Wow that was fun to Steward! Sorry for the delays today and good luck all tomorrow!!!!

Al

Congrats Bart on the pole. 👍

Excellent job commentating, Tim and Paul. Seriously sounded like you guys are professionals, sitting side-by-side in the best seat in the house at Nurb GP/F.

Thanks Lucas, I think I can speak for us both in saying we had a lot of fun, and had a great time watching some incredible laps out there on track!

For all those who want to watch the full replay of the qualifying stages, you can find it right here: http://www.twitch.tv/oink83/b/426774133

Thanks, it was a lot of fun working with oink. If anyone has a chance to do it in the future I would highly recommend it. Only wish we could broadcast the race tomorrow. It would be so cool if we had more angles to view, especially bumper cam while observing.

Anyway, next race I'm out of the booth and back on the track... As fun as it was, it was tough to watch others driving and not being out there.

Great show by the drivers... Close times and changing positions until the last seconds. Congrats to Bart again... But as they say... Points are only earned on Sunday.

Good luck to all tomorrow!

Here are the results from knockout qualifying.

EDIT: {See updated results below after penalties}

And then merging in the pre-qualifiers results in the following:

EDIT: {See updated results below after penalties}

Note that Calcifer and RPH both have 3 spot grid penalties from the last race so RPH will start last and Calcifer just in front of him. If either do not start the race their penalties will carry forward to the next race until they serve the penalty for a race start.

Exact lounge assignments will be announced once we know how many drivers can make the race tomorrow.

The stewards have disqualified GTP_Peir's qualification laps in Q2 due to frequent track boundary abuse including on his fast lap in Q2. His Q1 time/position will stand as his final qualifying. The updated and final official qualification results are as follows:

Are we going to have two lounges no matter what happens or only one if we get below 17 confirmed?

Most likely we will be above 17. Porsche has run his qualifying laps and has confirmed.

Haven't heard from RPH so that's looking like a cancel. Would have at least appreciated an update.

We'll announce the final rooms in about 25 minutes and close registration changes. Waiting for last updates so we don't have to start shuffling after people have already joined.

For the moment you can look at the registration image on the front page as linked in Al's post above, but it's subject to change for the next 25 mins.

Good news... will be posting the final grid assignments in about 5 minutes.

Here are the final lounge/grid assignments:

RPH's penalty is included (ended up being a 1 spot penalty) so that will be wiped from the books.

Please do not join your assigned lounge until a steward posts that the room is open and ready for drivers.

Good luck and keep it clean out there.

PS> gazziboy is in the A race and streaming at http://www.twitch.tv/yorkshirepudding

Please review the start procedures before you enter the lounge:

Formula One Style Formation Lap and Standing Start
  • Once the starting order is confirmed by the steward all drivers should enter the pits.
  • When all drivers are in the pits, the steward will call the drivers one at a time onto the track and the drivers will line up in single file behind the pole sitter in order to stage the grid.
  • Once all drivers are in their proper start positions the steward will start the race countdown timer.
  • After the system places you on the grid for the start, drivers will line up single file and proceed with the formation lap.
  • At no time should the pacing car exceed 200 kph and all turns will be taken at reasonable speeds.
  • Weaving or other tire warming procedures ARE allowed during the formation lap - please be careful.
  • Following the exit of the final corner all drivers will proceed to their appropriate grid starting marker.
  • The race clock in the top right corner of the screen will then be utilized for timing the race start.
  • At exactly 3 minutes (3:00.000) on the clock the race starts.
  • If there is a problem staging the grid any driver can delay the start by one minute, but must do so by chat announcement at least 15 seconds prior to the start time.
  • Should any driver mistakenly start prior to the designated mark they must lift immediately so as to not gain position from the error prior to turn 1.
  • Be cautious and courteous in the first turn. Dive bombing will be penalized and will not be tolerated. These are tricky cars and turn 1 is tough period. Error on the side of caution and use runoff areas if available and necessary to avoid contact, but do not use it to gain positions.
  • Please take the time to practice this start procedure at least once in a practice session.

Finally, if you are going down a lap be sure to observe the blue flag... remember dirty air may prevent the lapping car from getting right on your bumper... if you are being followed and cannot pull away you still must pull over and allow a pass.

Lounge 3D3_A is now open for race A.

I'll join the B lounge as soon as this Indycar race is over. Only 12 laps left, so I'll be in before 2:30 Eastern.

Good race, the cars fit Pocono perfectly. Looking forward to catching you guys on the live stream after this race finishes. Been a solid day of watching racing (F1-->Indycar-->WRS_F1)
