Brazil out?

What about those below DR A???
as someone who saw they can enter GT2 (i was A until yesterday), and did a fist pump... anyone that is not DR A right now will be happy they're avoiding GT1. i recognize that anyone locally in GT1 will get more points than me, but i would rather finish second in my city and not need a shower after every race.

i'm not being mean or unfair, and i agree that the winners of GT2/3 should get something... but the level of GT1 is just so high. i suspect there are a lot of GTS vets with A/A+ who only really compete in these events, so its important to take DR with a grain of salt.

It's the same as the rest of the Sport Mode League structure.

DR A and above goes into GT1, DR B goes into GT2, DR C and below goes into GT3. You can only score good points in GT1 and only GT1 drivers can qualify for WSS/WSF, but you also can't be "relegated" out of it until the season ends.

GT2 and GT3 races still happen, and you still score points for it, but not as much and you can't qualify for any finals.

i fear that unless there are revisions in the BoP in the coming update that most people will sign for Subaru and also a lot for Volkswagen. Wonder also if the update will include the option again to control the brake balance like in GTS. without it a lot of the cars will have a disadvantage because of the tyre wear...

I doubt they will sign with volkswagon as i have for every test season, because of the gr4 car, the Scirocco only has 301 hp in bop races and unless they change that with next update, i dont see people running volkswagon with me just for beetle

You race in GT2 and GT3 grouping and play to win.....nothing, by the looks of it.

Once again it seems to be aimed squarely at the top 0.1% and they don't care about incentives for anyone else to take part.

Where else can you compete directly against that top 1% in the exact same settings and conditions, and even races, if you get good enough?

Why should anyone less than the best drivers win something?

That gives me an idea, bin off the GT2 and GT3 leagues and create a spinoff championship for people playing on controller to overcome the inherent advantage wheels have and ensure everybody is racing to the exact same settings and conditions.

Ok fine, but you have to adjust your room temperature to match mine, and not the other way around. Or no deal.

One thing I kinda appreciate is that there are new liveries for the Manu races, no longer just the standard liveries that are mismatched from one another. Kinda like the implied sense of unity.

Can someone answer a question for me? If i am a B dr and i sign with volkswagon like i did, if some dirtyness happens during races and i fall to a C dr, do i get B or C points for next races?

Because that's how most tiered sports work? Because that's how you incentivise people to join in a competion of any kind, even at the lowest levels, whether in video games or real life?

Most people will simply never reach the level required to be in the top 32 in the world even if they practiced 10 hours a day, every day. Thats just the simple reality, only a few people are ever going to reach that level in competition.

So why not give everyone something to aim for? Sure, there are some people who only need the incentive of the races themselves, enthusiasts on sites like this, but more casual players, they need a good reason to enter these races over other ones.

Of course I'm not suggesting people in lower leagues receive equal prizes to the very best, I'm just saying you'd surely get more participation if everyone had something to shoot for instead of just the best few hundred people.

Most games with similar competitive events hand out rewards on a simple percentile basis. Top 1%, best prize. Top 5%, 2nd best prize and so on, all the way down to the 90th percentile and lower, who would get a small but still reasonable prize. Even just being something exclusive, but minor, like a livery or specially tuned car would be enough to get some people to take part, but simple credits would also suffice.

If you're in 135,642nd place what incentive is there to better yourself? You're highly unlikely to ever jump to 16th, but what if 70,524th place or better would reward you with 15 million credits, instead of only 6 million? That's a simple Incentive for an average driver to do a little better, something within their grasp.

Their trailer pretty much said they are going to OP genesis so I’m guessing they’ll make BOP changes. If it means the beetle is gone then I’m all for it.

Is it a standard tournament approach where they take points from a selection your top results (i.e. four out of six events)? Rather than points from all events combined?

Conscious I'll miss a few nights due to engagements. But not that it matters, I'm not top 1% anyways...

I would virtually guarantee there will be BoP changes in the update. I have already signed for Aston Martin regardless, but it will be funny to see how many end up signing with a fully nerfed VW or Subaru...

Participation awards are for elementary school kids, only the best should actually win something. Everyone else just gets to see how they stack up to the best, that’s the prize. Sorry if you got used to winning something for losing ad a kid, that’s not really how life works. 👍

Is there any reason that we know that they chose those 'time slots' for the EU region for the Saturday slots?

I get it is probably to try and balance time zone differences and more people are likely to be home but I will probably be busy most Saturday's at my outdoor hobby and as a result am probably not going to participate in the world series this year.

I would like to if there were later slots but the fact the last one is 7pm and most Saturday's I'm not home until 9 it will mean I only enter 3 out of 6 races so not really worth my efforts since I doubt I'll be able to do that well out of just 3 races points wise.
