2011 Brazilian Grand Prix

Rubens has fallen back to 19th. Interlagos really hates him! It's a curse!

Petrov and Kovalainen both had great starts... but given what Hekki is driving, he's losing those places almost as fast as he earned them. DRS active now... Vettel running away from Webber, and Button and Alonso are riding his tail.

Did anyone watching on the BBC loose the picture twice just before the race (with digital breakup) and now that the pictures come back its terribly interlaced and doesn't look like its being filmed in HD?

Yeah. I did. Switched channels and it wasn't us. On normal BBC One by the way. My parents aren't paying extra for HD on Sky.

Field finally shaking out... Button falling back from the RBRs, with Alonso and Hamilton stacked up behind him. Alonso is definitely going to attack soon.

Kovalainen losees that last place gained on the start. Back down in 19th. Again. Damn car. :grumpy:

Ooh... Senna loses a front wing as Schumacher tries to overtake him... and Schumacher gets a puncture. Rather optimistic overtaking maneuver there by Michael... and the stewards start the investigation right away. Replay shows Michael moving in towards the apex while Bruno is still there. Tried to close the door on him...

Alonso, on the other hand, takes Button, makes it look easy.

Actually, mostly Michael's fault. He closed the door on Senna, trying to squeeze him out. Schumacher had to leave him room at the apex there, and he didn't. Then he squeezed him some more, and that gave Michael that puncture.

Doubt they'll give a penalty for that, since the first collision was bang down the middle of the track, but they just might.

At some point in the next few laps, Button may have to pull aside for Hamilton, or McLaren will have to get creative with their pits. Button is clearly holding him up and Alonso is getting away from the both of them.

WHAT DO I WATCH?

I have the same dilemma only with an extra game added into the mix. I'm a Liverpool fan, and a Bayern Munich fan. And Bayern is also playing their game right now.

Vettel's gearbox issue is apparently an overheating issue.

-

Am I psychic? McLaren brings Button in, gives Hamilton clear air for a lap or two to get past him.

-

From short-shifting in just second, now Vettel has to short-shift in second and third. Not a good sign.

Button passes Hamilton before he comes out of the pits, but comes out behind Alonso. Hamilton should have stayed out a few more laps to pass Button! Ugh.

I guess this race might get more interesting if Vettel's gearbox goes away.

Although Senna won a GP at Interlagos with half the gearbox gone.

Oh.. it is getting worse... 2nd and 3rd gear now for Vettel.

Oops. Drive-through for Bruno Senna for that collision. Weird. Schumacher was the one who instigated the first collision, whatever collision followed. Truth be told, Senna should have backed out in that corner, but he didn't seem to do anything seriously dangerous.

-

What's with RBR and McLaren? Webber could have passed Vettel in the pits, but they bring him in on the very next lap (same as with Button-Hamilton)... nobody wants to play favorites today?

So... status quo now. That wasn't so meek from Massa... he was really trying, but he didn't have the tires to challenge for that corner.

Glock loses a wheel. Ouch.

Vettel setting a fastest lap in response to Webber setting a fastest lap.

That will definitely bring a fine for that incident.

Oh.. potentiometer on the gearbox possibly malfunctioning. Red Bull must be using the ones that Fanatec uses.
