Intense race! ! JPzer and Pag and I had a great battle at the beginning. I had a few laps of missing my entry and slowed up. As well I had to run extremely prices to even keep up. Thank god for the draft. I was not intending on a one stop. However i was following JPzer at one point in the race and said I pit when he does. Hopefully don't lose his draft. The speed demon checked out on me. The rest was pretty easy. The. The end. Nycrom was steaming up fast as my tires were shot down 2-3 seconds. Got really really nervous last two laps. Good Lawd was I sweating and all. AWESOME.

As well I do wonder one thing. What about of track ventures. I worked so hard to keep on track. I think only two times did I get off and it was minimal. Seen some serious outings though. ;)

change weather or just standard? could be pretty epic in wet conditions

its everything, 24 hour day to night cycle plus the chance it could rain :D

in the pre season race we had there it started raining with like 5 laps to go, the last lap was soooo scary lol

right bed time for me, talk to you guys over the weekend

HortuIX if u get time could you just confirm the results to me plus the fastest laps
cheers dude

yep, sure. sorry about that.

i've posted the results in an earlier post but the total times, fastest laps, time gaps etc i'll get to you tomorrow afternoon as i've just shut down my ps3 to get some sleep before work tomorrow.

i'll pop them in a pm to you though...

btw, is it ok to put a link to this championship in my sig? my thinking is it may help to get some more interest in the series if people see the link in other threads...

Fuji D1 preliminary results w/ finish times

Watching replay now...at one point OwensRacing caught up to me on the straight, I guess he didn't see me but I sure saw him and he gave me the biggest push ever, felt like a rocket up my a** hehe, fortunately got no damage, just a huge top speed, good thing you can't overrev in GT5 :D

My god these stories are hideous, I definitely did not see you. I even asked at the start if you was in. I only had 9 racers including myself. I don't want to do that again. I seen at indy how two ghost cars collided. One literally went 15 feet straight up. Me and my boys was watching from the review mirror right before the green flag. Very very sorry to those I made contact with. I got the race from my perspective filmed and trying to post on you tube now. Link to follow. Prob tomorrow. It's over an hour long. Hope it loads up. I got the upgrade from you tube for 15min plus video, so we shall see. I think I have another on there that long.

I'm wondering about the same thing...was super careful not to run wide or cut and the 2 or 3 times I overshot I slowed waaay down to try to keep as tight as possible. Some cars were just plowing wide every other lap and using the slingshot to maintain/gain speed :irked:

Little disapointed with todays race.
Having watched the replay I have to say of all cars I was impressed with your driving the most. Very smooth, clean lines, fast and consistent pace. That early pit stop cost you in the end I think but otherwise well done!

I'm really happy with this result. 2 wins in a row is a dream. Congrats to Aderrrm for the awesome win in his MR-S 👍

I really expected to just fight for third with JP in this round so seeing CFalc drop out was rather depressing to see.

When it started out my and Nycrom (he moved up to first and me to second) began to slowly pull away from the pack and we had a nice battle for the first 11 laps or so. He needed a two stop and I went for one since I felt comfortable with the tires.

During the middle of the race I was pretty much by myself with JP and Paginas fighting for 2nd/3rd a handful of seconds behind. Then Nyc came screaming up o nfresh tires and got to within a second behind me which was scary.

We ran into the eventual GT300 traffic and he fell back a bit after that as his tires started to fall off.

After he made his second stop I had earned a comfortable lead and just tried to keep it consistent through the last ten laps to win.

I made some fun passes on the GT300s though. I love being able to confidently race against them knowing they're all really good about keeping on their line and being aware of what's going on around them.

I went on the inside of Aderrrm as he was battling for 1st with someone on turn 3.

Spectacular pass if I do say so myself. With the added benefit of giving Nycrom the duty of cutting through them after me.

My race was fun, I just didn't really get to battle with anyone. After a couple of laps in I was pretty much >10 sec behind Kamy, Aderrrm, and Moleman & I was pretty much >10 sec in front of the Atlas, Maximus, and Scanny. I pretty much raced the entire race by myself. I just mostly focused on not making any big mistakes.

I got to see Moleman for a little bit after his 2nd pit, but he had brand new tires and I lost him very quickly cause he's quick! I also got to compete with Scanny during the last 3 laps, I'm guessing he had a few spin out issues in this race.

Good job on the win there Wardez !

Sucks that c-falcon d/c ... would have been a great figth up there.

First half of the race was a huge 4 way battle with me, monoha, owens, and paginas.

Second half was only me and pag.. and it was some insane racing. I have to review the replay, I hope I kepted it in the limits of the gentlements rules.

I remember at some point at the end of the strech trying to go in the inside, I wanted pag to take the outside (it would have placed me in a better situation to take the corner). But pag stayed in the inside.. wich was smart.. but still, it can look like i was trying to block.. if its the feeling you have pag I am sorry lol.

Overall it was a very nice figth pag !

How can i race in div 1? Had a great fight up until first pitstop but then it was just a long lonesome road ahead. Only 5 cars finished was little sad.

my race was generally disappointing, I had good speed in the race, but the tires of my Lexus did not last like the GTR ... I completely wrong race strategy, I had to stop for my first Pit Stop at 'the eleventh lap, but I preferred to follow Wardez ... big mistake.
The first 10/11 laps were perfect, I enjoyed it, then after my first pit, I tried to put pressure Wardez, some I did, and I think he enjoyed himself, there were many among us GT300, and it was fantastic to push hard.
Then I had a sudden failure of the tires .. I had to stop for an extra pit ... I tried to recover but did not succeed .. Owen was close but not enougth.
Overall the race was fun, dramatic and even when I realized my tires were finished ... :(
A great race for all, congratulations to Wardez, and I'm sorry for the disconnection of Falcon ... not a nice way to celebrate his great first pole position ......

Question about Le Sarthe race:

for the next race at Le Sarthe, have will do the live qualifications or like the pre-season race we will start in relation to the drivers spot in the chanpionship table?
4 laps for the live qualy are a lot of time, and will be same class race, so probably is better make like the pre season race.
:)

well at sarthe next week its same class so surely there'll be a handful of cars in that, and well the week after is mixed at daytona if im correct, to get into d1 then, just get a nice quali time and hope you arent bumped down by others

Div1 just finished. My first thoughts: It is vital that the polesitter knows the start procedure. Honestly, if you're in pole, take a look at the OP to see what's required of you before the start; the rolling start for GT300 was a mess.

Right. Let's get this straight seeing as you're talking about me. The extra lap that gt300's have to do ahead of gt500's, no speed indication is given in the OP so I just took it easy and stuck at around 55 mph (warm up lap speed). I kept a gap of about 10 seconds behind the gt500s when we did eventually got onto the warm up lap. I went round the last corner, waited a few seconds, then put my foot down - the polesitter gives the green flag any time before the start line (as stated in the OP). However, I looked back and you were still at 55 mph. So I kindly waited for you, and you still didn't put your foot down. Your problem mate, not mine.

-snip-

Then after aderrrrm pited we were batling and he had fresher tires, but i was able to keepp in touch with the draft.

To be honest, I wasn't fighting with either mole or you lol. I was taking it easy because of my tires, because I was on a 1 stop. However after mole gave me front right damage on lap 2 or 3 I think it was, I decided to go to a 2 stop so pushed it for a few laps, then decided to go back to a 1 stop :P. The damage only slowed me down by about 0.5mph on the straights so it wasn't that much of a big deal. At least most of it was good, clean between the 3 of us. 👍 And I'm sorry mole if it looked like I squeezed you out down into the back hairpin on one of the starting laps, didn't mean that. :)

I went on the inside of Aderrrm as he was battling for 1st with someone on turn 3.

That was with kamy. I'm suprised I didn't make contact with either of you going into that corner. I saw you didn't get the best of exits out of turn 3. :P Congrats on your win anyway. 👍

Looking forward to Sarthe!

Right i see a few questions....

1. La Sarthe, i think there will be no live qualis as its a very long track and it will take FOREVER.... it will be basied on the championship standings (denlison will confirm). So we stewards get a nice break this week. We can still have some fun practice races during the week tho :D

2. JPzer - i had great fun fighting for 2nd with you, you didnt do anything wrong, very few bumps (thats just racing), i didnt feel that you blocked me at all, i sometimes tried different lines to see what would be best. The last corner i ****ED up i tryed to go out wide and then cut into the apex so i could gain more speed down the striaght, but i ruined it when i went TOO wide and hit the grass lol

3. Well done to wardez and aderrrm the winners, great win guys

4. La Sarthe will be SAME CLASS so there will be no divisions just GT500 in 1 race and GT300 in another :D

G'day there racers. Are you looking for a bit of extra speed from your car? Head on down to Lion's Den Performance (link in sig), where I now have 3 Super GT tunes, the NSX, R35 GT-R and SC430. Please note, the NSX gear ratios are yet to be updated and will be soon. All 3 tunes are found in Lion's Den Performance Racing, which is post #2. Let me know how it goes if you do happen to find yourself behind the wheel of an LDP enhanced race car.

about the la sarthe race with no live qualy will we take out two worst results because if not i will be way back with only 3 races out of 6 with all the problems i have:(

I'll give your tune a run, Paulie. Lord knows I'm only good at minor adjustments so a good base tune to start with would be nice.

I just want to clear this up, because that's not how the start procedure works. We run at 55mph until the grid slots. From there you pick when you want to put your foot down. There is to be no passing and no changing of formation until after the start/finish line. The OP says; "The Pole sitter will decide the Green Flag before the Finish line" - Out of the last corner is way too early. If you floor it then, we have to stay in formation until the start finish line, by which time we'll be doing 140mph. I don't think so.

Maybe the OP needs to be clarified further as to when exactly the polesitter can floor it; if you floor it out of the last corner at Fuji you are still half a mile away from the start finish line.

And I'm sorry mole if it looked like I squeezed you out down into the back hairpin on one of the starting laps, didn't mean that.

Meh, no problem. I haven't raced against you before so I didn't know what to expect in terms of passing moves and defence. I know the other drivers in the series quite well so I know who will attack and who will defend, so I was quite nervous with you behind me as to where I could turn in and whether you'd be trying a move up the inside or not. To be honest I still don't know, but that will come over time; when racing close together it's important to know roughly what the other driver will do. I think it was a bit of a problem racing so closely at Fuji without having raced against you before - the last sector especially has so many different possible lines that often I was worried about crossing over on the apex or something; looking forward to close racing at Le Mans which is all a lot more obvious. 👍

Also sorry if there was some damage, didn't realise that - I noticed one or two times where your car slid to the left as if it had been hit into turn 1, but I was actually (on my screen) about half a car width away from you still. Some lag, maybe? Also my tyres and setup were rubbish, so that's my excuse for being super slow on the apex of a few corners sometimes :P - ...Also I had a minor drama on Lap 8 and 9 when my DS3 decided it wanted to tell me it was running out of battery. So any sort of horizontal driving down the straight on those laps were when I was looking for the USB cable >_>

Also btw Pagi, there isn't a Fastest Lap award for each division; it's just the fastest lap overall. So it looks like Schumi gets the fastest lap in GT500 despite racing in D2, Aderrrm gets the GT300 one.

Alright thanks for clearing that up. I absolutely agree. Sorry about that. However, I hope you can understand that it was difficult for me to judge the pace/green flag with the info given in the OP. Because, according to the OP, I had done nothing wrong (even if the cars behind me would have still been out of position, that would have been for them to sort out). Anyway whatever. :P

So it should be: "we run at 55 mph until everyone is out of the last corner and in their correct grid positions, and then within reasonable distance of the start/finish line, the polesitter will decide the green flag". :)

Yep, absolutely. I'm not the kind of driver that will force a move up the inside, especially when I'm on a 1 stop (although I guess you didn't know that at the time ). After receiving a bit of damage, I was really being careful for the rest of the race - even when them crazy gt500 guys came to lapping us. :P

Yeah the last bit of Fuji does have different lines. I only use 1 line through there now after playing it on Prologue for 2 and a half years. Then again, it depends on what other people do aswell and not only yourself. As you say, Sarthe should be a bit better in that sense. :)👍

In the excitement Pag prob forgot it's one fast lap per class. As mentioned in previous post.

How are off track penalties handled for this track? Not to be a jerk, but I seen some pretty serious detours. I am guilty of two very close buy still of tracks. I know I seen others do plenty more then two. While personally I think this track is know. For some over running. However we have a rule set to abide by and not during so reduces the integrity of the league.

Steward(s), Denilson, Masi???? Please Respond to this situation.

Well I know I definitely did it more than a couple of times and I'm guessing most people did over the course of the 1 hour+ race. You're bound to go off the track more than twice if you're trying to go faster in a race, especially at Fuji where there's 6 obvious places you could run out wide, 4 of them being really tough to avoid.
