Anybody out there following the Grand Am?

I hope they do, Honda desperately needs to go back to its roots to gain back some of the many fans they've lost the past decade.

I'm hoping they don't try to put the nsx in the GX class. It will burn out there. A proper gt effort with a DP engine would be ideal.

Wait they were going to be at COTA and now won't be. I'm curious what they are waiting on since it seemed they had one built? How long does it take.

They announced that they were announcing their liveries Feb. 28th. Has anyone even seen their liveries? I think they've got no problems, I think they're just relaxing, planning to win in 2014, following the expansion the series. I can hardly imagine anyone wanting to win 2013, and rushing car development now.

Why build a car to win in 2013, when a new set of rules is coming in 2014?

Any internet live streams of the race? I'm stuck in a studio all day.

If you are interested, there will be a re-air of it later on (10:00 PM my time)

Tell you what... I'm very interested to see what Grand-Am will be like rocking the Circuit of the Americas. We've seen the fabulous F1 race last year at COTA, but this will be sportscars taking on the central Texas track. I wish all teams and drivers the best of luck today.

And people complain about F1 stewarding? :yuck:

A 60-second stop and go for every infraction is ridiculous, but that penalty on the #63 Ferrari was highway robbery. 👎

That was a good race, COTA is overrated in my opinion but the racing was really good, glad to see the 99 win. All penalties were fair, even if the 63's was a bit excessive.. Good racing overall though!

That was an exciting finish in the DP series. Gurney did a great job of holding on to that lead.

Yeah... What a weird change. Last few seasons, the stewards were barely involved.

Now, they're involved for every stupid little mistake.

It was an excellent DP race. I'm so glad the 99 won. They didn't win at all last year. I was pulling for Starworks though.

I attended the race in Austin & it was great. Paddock walk cool, couldn't believe we could get so close to the cars. Crews & drivers were first class. This was my firsr Grand Am to attend. I am SOLD!

The 10 and the 63 got royally screwed.

Great race, though, even if I accidentally spoiled myself on the DP winner (caught the rerun at 11:00, but accidentally clicked the thread). Was interesting to see how the 01 was going to lose it. I laughed, to be honest.
