The point is that some folks in here like to pretend that that picture above was not part of GT5. They look at the gif you posted earlier and, much like you seemed to do, call it quits.
The picture above, though, is very much a part of GT5. It's not only a part of it, it's what the majority of it looks like.
You claim that the folks defending Forza in here don't want to hear anything good about GT5, but at the same time, you've been acting as if GT5 consists of nothing but premiums and all tracks looked as good as Spa. Which isn't the case.
Sure, looking at the standard might not be 'fair', in your opinion. Looking at the Gametrailers video, they picked one of the best looking standard cars there is. One out of, what, five cars? If they went by the numbers, they would've put five standard cars and a single premium car.
You can call people biased all you want. It is, in my opinion, pretty laughable to do so when you only seem to acknowledge standard cars when you're making spiteful comments. I mean, what's the big deal? GT5 is full of inconsistencies like that and no amount of gifs of Spa is going to change that. That, right there, is waht people have been saying for a while now, in here:
When at its best, GT5 is unmatched. You have to limit yourself to a pretty small portion of the content to even have a chance to expierence it at its best - and even then, it's not guaranteed. So, I don't get why you get upset when someone tells you exactly that. That you're focusing on GT5 at its best. Not what it is like on average.
And that, from my experience, is a track thaat looks decent, not overwhelmingly good, but decent, a good looking premium car you're driving yourself and a mixture of standards and premiums on the track, when there's the shadows, tearing, pixelation and framerate drops, too.
Forza, on the other hand, does match neither GT5's premium cars nor the 'premium' tracks, nor the lighting in best conditions. It does, however, not go as low as the standard cars. You won't find something of a quality this low in FM4, and neither will you notice issues like the dropped frame rates, the flicckering shadows or screen tearing. Only focusing on the best aspects of GT5 completely circumvents all of this.
And that is the point that has been brought up here. If GT5 was always like what you'ree seemingly implying, I guess most of us wouldn't be bothering with Forza. However, it doesn't. It doesn't do that, at all. So, don't be surpised to be called out on that.
