Switched from Engine Stage 3 to using High RPM Turbo, adjusted the Power Limiter and re-did my gears roughly. After 5 laps I improved from 1m58.074s to 1m57.908 currently 96th in the world. DS3 with @GT_Rajman tune generously shared earlier.

Download the replay of GT_Rajman from the World Rankings screen. Watch it a few times, in the same view you drive. Turn on all the information you use when driving. Try to do the same thing but enter every corner slower. You won't beat his time but you will beat your own! Look for each braking marker and turning marker and memorise them for your own lap.

Braking early and turning early are essential on this track. The road has a 'crown' like public roads. Move to the inside early (and stay there longer) to get a banked corner effect for as long as possible.

The most extreme example is the tight left hairpin near the bottom of the mountain. You must enter this near the inside wall, follow it around and only accelerate when it opens out. The wall is not circular but the gradient will not carry the car in a circular route anyway. If you get the camber, contour and very late throttle correct you can gain much time.

Another key point is the max speed right and final chicane. Turn early and there is more grip, so you will be able to keep right. Now you can brake a bit later. You won't be steering right so much to hold the line. Slow right down for the left entry to the chicane. Don't use all the track in the middle. Then optimise the right exit - you can cut the dirt with the inside tyres because outside tyres are doing most of the work. This gives you a more open line and a stronger banking effect. The difference in grip also helps rotate the car, because the outside tyres are pushing the car around the turn.

The top laps are full of little tricks like this. Perform them perfectly and you get those times. But so long as you avoid penalty and get these tricks half right, your time can improve massively.

Well that's it for me. Just tried again. After a couple frustrating tries managed to advance from bronze to silver with a time of 2:10.675.
Not bothering with these time trials again. Too much anxiety with nullified laps for the slightest touch of grass or wall. Need wider roads. Bring on the regular races.

I gotta say this is hair pulling frustrating  offline i can consistently do 2:05 area, get online and I got lucky with a mid 2:07,touch the wall, grass, whiteline and its invalid lap.... :yuck: bwahhhahaaa
maybe I`m insane but offline the track is warmer and stickier, online and its late in the day the track is cold and if you get off the sweet spot and its slick, kinda like a real track late in the day????
but the tunes here helped me TT myself with different cars offline and vastly improved my skills. KUDOs! 👍

Yep. The track is mostly cold with this some seasonals. 8 degree I tought.

How can the 'aliens'' make a 1:55 lap? They have a great tune that they dont give to anyone? I'm going to do a mid. 1:57 lap (I hope) What's The secret?

The tuning skills are the trick? (ofcourse the drive skills are helps to) Are they have a secret tune forum on the pentagon?:lol:. Maybe time for stock TT's?
So every car the same and go...

I dont know lol. Amazing drivers.
My thoughts exactly lol! It's like the makers of these TTs,carefully design them for a odd car you may not even think of at first. Then it's like all these "aliens", automatically know the odd ball car and the perfect settings!lol.I think the developers may be in on it.I have a 1:57.7 something as of yesterday, mostly with Hansdamph's setup.Faster is possible, but it just has to happen I guess.

new timwe 1.56.961

I do not know if you see ghosts driving behind that stick to the sides of the circuit and does not penalize them, it is frustrating to see these failures events
Yep.The #1 guy hits the wall 2 times.

I found it to be a great tune, just be aware that it will only work for one lap.

My first clean lap with this tune was .75 second quicker than my previous best, now I can't even catch up with my ghost.........
Hey what do you mean only one lap?I've been wondering,do the cars run a little faster, after you ran a few laps?I've been just restarting if I know I can beat my best time.

@SonicGT Use the +quote feature if you wish to quote from more than one person at a time. Please don't multi-post.
Thanks.

Well.....1:57.951.:nervous:

There is more in it. Still making to much mistakes.

Great time, 👍. Right on your tail with a 1:57,976.:lol:

Entered the last long straight (Conrod) after the mountain with 0.4 sec ahead of personal best.:nervous:
Only to mess up the last chicane.:banghead:

Need more practice.....

Yes but he didn't hit it that hard and there's no advantage in it, it was just lucky to not invalid his lap.
I hit the wall as well and must say it was very lucky lap because i haven't able to beat my lap for 2 days and that wall hit cost me a 55.4

The wall is a little forgiving in this one. But slide into it any more than a tap and your lap is red. I had a dozen laps that would crush my best time and tried to get to much in the last few turns. lol

wow I don`t see how you "ALIENS" do it,offline I get a 2"03 if lucky and a 2:05 consistently,so does that mean offline some of you could easily get a 1:55....

Well, For me help a lot of practice. It's not easy to get under the 2.00. but with training and practice it must be possible.
Learn the track and the car and go for it.

yep been trying it off and on,the rear spins a lot...but yea working on my lines and trying to hit them every lap.
You can also try Hansdamph's tune. That is what I use mostly.Accept I use my own Transmission tune.I haven't tried GT Rajman's tune yet.But I will.I currently have a 1:57.2.Just make sure you have the High rpm turbo, then power limit it to 623hp.No oil change,Unless there is a trick to the oil change.lol.

Wall hits used to mean restart the lap to most people unless they have no morals... where's the racing from days gone by when wall hits were shunned upon and not an excuse to find reasons as to why they lost a couple of tenths? :dopey:

Only clean fast laps impress me and I know the guys at the top are more than capable of doing them clean! they are just getting lazy it seems and the end result is not as stunning to view imo 👎

Just an opinion take it as you like :) 👍

It's depends on whether GT6 is meant to reflect real world, as I'm sure that the walls get a glancing blow regularly at Bathurst in real races - it's certainly a regular occurrence at Monaco during the Grand Prix!

I definitely don't agree with people bouncing off them deliberately at high speed to gain an advantage though, fortunately the game penalises them for that.
