Of course, you can talk about the results inside the thread!

^That rule you're referencing is about not posting about the race in threads not related to the race. Plus we were all talking about it as the race happened, so it's certainly alright to talk about it now.

Okay. Let met start with:

"🤬 🤬 🤬 the 🤬 was Juan Pablo Montoya thinking?" :yuck::indiff::crazy::ouch::scared:
👎:nervous::indiff::ill::guilty: :yuck: :grumpy::guilty::indiff:

:ill:

Does anyone know what he was trying to do? Can anyone comprehend the lack of reasoning?

Excessive smilies not necessary, dude.

Both incidents involved equally aggressive drivers. Incident #1: Barbosa takes a wide entry in one corner and turns into Montoya whos already on the inside and he goes around (ironic he's mad considering he's made some aggressive moves this year himself, ask his teammates on the other car). Incident #2: Dalziel Basically forces Montoya into the grass and foolishly forgot this is Montoya, not some other racer. He spins out as well (funny that no one Mentions Montoya also spun). Basically, Two aggreessive drivers got themselves spun by a guy who people find far more easier to blame because he's a bigger name and has been known for his aggressive driving since F1.

Am I the only one that got tired of them constantly comparing it to the Indy 500?

The commentators or the drivers? I did find the comparison abit unnecessary.

Edit: And now on the NASCAR Nationwide Broadcast, ESPN is doing it :grumpy:

I only saw the last maybe 30 mins of the race. right before the Montoya incident so I dont really remember the Indy references but another thing.
I know it rained but wow does that Indy road course look DREARY!!!
They need some fresh paint on the curbing and actual curbs!!

I thinks thats very poor of a track. There where bascially no curbs and just painted lines lol.

Typical Ganassi drivers.

Its a shame that woman was standing where she wasn't supposed to be standing.. :rolleyes: No sympathy for stupidity. Can't blame the crew or drivers, they have to be quick, can't risk time with stupid people like her..

+1

Still not as bad as Montoya, but, hey, to each their own way of hurting people. :sly:
Eh, I'm neutral on the Montoya situation. With the bad camera angles, I can't really tell who is at fault in the huge cluster 🤬 of a situation.

I know it was a joke.

I have to agree with Mac here, what tha hell was she doing standing there? It's because of stupid people like her that this kind of events get banned and acccess more and more restricted! People may think pit lane is a safe enviroment but it's far from it!
I'd imagine now she's trying to sue the living crap out of everyone involved with that race because she got pushed away, when in reality she was the one on the wrong and no one pushed her!

Jav
and no one pushed her!

I think it's not refutable, that she was pushed by someone. Of course, I agree with you, but I don't understand why you're implying that no one pushed her. It seems, to me, like she did get pushed, clearly.

I doubt she would sue. That would be a little extreme.

It is America. I don't really want to express any personal biases, BUT, America does have a record of people suing for poor, negligible reasons, and winning. So does Britain; like the people who sued Brands Hatch for being loud, after knowingly moving next door to a race track. 💡 that's a bad idea, but, they did it, and they won the case. :yuck:

Let me try to explain that better: From what the Cameras were Showing of the incident, Montoya was on the outside in the corner in Turn 1 and actually had the position going in. I say Ryan was trying to force a pass he couldn't complete because he already had Montoya basically two tires in the grass being so close and he basically screwed himself turning into him. Yes Montoya is agreesive, but that incident wasn't all him.

The incident with Barbosa wasn't even Montoya's fault, He took a wide entry and turned into Montoya. As for Roja's move on the Camaro, yes that was stupid. Plenty of time left in the race to catch up and he does that. Also, you didn't seem to count the incident with Bergmeister and the 59, which also had no penalty.

I absolutely agree with you. JPM had the outside line in turn 1, which became the inside line for turn 2. Why should Montoya back off? Dalziel turned into the corner when he had somebody alongside him – and he paid the price.

Others blaming JPM for everything is a smokescreen for drivers who don’t know when to back down. When two drivers collide, it isn’t always the driver passing who is at fault. This seems to be a given, but that driver unnecessarily chopping can often more be at fault.

The other guy in the picture bumped her out of the way while trying to get out of the way himself, not the crew.

I doubt she would sue. That would be a little extreme.

I she went to the hospital to get any type of treatment or checkout more than likely her insurance won't cover the expences because of the circumstances so if she doesn't have money to pay for that she's gonna be pushed by the hospital to sue. Gotta love the heath care business (system) on this country!
