rest are not done? No, it's because that's not what the developers want you to focus on.

Currently all granturismo (en/jp/us) websites are down for maintenance.

Yeah I noticed this as well...

Ok Im a believer... happens to be one of my favorite tracks too :) Finally some good news about GT5!! My day is made!! :)👍

to far away to say if thats the v10 r8

It's not, it's the V8 it seems. The side intake cowlings appear to be the standard V8's. But with a close look I may still be wrong.

Joysiq (ps3 fanboy) has this up.......

There have been some big PlayStation-related announcements today: the PS3 Slim, a PS3 price drop and now the Gran Turismo series is really, seriously, finally incorporating visible car damage. On the official Gran Turismo 5 site, the latest spec sheet for the game touts that its physics model "completely renders deformation from crash." Not scratches, not scuffs, but deformation. (Backing up what we saw in the E3 trailer for the game.)

The site also reveals that, in what seems to be an attempt to make up for the absence of spectacular crashes, cars will flip and even land upside-down in reaction to collisions. Of course, all of this will be for naught if a simple bump -- the kind that, in GT5 Prologue, pushes cars aside like they're made of balsa wood -- instantly totals other autos and sends them flying to the moon. We don't think we can wait until GT7 for that to be fixed.

Sorry if it's been posted, I tried to check on the official site but as reported on her it's "down for maintinece"

its easy to tell by the wheels and the exhaust pipes , but cant see them :/

I'd like to point out that we have here road cars in a race alongside what appears to be a fully damageable car. Damage not restricted to race cars only?

I didn't think about that! You are right, how can the scooby crash but not the other cars. I think this confirms it, but we really need some more gameplay vids, someone has to crash into the other cars.

You know what one should do? As soon as the race starts, he should turn around and hit a car (possible a stock model) head-on. That should give us an idea of the damage model.

Well it's a rally car, you could argue that they were more keen on getting damage done in there; rather then lets say: a Daihatsu Copen.

Well sirolf from Gaf said that gameplay video showing damage is being uploaded. Interesting to see what the damage looks like in full view.

Side skirts, side air dam, front bumper (very slightly) are all different on the V10, plus the V10 badge. but in the video all I can see for now clear enough is the side airdam, which appears to be the V8's.

Gran-turismo.com works now and they put the GT PSP article back on that they removed earlier, but not the GT5 article.
