Well....:

From the pic;
-Nissan GTR R35 RM
-Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 RM
-Mazda RX-7 RM (Not sure exact RX-7...)
-2011 Subaru WRX STi RM

I expect another bunch of 100 Japanese cars :ouch:

That makes now how many 600? 700? Japanese cars in GT5? Pure patriotism :D

Who?

If you don't know the legend, you must be in the wrong place. Just kidding amar212 is a big thing for 2 reasons. His name, and last, but not least, his input.

I know I'm right. :sly:

Did Amars predicitions come true? Or do I have to eat my game manual now?

Last time I checked he has been out of the loop lately. But yes, 99% of his winds have blown the right way.

So... New patch comes out Tuesday? Do we know what time?
Probably around midnight in the US. The usual time an update get's released.

Hopefully a different theme song for the spec 2.0 intro.
My Chemical Romance are fans of GT so I say respect their part in the intro. May not be your style, but at least, the album that Planetary GO! is on was extremely successful. Just like GT5. Heyyyy coincidence. Anything GT touches turns into a success.

From an ex-forza 1-2-3 owner : GT5 is better than Forza and most of all PD is much more concerned with their customers than T10. That is why they make free updates , adjustments, to make a good game even better !

Now with this big update comming up all we can say is thank you PD !

I'm lukewarm about this update. I think if they had called it an update I would be OK, but in my opinion it doesn't live up to "Spec II". I'm disappointed that this update contains no new events. I'm disappointed that the new tracks will be DLC and therefore likely won't be used in gameplay much if at all. I'm also disappointed that it does nothing to fix the stupid XP system which should have been removed entirely and the license system been brought back.

Agree here, amazing update but, almost a year old where is the a-spec championships/events? A-spec is so small in this game it needs major content.

So, all convertable/non-roofed vehicles that are standard have (vaguely) detailed interiors?

Yep since that's technically part of the modelled exterior although there aren't that many roadcars with an open top, some which were open top in GT4 now have a closed canvas roof (for example the Honda S500/600/800).
So I think this new viewpoint applies to cars like the Caterham, Prowler and Jay Leno Tank Car and open racecars like some modern Le Mans racers and Chaparral 2J and Toyota 7 perhaps.

Will today be the day of the DLC specifics? I'll thank PD then because I'm so eager to find out, I'm getting anxious not knowing the quality of the DLC.

Now I'm not trying to look to hard into this or anything, but I'm just bringing it up 'cause it caught my eye and I don't know what it is.

And it's probably nothing, but seeing as we don't have more information coming in yet I thought it might be good to try and gain a little more insight into it:

This is one of the few screens we have of the upcoming spec 2.0 update. I noticed a little, tire?, icon that represents a certain percentage of something.

Now, to play a bit of charades: to me, it sort of looks like a little tire icon with an arrow possibly pointing to a road surface with a percentage read out representing some sort of grip meter or amount of water on track at the time?

Maybe someone has seen this before and could shed a little light. It could even have been there before in Arcade mode but I wouldn't know 'cause I've never played it. Other than that, I'm stumped.

Surface water at race start. :)

Hopefully today we'll heart about the dlc, but not sure by any mean:

"more great news – very shortly we will be sharing with you details of a forthcoming package of exciting DLC for GT5 that will include new vehicles and tracks plus a host of other additional new content. The news will be incoming to PlayStation Blog and gran-turismo.com very soon"

Was that from last night or just now?

Yeah, that makes sense, but why would it be there when the option isn't highlighted? I'm thinking that this might be an indicator that might stay there when watching a race to proceduraly display track conditions. Guess we'll have to wait and see if it'll stay there in any form and is variable, or if these options are even available online.

I saw that this morning and wondered the same thing. What I really wonder is if weather will be available on more tracks of if these new menu options only apply to tracks that already have the weather option. I'd love to see weather on more tracks, but would really like to see time-change available on more tracks. 👍

City tracks especially need time change or a night version.
Think at Rome or Tokyo R246 races during night!

So it might just be an indicator of water coverage?

@S. Akira
I think 100% means the whole track would be covered wet, over that and you've got a full-on spill bro.

Tokyo would be absolutely awesome at night, Rome would be interesting with the Colosseum lit up.
