Another good one.
If his altruistic ambitions for the game was longevity, why did the game launch with Brand Central and Legendary Cars? Why wasn't it launched purely with the Used Car Dealer, with a fair number of cars to satisfy at launch, and build the game that way?
Because what we have is a mix of overpriced used cars, cars that appear in both UCD and BC for relatively little price difference, and legendary cars that cost 18.5 times the credit bonus given to deluxe players who spent out even more on the game.
As much as I've enjoyed it, the game is a shambles of mechanics, capitalism and anachronism.
I totally disagree, but what if players could make all custom choices for BoP, tyres, BHP? Even I would think the game was almost or mostly OK even with all the money grinding involved. It would take 1 hour of coding if not less. It's not an unmitigated disaster, it's still perfectly playable and a heap of fun.
Then obviously and by absolute guarantee, there would be no problems with the in-game economy whatsoever. And MTX would be totally irrelevant. Then only the PP limits left to lose and the GT7 game is great again!!!Perhaps the best solution would be to allow everyone to be able to set a race awards multiplier from x1 to x10. That way each person could have the level of grind that personally suits them.
I don't get you, Turbo.I appreciate him taking the time to address the issue personally, rather than a generic response from the company.
That's your opinion.I don't get you, Turbo.
Kaz's statement(s) are bonified lies. Personally, I haven't heard any truth(s) from him in years.
I cannot speak for his past comments but this one is pretty disingenuous. That's your opinion.
If the "Custom Race" mode firstly had the amount of customisation options for races that the career mode does, and secondly had reasonable race payouts that mirrored the world circuits mode, THEN it would be perfectly playable and a heap of fun.I totally disagree, but what if players could make all custom choices for BoP, tyres, BHP? I just don't think you can stop people from grinding, no matter what the state of the game economy is.The credit system, as it is, encourages grinding above all else. 3 minutes at Fisherman's ranch is the best time spent in the game 3 minutes and 20 seconds (or there abouts) and you get 45000Cr. Why do anything else? Once all the menus are finished, and all prize cars are gained, why do anything else? 30 minute races? for 5000Cr? I'm sorry, what?
Too many people want instant gratification these days. That's not how life works.Sometimes PD Listens, and hopefully, this is one of those times.

Buying credits for the impatient at, say. $20 for 50mil CR, I can see that. I might even buy in to that, but as it stands, it's obnoxious.
This is a gross miscalculation. They all got this wrong. The design team, the producers, SCE, all of them. I mean, I buy a race car, and then I still have to buy more racing parts to be able to adjust it. This isn't just about people who want instant gratification. The miserable payouts alter the game play behaviour and incentivise grinding Fisherman's Ranch, while disincentivising pretty much all else in the game.
If Kaz really cared, he'd stand up and correct this travesty.

how many times do we need to keep debunking this absolutely horse**** talking point before people stop using itToo many people want instant gratification these days. That's not how life works.
Life won't give you everything you desire at the click of your fingers mate.
250 hours instead of 4000 is not "instant gratification".
P.S. This isn't life, it's a video game.
It's not though.how many times do we need to keep debunking this absolutely horse**** talking point before people stop using it
Tell me someone who's actually asking for this. Give me proof.Life won't give you everything you desire at the click of your fingers mate.
That does not answer my point in the slightest, or address your incorrect straw man. Try again.Life won't give you everything you desire at the click of your fingers mate.
In this circumstance you miss the mark completely. It is not instant gratification they want, just any gratification at all.Too many people want instant gratification these days. That's not how life works.
What are you even talking about at this point? Nobody said this, well except for you.Life won't give you everything you desire at the click of your fingers mate.
But the fact is you have to wait to get your reward. That does not answer my point in the slightest, or address your incorrect straw man. Try again.
You can still get it.In this circumstance you miss the mark completely. It is not instant gratification they want, just any gratification at all.

Like, say, if all the races paid out at the same rate per minute (or any other timeframe), I could only see players going for the races that take the least amount of effort (boring) or re-doing their favorite race(s) until they get bored of it.
Even raising the payouts, I believe players would still try to optimize their credit haul by grinding. You can't get rid of the initial problem, which is players wanting to explore their interests as quickly as possible and having to collect Chuck-E-Cheese coins to do so.
Let me be more clear, because I hate to be a complainer without concrete, actionable answers.Too many people want instant gratification these days. That's not how life works.
