Again, if I don't want to. I don't have to. Maybe I have no point. Maybe I have a better point. Maybe you'll never know now.
That was interesting.

On the losing end of an argument? Claim unfair bias and casual disinterest towards the topic being discussed!Nope, because it's quite apparent that we are in the Forza section of this thread.
So is the GT series dead?
Only if you want it to be![]()
I dont want it to be. But can GT recover? That has me wondering. Forza seems to be the new racing king and so many jumped ship. I'm reluctant to because the series is pretty much part of my childhood.![]()

It's like a bunch of Ford guys, Chevy guys, and Mopar guys, standing with thier cars in a parking lot, all arguing who's cars are the best. Doesn't matter if one of the groups cars all suddenly decide to explode all at the same time. The hardcore guys of any group will still insist they're driving the best.![]()
Plus that's a demo.....
We could go over problems with GT5P?
But then again that was a demo released as a full game, instead of well, you know a demo.

The difference?
GT5P wasn't even beta code of the final game.
FM4 demo is final code with cut down content.
Because problems are being brought up like they are set in stone.
The game is not even out yet, there is time for last minute patches.
Patches and changes take a lot more time and effort than you think they do.
If the demo was available 1-2 months before release? Maybe but the demo was released 10 days prior to release. The time to fix the problem itself and other issues that have popped up (the super glare cars for example) plus the time it would take for certification.
I doubt we will be seeing any sort of update until at least a month after release and that's if T10 even decide to fix it.

The demo was the E3 code, with some additional cars and rivals mode. I doubt that we will see big changes in comparison to the final game, but we will know next week.
It wont definetly be any different in the graphics department.
There's hope for a day 1 patch. Forza 3 had a day 1 patch, so maybe Forza 4 will too.
FyreandIceIt did? The gear shift animations were part of the first patch and as far as I can remember it was a couple weeks after launch.
Here are my smoke and snow filled shots. I did ZERO editing to mask any pixels. The screwed up alpha blending is constantly a hassle in any rain/snow/dirty/smoke-filled shot.
Well, you did catch me there. I don't watch replays and I use the "bumper cam" so I don't sit and stare at all the dust/ snow/ etc... coming off my car. But just for the sake of this discussion, I will take a closer look at different car angles and watch some replays after work. Cause if I am so wrong, I would like to be corrected. BTW, you did quote me in saying there is pixelation when photographing so I am not sure why you don't think I believe that.his is true when you are actually driving. It is true when you are watching a replay. And it is true when you actually stop to take a photo. You either cherry pick angles to take photos until you find one where alpha blending doesn't even come in contact with an edge of a car (or is very, very thin), or you post-process the image until the jaggies go away. There is no third option.
You can, of course, alyways select an angle at which the smoke or snow won't cause the car to appear pixelated. Here are my smoke and snow filled shots. I did ZERO editing to mask any pixels.
