Gran Turismo 5 Release Date?

That pic above is from a Gran Turismo Vision video done in 2006, I believe. As for the pre-order, it will be interesting to see if that lasts. I don't think Play-Asia is any more guilty of creating info from thin air than GameStop, basing it on some sort of info feed from the companies in question. If this doesn't get pulled, you definitely have my attention.
 
Thats Circuit de la Sarthe. The stands on the left and pits on the right give it away. Where else would you see a LMP?

However, an LMP could be seen at Silverstone, which also has stands on the left and pits on the right, or many other circuits, such as Bahrain - besides, why would it be so infeasible for them to take screenshots of an LMP around Eiger or something? Theyve done that kind of thing before.
But because Le Mans has featured before and the pic is just the HD-version of GT4 its mostly likely to be Le Mans.
 
I think PD are on "secret mode", so they not want any rivals, to recognise, PD ideas for GT5, in the short term.

Also I believe that PD want to GT5 to show what PS3 be capable of achieving, like what they done in their previous games, for PS1 and PS2.

Remember, it is likely that a game, which the produces takes more time on that game to be better, than the opposite, PD are always like that on their games and if they make a game for PS4, it will be even longer to wait for the game to be released. :indiff:

No i think not, cant remember this scene, but ive seen that Audi R8R on GTHD screenshots, but what makes me curious is, that ive never seen such a crowd on the tribune in any GTHD screenshot.....

Hmmmm..I can't help but get butterflies in my stomach reading bout this..could it really be...I think because of the way PD has been ignoring us(no news etc) we're gonna be very pesimistic about this 'rumour'.............but deep down inside we're really hopeful about it.....please god....please god....please god:)
 
I don't believe a word of these Summer release dates (as much as I would love to!). I think one retailer has just made up a date and the others seem to be copying :P

March next year would mark the five year anniversary, roughly, of GT4's release, and be sort of in line with the Gran Turismo release curve. However, if nothing is showing by E3, then it's holiday 2010 for us. Hopefully.

I wonder if Jordan knows anything... ;)
 
The dates stores put up are usually just placeholders that are months away for the convenience of being changed on the fly, so I wouldn't trust any of them.
 
^^^ Wow it's been awhile since I've seen that video. If the full GT5 is anything like that, that'll be sweet. I know the graphics are at that point, but the atmosphere with the pit stops and the pit guys on the wall just made it seem so much more real, and that would be awesome. Hopefully that is what PD is shooting for as a target.

I don't think the SCEA really cares for Jordan. I think they were a little "hurt" to find out his site was more popular among GT fans than their's. Jordan explained in a post a while back, but I can't find it. 💡
 
bit obvious that if they want to keep gt5's release a surprise that it would not be on that list. All that list we already knew was coming out this year anyway.
 
Ok sony dont talk about GT5, but they gonna release in 2009 just this 6 games?

The press release didn't seem to indicate whether the following list is in chronological order of release, but whatever the case, these games are planned to roll out this year:

Heavy Rain
God of War III
MLB 09 The Show
 
They used to Have mag on games website with a release date for march. But I just looked again. and there is no date for MAG any more. or heavy rain or Uncharted 2. and these game where all listed on there a wile back now they arnt. So Sony must have put them right back. Maybe Sony are helping out PD to get GT5 out faster.
