We are about to start the Christmas sales season. GT Sport will be a staple of bundles and deals in the UK and Europe. With Sony shipping over 9m consoles in Q4 it's to be expected GT Sport will generate another couple of million sales from bundles alone.

GT Sport's UK sales are over 3x greater than FM7. Last week FM7 had a 50% boost with One X launch (12K vs 10K).

GT Sport is approximately 140K in the U.K. I don't have U.K. lifetime sales, but Week One Forza 7 sold 29K and PCars 2 (all formats) 14K. Also factor U.K. digital sales are between 30% to 45% for AAA titles as reported by Gamesindustry.biz. GT and FM will always truck on but I'd have real concerns about whether we'll see a Pcars 3.

The coming weeks will see the Black Friday and bundling season kick in. This will generate 10k-20k sales per week for GT Sport until the new year (including regular retail sales). It's been a major factor in Horizon 3 being a constant in the UK top 20 for a whole year.

GT Sport has different sales expectations to the competition. A well received entry is capable of hitting 10m. GT Sport won't do that, but over 5m is a certainty given the size of the PS4 market, and emerging markets like Eastern Europe and Asia. It's also interesting to see titles that had slow starts, like Rainbow Six, gather momentum. It's unlikely GT Sport will see such dramatic boosts, but a consistent flow of quality DLC and features, could well see growth above and beyond the usual tail for AAA titles.

Yet PC sales have nothing to do with those charts, those are retail. So all of those sales are on xbox's.

F7 and especially FH3 are really giving me an itch to upgrade to an scorpio.

I already did and the games look gorgeous on a 4K HDR TV. But the multiplayer is still horrible that's why I still spend my time on GTS. Nothing beats racing humans. I had such a great race on Bathurst yesterday. Racing against the KI feels so boring now.

You mean the hoppers? Are you kidding me? Never survived first turn in bathurst. Actually my last multiplayer game in Forza was on this track. Never again. No qualifying, no penalty system and you want me to race multiplayer in Forza?
But sure if you are lucky enough to have so many friends that you can organize a race anytime you want, you can have multiplayer fun with any racing game. But most of us can't.

In the UK there is now a significant sales disparity between PS4 and XB0 hardware and software. A £450 One X will be front loaded, it's the cheaper PS4 Slim and One S bundles that move the vast majority of hardware. Of course, the UK is Microsoft's second largest market, but it's the 100+ other markets around the world that contribute the vast majority of PS4 hardware and software sales. To give an idea Sony will ship over 18m PS4's this financial year. Microsoft will ship under 8m.

Well, I think it’s worth to note that GT always had a bigger audience in Europe than in North America. FM7 is 10th, only one spot above GTS. And there, it is doing better than in NA, which isn’t that interested in racing games anymore.

Well it's hardly surprising, considering it's their home market. I have both games and Forza 7 has clearly 'Made in USA' on it. I still try to play Forza to earn some credits for my car collection ,but my main focus is on the GTS Championships. What does all the quality and rich content help, when it's so boring to race against the AI?

Yeah over 5 years. GT5 only launched with 700k on November (bigger spending month than October) and fell off the charts shortly after. People forget that GT makes most of its sells not right off the bat. Not to mention F7 had over a week more time to sell in October and the racing genre as a whole has plummeted to almost as low as platformers.

Come on now you know I was just making a comparison. Also one platformer doing well doesn’t mean the genre is popular or doing well. Outside MARIO and Sonic there aren’t any consistent platformers out there and even Sonic doesn’t do well(Mania is under 1M). Now tell me again how the racing genre is doing well? We have WAY less racing games than even 10 years ago and the ones that do release sell poorly except for GT and Forza. Heck Forza doesn’t even do that well either outside of Horizon 3.

Forza lost sales since becoming a yearly release not due to some imaginary downfall of racing genre. Forza is doing quite well actually given the pathetic user base of the xbox1 in Europe and in general.

Sure I respect that but it seems to me that there is so much negativity found here toward a new released game that I am thinking that if there is something wrong with me that i actually enjoy it.

Forza has already passed GT on content since a few years. I don't think that having lots of second rate Standard cars still count has being the king of content. It's a war PD can't win.
It was time to move on, but GTS needs more tracks I agree on that.

Id say they barely passed it with Forza 6/7, GT6 has more tracks than Forza7. All Gt6 needed was a re release on PS4. They passed it do to PDs ineptitude and KAz's incompetence.

No it wasn't time to move on, they just got their ass handed to them and ran away from creating a proper GT and beating their rivals by crafting a better game.

I'm not triggered in the least, I just have absolutely no respect for trolls. I do think that maybe you should look up constructive in the dictionary, I don't think it means what you think it means.
