I like how people say pc sims are GOD (they are), yet they give no quantitive reason why. Keep PC sims out of this argument if your going to rant it on like a stereo type. PD hire people who have a specialty in vehicle dynamics, not just any homebrew developer. I cant see how their tire models differs from the one in a PC sim. Also the forza pics that were posted with the gallardo are not valid. Different times of day = different points of luminosity.

I said this on forums before that wouldn't it be smart for PD to hire some ex-pro racers, actual racers with merits. Or get former/present F1 engineers and aero specialist to sample the physics and car handling. Not have them build a car that may very likely never see more than a virtual road? I think PD should also try to hire some guys from the PC gaming world, yet console isn't PC and probably will never be so that might not help to hire those type all that much. However, I think PC sim guys could somewhat help the dynamics of console racers like GT. Also actual test drivers that support PD like how iRacing has nascar, izod, and lms guys that support their product and help them improve on it. That kind of thing is what would cause people to stop saying GT doesn't feel realistic.

My first paintjob in Forza 4! I'm so in love with this game! ;P

Because they are way more realistic....?

There are some awesome livery artists in the community. I usually grab a new one and it gives a car a new fresh feeling, hell I even watch the replays to see my "new" whip in action. The community features in this franchise gives this game so much life and longevity.

So if I post a picture of the changing tyre pressure options in FM4 does that make it a better sim than GT5? No one denies at its best that GT5 looks better than any other game on console. However, this thread is debating one complete game against another complete game. And for my money as a complete game FM4, and even FM3 for that matter, wins hands down.

After watching a V8 Supercar just drive around Hockenheim at sunset or sunrise w/e it is, I can't say GT 5 has such a "huge advantage"

I already posted it and mods deleted it :/

They couldn't handle the epicness :P They probably thought it was real footage and not GT5 lol

The damage physics are awesome too.

Is that really Forza 4? It looks more like 3.

Even has the old logo.

It's PD's lighting engine. it just can't be touched.

T10 made a big deal about IBL, but apart from autovista, It makes little difference.

Scary poster is, scary.

is it me or does FM3 look better then FM4?

It's just you, by a long shot.

This for me sums it up GT5 does look better overall, what i do like about forza over GT5 are the car sounds, custom paint jobs, details of car modding but the for me GT5 does everything else better

Those pics summed up as to why FM4 looks better overall.

Please tell me you are not talking to me.

Did i stroke a nerve ? If it the hat fits you....
On the Neogaf thread you've already showed your true colours, but that's ok because that thread has that purpose of "measuring egos", this one has a purpose to debate, with people who've played both games, and have them....
Not using youtube videos to make judgements....
Your attitude of complaining about the Bias of the Gametrailers video, using false arguments tells it all....
You may continue with the "carefully selected" gifs ....

Comparison photos are easy to do. Its just particularly with GT5 the quality of the photo can wildly vary:

I may have to play around on both games later and try to get some fair comparison shots from both.

Mildashers, but it's because of that, that using small gifs, with selected and controlled situations to bring the best of GT5, isn't right, because the comparision should be as a whole and not only with the thing that suits our purposes...
I can use auto-vista models, to compare with premiums ... is it fair ? I think not...
Because that is only a part of the game, no the complete package...

That's the honest approach...
Play both games, compare them and using both pros and cons in the scale...

Using small gifs, photomode pics, autovista models, selected youtube videos, to me has only one purpose....👎

Absolutely. I see hilarious ones with low quality off screen video of FM4 compared with HD capture card footage of GT, had me lolling!

The 2 pics I posted were very deliberate. I see people posting bad FM shots and nice GT shots so I deliberately chose a dodgy GT one and a reasonable FM one (I say reasonable cos I suck at photomode).

Another note the GT shot is not taken by me.

Does anyone else thimk they overdid the glare in fm4? Look at how the yokohama tyre bridge looks so shiny. I think the car dashboards have this going on too and makes surfaces look plasticy.

tonderai, the dashboards have one problem, too dark! Adjust it in the brightness and voila!
The tracks always have this shiny look ! and it's more intense with the sun variations!

That is not the only thing that bugs you, according to your recent posts....

The one with the crash bug was just a joke. I thought people would understand that it was just a one-off bug :/ I forget how defensive fanboys can be. Sorry.

I guess you missed my post in the GT5 section where I praised F4's rollover physics.

Ignore the noise, as it was added with GIMP afterwards. Same with the text, resizing and border. Still, the image itself is straight out of FM4:

Looking at some of my older GT5 shots, it'd be hard to tell which game is which. It's all a matter of using the right settings with the ingame camera, really. Oh, and FM4 seems to like overcast skies, too.

If you want complex light and shadows, go to Maple Valley Raceway. It's not easy to get a perfect picture there, but there, everything is at your fingertips, when it comes to light and shadows.

Astro racer, you are not fooling anyone! Even the comments show your intentions....
Do you even have the Game ?
New York, was a good place to take photos, not a good track to drive....
Positano on the other hand, will be missed the full circuit !
Luminis, still not on the premium level of GT5, but what riles me the most, It's the poor choices made by GT5 of premium car selection....
Forza isn't perfect, the car models have some "errors", but the selection tries to please everyone, with the different cars and tastes....
GT5 caters specially the japanese... which is no surprise because Sony has also that mentality....

Give PD some time 👍. All we have to do is wait .. Until then i'll be playing forza until they release the dlc . But i'll still be playing both. But Forza for doing things socially and consuming most of my time :sly:.
