This guy is driving like a pro with street fighter arcade controls. What a joke

How exactly does that joystick differ from the joystick on a controller? Also you can control GT5 with the directional pad, does that mean GT5's steering isn't realistic either?

Ive already explained that TT3AZ.

DUH!!

The timing is an OBVIOUS BUSINESS MOVE. DUH. DUH. DUH.

No doubt, I would be surprised if anyone thought different. The Spec 2.0 update may not steal any of Forza's sales, but I'm sure PD would settle for some stolen thunder.

Regardless, it's a great day for fans of both.

There is no way you can drive a so called sim like that with those arcade sticks. The guy also tried F1 2011 and found it more challenging

What's this got to do with the update. Has Kaz added stick support too.

You have extremely low standards then, which is a shame really. And i'm disappointed that PD agrees. If you're going to do something, do it right, or not at all. Having inconsistent quality like this, is unacceptable in a flagship PlayStation 3 title.

I'm going to agree with you on the "if you're going to do something, do it right, or not all all," because I imagine that PD could've spent their time on converting Standards to Premiums instead of integrating blacked out interior views. Probably just me and my OCD, though!

I will disagree on what you said about how it's "unacceptable" for having "inconsistant quality." When GT5 came out, the "Premium" and "Standard" car differences were an inconsistency, were they not? And although people didn't like it at first, it didn't stop them from playing the game, right? I mean yes, it would be nice if all cars were Premium, but that doesn't mean that Standard cars are a game breaker.

I am quite happy about getting interior views for standard cars. Nice to see PD integrating things that us GT5 gamers wished for. 👍

I'm hoping that PD also improves the engine sounds!

I was really hoping for wheel swapping option for standards as well as movable details like mudflaps flapping which were in either GT4 of GTPSP but have been left out in the version for the more powerful PS3... that doesn't make much sense to me.

Is it just me, or is no one even slightly disappointed about a livery editor or more freedom in Course Maker not being included in 2.0? Don't get me wrong, all the features that have been mentioned so far are great, and I'm actually surprised that some of those got in, but it seems like there is a lack of customization in GT5. Here's hoping for a customization DLC or update in the future (even if it means creating liveries in Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro.)

On a different note, I'm really excited about standard car cockpits, I'll finally be able to get behind the wheel of my Superbird! (Even if its all black) :sly:

Seasonals are NOT racing. Unless you can find me a real world racing series that someone starts 30 odd seconds behind the leader and has to get to first in 5 laps, whilst overtaking slow moving AI cars that aren't even racing.

I never said they are realistic, real world racing, I said they are A-Spec, as defined by PD. Perhaps the argument should be "there should be more realistic grid-start events" rather than "there should be more A-Spec events" then.

Love all the replies in here of buying PSN cards. Nobody have enough faith in Sony to pop their credit card in? HAHAHA!

Yeah for real, just sucks that the cheapest card is £20 here, or £25, I forget, though it is kinda fun using that to buy a few choice things...

Actually PSN never accepted my Visa Debit card, and when everything kicked off with the security breach, I considered myself lucky :)

Funny, but am i the only one to notice the big black GT-R Super GT race car? I don't think that is in the game now. I am salivating over the possibilities. I haven't played GT5 seriously in a few months now. I cannot wait!!

It's not a Super GT car, it's something different, most likely also a race mod. It looks similar to the GT-R N24 they will also introduce with the update, so maybe they shared some parts of that 3D model.

The joystick is on/off meaning it goes from Neutral position to fully pressed, with no in middle positions, like a regular analog stick or the pressure sensitive D-Pad the DS3 has.

Well ok but you're getting into semantics there, we know PD call them A-Spec events but we all know they're not A-Spec events like the main, offline events are.

Hooray. That`s what we needed. 11 new Nascars. :ouch:

Obviously you're not a fan, you don't see the difference that I see clear as day.

It is that car.

Looks like a GT1 GTR if you really have a good look at it, I've got a sneaking suspicion we'll get the cars listed by a former user:

Aston Martin DB9 - DBR9 GT1
Ferrari F430 - F430 GT2
Ferrari F458 - F458 GTE
Ferrari F40 - F40 LM or F40 GTE
McLaren F1 - '95/96 style F1 GTR
Lotus Esprit - '96 V8 GT1
Lamborghini Murcielago SV - R-SV GT1
Lamborghini Gallardo - LP600 GT3
Jaguar XKR - XKRR GTE
BMW M3 - M3 GTE
Audi R8 5.2 - R8 LMS
McLaren MP4-12C - MP4-12C GT3
Ford GT - Matech GT GT1
Dodge Viper SRT10 - SRT10 'GT1'
Mercedes Benz SLS AMG - SLS GT3
Nissan GTR R35 - GTR GT1

Saved it as a kind of a wishlist for myself and added one or two to it. 👍 to PD for finally giving us something substantial however.

That would be neat!
It is that car.
Then the livery and aero would be wrong:

The other Schulze Motorsport GT-R looks like that:

But that's not the N24, but the VLN version.

The pictures I posted are the N24 and VLN versions, which aren't categorized by the FIA. They are kinda comparable to GT3 I think. The one above should be the one we get with 2.0, it's the car Yamauchi drove.

EDIT: In the 24h race they drove in the class SP8 T, which means GT2 cars and less, they are usually a lot slower than the highest class SP9, which includes FIA GT3 cars, because of restrictions.

It all depends on the content. Probs 1GB+ though. Which will take me ~5 minutes to download <3

I have a T1 connection so I'm not worried about the size because either way, it will be done downloading before I can say SHAZZAM, lol.

Well, for those who held off on buying GT5, or were constantly hating on the game, in fact, even Forza enthusiasts, may be considering jumping ship. This is easily the biggest news we've heard about this game since the release date.

Well considering that both the Spec 2.0 update and FM4 are coming out on the same day! I don't know what I'm gonna do on Tuesday... all I know is that I'm taking that day off from work.

I'm probably gonna spend a lot of that day playing FM4 then getting together with a bunch of my racing series buddies from the GT Online racing section to try out all the new features and decide on what the next RM racing series should be later on at night. I'm thinking a multi-make series since we're hopefully getting quite a few new ones.

Doing all that while still remembering that the DLC won't be out in the same week, but in the following ones.

I hope they categorize the dealership(not likeley) into Super GT, Nascar, concept, road cars etc. Makes things easier for me.

Also I hope they up the car roster for SuperGT as they did with Nascar. Some brilliant cars in the series.
