Kaz said that they took the ideas that fans wanted to be implemented into the game. I wonder if part of their research includes scanning sites such as this, and if so who the spies are so I can PM them my ideas. :P

Edit: fixed Kay to Kaz, ever since the new 1.3 android update my autocorrect has been making stupid choices.

The greatest thing about this update is that PD shows that is listening to the fans.
Yes it goes with slow paces (in our world), but (IMO) it is more than obvious that they are working really hard, they never stopped working on it and eventually GT5 will be (like the previous GT's) a Racing Game like no other.

Note***Always have in mind what difficult times japan had this year and still isnt at a tip-top condition.***

No doubt man great post. Sometime people forget that there is a real world, and its not just gaming and GT. I lost my apartment do to irene, and I'm still suffering from it. So PD getting this work done for us should be appreciated.

The new NASCAR pit scene in photomode is probably in the same location of that main menu video where the crew is working on your car. Right?

No spies needed. There is software now that scrapes all of the forums and social media sites looking for references to a brand or subjects. It even sorts comments into positive and negative by looking for different verbs that tend to be used either in a positive context or a negative one. It's an interesting way to see what's being said about your company or brand. Smart companies will use this feedback to better their product. Dumb ones will use this data to just drive new press releases to "combat" negative consumers.

I'm lukewarm about this update. I think if they had called it an update I would be OK, but in my opinion it doesn't live up to "Spec II". I'm disappointed that this update contains no new events. I'm disappointed that the new tracks will be DLC and therefore likely won't be used in gameplay much if at all. I'm also disappointed that it does nothing to fix the stupid XP system which should have been removed entirely and the license system been brought back.

I've got this sneaking suspicion everything hasn't been announced yet so it'd be wise to keep comments to yourself until such time as we have official word of everything that's in.

I'm pretty excited about the idea of improved physics. If the draft is reduced/more realistic and if the tires aren't quite so 🤬 hard/more realistic it will be a great improvement.

It all depends on the content. Probs 1GB+ though. Which will take me ~5 minutes to download <3

Same. Depending on how busy the server is.
My connection will pull it down faster then sony can send it out....yet I still disconnect from races 90% of the time.

And the people who scan it are geniuses who are drugged up, in a bath and have probes on their heads that analyze the data? Jk :P
That's pretty crazy but I wouldn't doubt that they have something like that with the leaps in technology. And from the sounds of it PD has taken a lot of ideas from GTPlanet and decided to give us what we want.

Hey, I can't even play online because I lag so bad!

When the room has more than 5 people I lag out. Every single time. I always have to leave when the racing gets good.:(
On a side note if it's over 2 gig I might be looking at 48 hours plus. Man that's lame:(

Not troll, the truth  I have 50Mbs in/out connection <3

Only 50Mbit/s ? I have 120 Mbit/s ^_^
Although this is an old pic, the speed hasn't changed since then.

About the size... Spec 2.0 update is around 2GByte big, the DLC will be around 1.5GByte big.

I hate you so much. Can I mail you my ps3 so you can download it all with your connection? It'll probably be faster than just downloading on my Internet:sly:

Complain there's no Spec II.

Get Spec II.

Complain about how big it might be.

I think it'll be around 1.5 - 2 gigs. Not too bad. There's a lot bigger in the store.

I dunno where you're from but I'm in the Netherlands so shipping might take longer, not including risk of damage to said PS3 while in transit. I mean I know I personally am very careful with someone else's stuff, but I doubt the guys at the post office are. :ouch:

No I'm not complaining about the size it's more my Internet. The bigger it is the more there is going to be. When Sony gave away games after they got hacked I downloaded infamous. Took 6 days for like 6 gig. Won't do that again soon.

Logiforce I was just kidding about that. Shipping from the us would not be cheap. Plus someone would drop it in transit:lol:

Takes me a little over an hour to download something a little over 1 gig. I wish I had incredibly fat Internet li,e you guys.

Sounds like about 1 GigaByte a day. :S
I'm so glad I'm not on those speeds anymore.

Back before 2001 I was still on 56k dail-up. Then in 2001 I got 512Mbit/s consumer cable connection, now 10 years it is upgraded during the years to the 120Mbit/s consumer cable connection you saw a few posts earlier.

I hope your not on any data limits per month either? That would suck even more!

Ye, I dont believe Kaz would show his entire hand.... I belive there is more to come...

No data limits thankfully. I heard somewhere that you guys in the netherlands have some of the fastest Internet in the world next to japan of course. Forget where i heard that though.

Could be. It's usually a little race between the Netherlands, South Korea and Japan. South Korea is fastest at the moment at average from all the citizens with internet connections.

Ehm... just got a nice link (only averages though). We're only 5 :(

Oh yeah, I heard that we'll be going to 240Mbit/s in Q1 2012. :P

Those cars are already pretty detailed inside. They just aren't modeled fully. You can see if you choose to watch replays that interiors to some standard cars are visible.
