.: Drivers Briefing :.

You must follow the car specs and regulations pictured below! Not following specs will result in an immediate disqualification.

Your car must be fully broken in before each race. Not following this rule will result in an immediate disqualification.

You are NOT ALLOWED to go in the settings page between feature & sprint race.

While inside the race lobby, do not use the 'chat' feature while stewards are sending out instructions for pre-race checks. If you have questions, go ask them now! Otherwise, read the op. We will be using a special pre-race qualifying that is listed below - read it! Thank you for your patience!

car specs and regulations (all cars at max downforce for gt300!)
gt500 regs - open pp tuning.

.: Daytona Road | Rolex GT | Specifics :.

qualification rules for Daytona Road will be usual. You have 2 laps to submit your superlap.

Tyre Regulations

  • All qualifying will be run using Racing Hard tyre's
  • In every race ALL cars will can use of 1 set of Racing Medium tyre's. This also applies to the sprint races.
  • The use of the Racing Medium tyre's is optional.
  • During each sprint race, there will be a "Pit Window". This is where all cars must pit.
  • The Pit Window for each sprint race will announced in the race specific thread (here) in the week prior to the race.
  • If you damage your car and wish to pit, you may, however you can still only use 1 set of Racing Medium tyre's per race. you will also still have to pit in the window.
  • Failure to pit during the window in the sprint race or using more than 1 set of Racing Medium tyre's will result in an immediate disqualification.

::::: ROUND 8 SPECIFICS :::::

di-7HWI.jpg
Laps: 31 + 1

Qualification rules for round 8, Daytona Road, will commence as usual. You're allowed 2 flying laps to submit your Superlap.

Green Flag: Polecar will decide where the start is (somewhere before the startline). He must make sure that ALL cars are clear of the last turn before starting (Obviously not an issue at Daytona).
It's totally up to the pole car, as long as ALL cars behind him are on the straight. He can not start the race if the last car is still in the middle of the last turn. Pole car has right side of track for first right turn.

Make sure to stay on track at ALL times with at least 2 wheels touching white line / Red / White curb. You can not use run offs or tarmac of any kind to gain speed. You will be penalized heavily during the race and disqualified for having a dirty lap in qualifying.
Just stay inside the rumble strips and course white (yellow) lines.
Knocking over any number marker plates will void the lap.

Same class race

If you feel insecure of where the track limit is, just join a quali-session during the week and ask a steward to do a slow lap with you.

Pit lane.
Entry: RESPECT the yellow lines to the fullest. Do not EVER cross the yellow pit line with more than 2 wheels. Make sure to study the pit entry lines carefully prior race.
If you're not sure about the lines, join a WSGTC room, and ask a stewrd to show you what's ok, and what's not ok.

Exit: The AI leave you the possibility to enter track before T1, but you need to stay on the inside of the guard rails in T1, and exit after the T1, and the small chicane.
T1 at Daytona Road is defenetly one of the hardest corners in GT5, so we do not need cars exiting the pits added to the mix.
If you're not sure about the lines, join a WSGTC room, and ask a stewrd to show you what's ok, and what's not ok.

General: When entering and exiting pits, the solid lines are ment to be respected.

you must exit the pits as shown above. Do not exit into turn 1, a penalty may follow

oops.. thanks

still not been changed :ouch: lol

And I'm going to have to sit this one out... My parent's need picking up from the airport and their flight gets in at half 8 :banghead: this is annoying as I cant stand monaco and would much rather miss that one... (even though it is a good track for the impreza)

PP for my car should be 525PP, not 524PP as listed.

Pls change in the table so we don't have any issues come qual/race day.

I have to work Saturday night. :(
I still haven't raced SuperGT's at this awesome track.:indiff:

That's a shame dom.

Can everyone who has viewed and understood the pit exit video, please post here, we don't want any pile ups in turn 1

I understand it. Good going!

I say you impose a penalty of 1 lap to whoever avoids it.
Also maybe every steward that qualifies anyone should ask if the driver is aware of it.

Good idea. Make sure every driver is aware when qualifying.
We should penalise 25seconds for taking the wrong pit exit and 1lap for a wrong pit exit that causes another driver too lose time or receive damage.
Sound fair?

Sounds fair to me twisted.People really need to practice using the correct exit because its very easy to run wide and get RF damage.

If you want a laugh stop your car behind the blue wall and hit start, Bob will never give up trying to drive thru the barrier and destroy you car.

Thats too bad Dom. I was not a big fan of this track before because I always struggled to find the right spots to brake. After running a few test sessions I am really starting to enjoy this track.

I love Bob.. He's the best. :dunce:

I meen, it's so obvious that going thru the wall is the best option..

It's a bit like when a mink mother gets scared, she eats her children..
Cause to her, that's the most reasonable action to take.. That's what I call a rational behaviour..

Don't want to offend any animal lovers here. I'm one my self.. But I'm LMFAO when thinking about it..

Add me to the reserves please. I have had no Internet this week but I hope I get some luck tomorrow!

Steward: tony1311
pilot: # GTP_Twist
lap 1: *1:52.276 clean
lap 2: 1:52.836 clean
Best lap: 1:52.276

Had a close call at the exit of bus stop but double checked it and he is undoubtedly clean.

Had my first session after 2 weeks, feeling a bit rusty. Can you tell me where GT500 laptimes are?

Thanks tony. I haven't had chance to check my lap yet. Don't suppose I have to now. Thanks for watching.
The fastest gt500 time I have seen until today was a 1:44.3xx, the fastest gt300 time I have seen is 1:51.7xx

Tony I would say 43-44 range. Cause I can run low 45's and I'm about the slowest.

My qualify was to cautious, slow at turn 1 and slow entrance to the bus stop. A crappy 46.3

Caution can be a good thing too since i followed up your run by sticking my car in the fence, and doing my qualifying on 3 wheels.:dunce:

I won't be on tonight for qualifying. It's my daughters birthday. Good luck everyone.

@stewards. Please make sure everyone is aware of the correct way to exit the pits.
