Bad luck on my part. It was supposed to be week by week, but everyone was busy at
Christmas, i got drunk a few days, then my computer crashed :( We shall put some laps in
by friday and move on.

To be honest, im sick and tired of Monaco myself. I love it, but now i hate it... at least
these past two weeks. I think i've done 300+ laps already. Mostly online sessions :)

It will be Thursday 9:00 AM in Sweden.

p.s. it's preseason race 2

Did you settle for GT300?

Yeah, I thought there was now room in GT500 anymore? I have the Cusco Scooby ready to go... just need to tweak it for Monaco. I also purchased a Calsonic GTR GT500 car though :D

Race length.
I think it would be great idea to run a longer race. At 20 laps, making it a 1-stop race is pretty much a no brainer. At 30 laps, I can see a 1-, 2- or maybe even a 3-stop race viable.

Tires.
I have only raced on soft and medium and I'm a little puzzled how they work. Soft is of course fastest and easiest to drive and when they go off, they go off slowly. We ran medium at Strittan's first race. When they go off, they go off much quicker than soft. Lastly, and I'm not sure about this, but medium seems to last shorter time than soft. Could be that when medium start to go off, you really lack grip and lap times go up quickly. Unfortunately, I also don't think medium lasts longer than soft as they should.

Cars,
Let's stick with the proposed car list for the pre season or at least for Monaco. I think more car choices would be fun, but I'm not sure opening up for potentially superiour cars that cannot be bought directly from the dealership is a good idea.

Cheers

Blitz, i've got a sub as well :) shall we team up? show everyone that the cusco's mean business?

Not to be rude but why don't we just stick to the current rules and if it doesn't work after the first 2 races we can all still come together and brainwash about it. As it looks coming up with new stuff will only slow down te process and we might never start this wonderfull championship lol. Just sayin

what if we upgrade the gt300 to gt 500 specs Masi. i think that is possible with the tuning shop even pd had that in mind when tuning gt300. in that way all cars will be almost equal in the same lobby:D

That's what we're doing, we discuss as we go. There is no mention that we're going to apply every single thing we propose, right away. They are more pointed towards to the actual regular season.

WoW I just found this site and thread. I only have one question with qualifying? we posting lap times from running around in practice session or from an online room. I feel the handling is a bit different between the 2.? but i love this idea well done lads. I'm gonna get cracking. Is anyone free to join based on lap times or is there a certain reserved spots?

Signing up determines your Class (GT500/GT300). Anyone can enter.

You have to race your way in every week through qualifying, that way, its fair for everyone. No first come first serve basis :)

Yes, you have save your "Ghost Replay (Fastest Lap)" in practice.

had a session this morning doing 1m36 sec int the gt300rx7 and 1min 32 sec in the gt500 z. wow 3 secs slower didn't think i was that bad. holy moly you guys are quick.

Well, they have the advantage of experience. This week's race has been delayed for 2 weeks now. Also, their cars most likely have been fully broken-in so they have a bit more power.

If teams are needed, then we can team up... no probs!

A bit confused about attaching it here. What should be placed? Because if I attach it all it's 3.66 MB and it can only be 1 MB.

EDIT: I put only the RPL folder here. Hope it will work.

Côte de Azur Official lap time
PSN: bombe32
Class: GT500
Lap time: 1.30.4xx (think 34.434, not sure though)

Review: Did not work. It shouldn't be more than 3MB. Driftking's replay was less than 300kb, im not sure why yours is that big. Is it the "Ghost Replay" you saved, or just the whole replay of your free run session?

Review: Clean 👍 ...although you did touch the wall by the tinniest bit at the bus stop, but i don't think you gained any advantage out of it. I'll let it slide since it's the preseason.

I want to compete in GT500, Which cars can I use? Can I upgrade it? And if, what parts are ok? I understand that one can change suspension and aero offcourse. Was just wondering about upgraded, cause when I read the post I could not get the rules straight.

Also, which track is raced in the next upcoming preseasonal and when(Q-lap and raceday)?

When does the real season start?

You cannot install any aftermarket parts. No engine upgrades, no turbo kits. The only things you can buy and install are Racing Tires. You can also do Engine Overhaul, Chassis Restore, and Oil change inside GT AUTO. That's it.

It is decided by the poll on top of page 1. Please vote.

It's not decided yet. Maybe after 2 races. This week and next week.

I saved the ghost lap and then exported it. Got 5 folders, not sure what I should attach though...

nice lap!
im sure you could have broken 1:30 with a couple corrections (turn into back tunnel straight was wide 1:08-1:10, and 3rd to last turn was tapped 1:39)

I saved the ghost lap and then exported it. Got 5 folders, not sure what I sure attach though...

How did that happen? Maybe you exported all your saved replays in your replay theater? Make sure you highlight your specific replay first and then press triangle and select export :)

edit: btw, once you copy the replay file from your save data to your flash drive, it should appear as a folder named "PS3" in your computer. Compress that folder and attach it here :)
