Wayne Taylor is going to be fielding 2 corvette dp entries for the entire season minus the Rolex 24.
Actually, 🤬 it, just watch the whole season after December.

According to this article they will be in the car with him:tup:
Any new news on car counts for the Rolex 24? I've done a little digging, and I think Matt Connolly is trying to get at least 1 DP on the grid. I'm pretty sure it's a gen 2 Chevrolet/Riley. Napleton racing is putting a Cayman in the GX class. I'm pretty sure that's the Pirelli World Challenge team.
MrMelancholy15This 24 will likely be better than last year's, but, if they somehow make the trip back to CGV, that will be the race to watch. Or the race in Birmingham, Alabama. And Sebring, in 2014. And Watkins Glen.

Sam48Now that it's getting quite late in the going, I'm starting to wonder two things:
a) Has BMW styled their own DP like Corvette? Or is that rumor long gone?
b) Where's Lotus? (Actually that's not really a questions, rather, it's more a phrase associated with anything Lotus does in motorsports)
BTE Autosport has purchased a Ford/Riley car possibly for the Rolex 24. TRG could have an Aston Martin DP as early as 30 days from now according to GA Unleashed. Dr. Jim Lowe/Doran Racing might be another Aston Martin DP. The Alegra Motorsports/50+/Highway to Help Daytona Prototype has been upgraded to a gen 3 now. In GX news, the McMahon Autosport Lotus Evora has cleared customs in America and is on its way to Houston. A great week for Grand-Am.![]()
Aston DP?! Where?!![]()
I listened to Grand Am Unleashed's last episode. They interviewed Kevin Buckler from TRG. He said that he will have a full season Aston Martin in Rolex GT after the Rolex 24 where he will have 5 Porsche's. He also was in some very successful talks with Grand Am about getting the Aston Martin engine in a Daytona Prototype. Kevin Buckler said, "If everything goes according to schedule, the Aston Martin Daytona Prototypes will be available in about 30 days." Dr. Jim Lowe was also working with an "undisclosed British engine manufacturer" for a Daytona Prototype engine.
In other words, it will most likely be an Aston Martin engine in the body of a Riley? Great news nonetheless.

OH PLEASE DON'T BE LOTUS.
Please.
Aston Martin sounds fine.

Is there any record of Krohn purchasing a DP3? Because I believe that GA have now officially announced that all teams running a DP must run a DP3. No more grandfathering the DP2 over. So if they bought one, that would be a sign they'll be there.
More GX news: Two SpeedSource Mazdaspeed 6's. One is driven by Jonathan Bomarito, Marino Franchitti, James Hinchcliffe, and Sylvain Trembley. A third Mazdaspeed 6 is being run by Freedom Autosport who runs Mazda in the ST class in the CTSCC.
JustinGlad to see some more GX cars, the car count still seems dangerously lean though.

Ninja update: APR will probably run 2 R8s in the 24 this year![]()
There WILL be more Daytona Prototype entries than last year. Ithink there will be just as many GT cars as last year if we add the GX total by the time the last entry pays his entry fee.
A bit off topic in regards to next years Rolex 24 at Daytona, but it's been confirmed, for the most part, that Daytona, Watkins Glen, and Indy will be on the ALMS/Grand Am merger schedule in 2014. (Which is great news for myself given that I live a few miles away from the Glen)
JustinSorry, I should have been more clear, I was talking about the GX class only, the rest of the field is healthy.👍

Not much of a shocker as They would surely want to keep their Endurance Championship races in tact, add Sebring, Laguna Seca, Road America and Road Atlanta and you have one amazingly good schedule.
The #61's new look is coming to life!

MrMelancholy15Any word on those Speedsource Mazdas; car numbers, liveries?
Anything to tell me if the legendary seventy is coming back?
And, just to check, Spirit of Daytona is still in, right?
