Hey ONI, I will starti on hards. I've done a little testing, I average mid 1.58s with the best cracking into the 1.57 high.

Ev

Lol Evan I hope that's 1.47s. The SLS is running consistent low 1.47s with a best of 1.47 flat.

Hards for me.

I think us Ford GTs have a lot of work to do if your guys times are right. ;)

Yeah I might have made a bit of a mistake 1.57 high.....lol, it felt like 1.57

Although I'd love to start the race with 1315kg I think that I better go with 1415kg

Nice win last week Evan!

Oni, Can I nominate mediums as the official qualifying tyre for Team Ying Yang racing?

Nice win last week Evan!

Oni, Can I nominate mediums as the official qualifying tyre for Team Ying Yang racing?

As stand in driver for Team Ying Yang Racing I am following team orders to start on mediums :)

Gents,

This is a heads up to any wildcard drivers. Due to a work roster scheduling change in order to accommodate family commitments, I will not be attending next weeks race (Round 7 - Madrid), as well as the already scheduled absense from the following race (Round 8 - Spa Francorchamps). :grumpy:

Anyone looking for a race is welcome to jump into my spot.

Tables and Graphs will continue to be updated as information and replays are sourced from anonymous donors. :sly:

Noes!!.. That's more points lost mate but i understand work/life commitments always take priority. BTW Round 7 has been changed to Grand Valley East Reverse. I'll make a post about it later on.

Quick question about Monza.

Will it be ok to break the white line rule if going side by side through the chicanes? There is very little room and I would hate to accidently run someone wide into the sand etc.

Of course the above would only be if no advantage was gained from the cut i.e. the 2 cars were still side by side on the straight after each chicane.

What say you Oni?

The 'run offs' around the chicane areas are only to be used to avoid causing an accident in which if you did cut the chicane to avoid an accident you will have to rejoin back into your position before the cut.

It's inevitable that a driver may cut the chicane with close racing. In the event a driver does cut the chicane you must ensure you are back behind the driver you were side by side with before the next turn.

Reason being is that you would not have been able to be side by side on the next turn if you had not cut the chicane the previous turn.

Good win Cactass!! Go Team!!
Had a pretty good race myself. Starting from the rear in 15th I made my way up to 4th before lag caused a restart.
From the restart I kept it clean and did a pretty good job therein only making 2 small mistakes and letting drivers through so as not to destroy my tires fighting.
Finished 9th catching Jol all the while, I think without those 2 offs I would have had him and maybe even been with the group in front of him, but still happy with the result.

Just a quick post.

Sorry Red hope I didn't ruin your race last night.

I watched the replay, lap21 i braked at my normal spot, you were are 100mts in front of me so didn't think that was going to be a drama, but as I was pulling up I realized there was going to be contact. All I could do was try and bomb the corner and hope you saw me coming and pray we get no damage.

Sorry mate

Ev

Nice to be back racing with you all, not sure why my system is lagging. No other devices connect to the net, wife was snoring for Wales and Ollie was in bed.
The GTR didnt have the legs on the long straights :( and god knows what trans settings it was running...it didnt launch off the line either!!!
Running in my own room i broke into the 1:47's but sadly when it need to count I was over driving the car and struggling to keep in the 1:48! :(
Opening laps threw me abit, everyone was backing up trying to to hit eachother, it took me a while to get into the swing of things. Had fun battling with Jol unlike the restart.
Again at the restart, managed to get back with Jol after my slow start and had another great battle. then I am not sure what lap but the Lag spike came back. my screen froze! then restarted just as Oni and someone else came past! My heart sank as I thought I have just messed up these guys race! I threw the car off the track to get out of the way. As I rejoined I notice no one was slowing so I think (gladly!) no one suffered any damage. (sorry if you did)
I managed to recatch the back of the pack and over took a few (the 4wd working well out of the first chicane) but a spin put me to the back again...where I stayed.

Still a good night, I look forward to next week and Hope I cone do Arie and Moon proud. :)

Well how to sum up last night... Unfortunate is a word that can't be filtered.

Pulled out my best time all week to get on the second row of the grid. Race start take 1, good start but lost a lot of time to Mik and Cac after i got intimidated by a big braking move from Arie. had a duel with lost and as Oni called a restart I hit the grass and crashed, great timing haha.

Take 2, with the re shuffle we had a lot more grip go's (4wd) behind us and I had to try and defend hard into turn 1 without much luck but a bit of ignorance on my part i was soon back on the tail of Mik who was chasing Cac.

Team AMG went in to the race with a strategy and was working out ok, gained some time over Mik in pit lane but the second set of mediums just felt like the car wasn't driving the same as it was before the stop, lap 22 lost was on my tail and we were driving through the last corner when I turned out of the corner slightly to avoid any contact with Red's car that was nose in against the inside barrier, touched the grass and spun in front of lost who had nowhere to go and the damage to my right rear was incredible. Pitted and put on a 3rd set of mediums hoping my maths meant I was still under the "If you c**k up, you can reset the tires" without effecting your tire bank.

That pretty much sums up my race, after the second stop I kept crashing and loading myself up with damage and finished last.

Congrats to Cac, your speed last night was impossible to catch, despite you saying "If you do a 47 your doing well", you did a 46 with no draft :P.

Mik congrats on what I think is your first podium, sorry I couldn't be there to make it an AMG 2-3.

I am a fan of GVE-R but based on my form this season in this car, it may not be a happy hunting ground this season

No problem evan.
I don't know what the (HECK) happened last night............?

I think it was just my turn to be attacked by the GT5 GREMLINS last night.

CHEERS redness-63(;)

Taital spun infront of me got serious damage engine front suspension had to pit straight away after 2 laps on fresh meds after 19 laps on hards. All i remember from that point in race to finish is big red glowing eyes haha and a little battle with oni till the finish shame i went off last corner had cuaght on to back toiv and tryna take a spot which i wouldn't got in draft ended up loosing 2 spots so bad move for me. All in all i had one minor off as expected I'm reliable at that track another great race lastnight

I'll take your word for that Red. You'll get points for 15th place minus 25 points for missing after race scrutineering.

On to other business.

As you all might remember i suggested we move the qualifying to Sunday evening/night to ensure the race does not get delayed on Monday nights. Therefore i would like everyone to post their preference from the below;

Opt 1. Monday Night 8pm
Opt 2. Sunday Night 8-9pm
Opt 3. Sunday Night 7-8pm

Once we have a time suitable for all we will move qualifying to that day/time.

Cheers,
Oni.

This also means we can qualify for longer and we will need to scrutineer before and after qualifying and the race as the days are seperated?

Im more for a later period (sorry NZ guys)

Option 2 for me

Good win Cactass! The Gallardo was unstoppable on its home track. I would say you pretty much owned that race from start to finish. Really impressive stuff. 👍

Mr T, I do recall you literally jumping out of my way and thought it was a bit odd at the time. Sorry I didn’t mean to scare the crap out of you. I swear it really wasn’t an attempt to take your position. Need to remember two well known facts about the GTR: First of all it isn’t going all that fast by the end of each straight and it does have the a decent set of brakes out there. Maybe I must of caught some of draft without noticing it but I thought it was pretty much close to my normal brake point.

First race incident between Red and I occurred just under brakes at Variante della Roggia (the 2nd chicane). Right at the 1st brake marker Red was still about 20m behind me. Then in an instant his car then magically appeared right in front of me. While he warped back to his original position our cars collided and damaged us both. Who knows how Red saw my car doing in his view!? Strange thing is that I had not had recalled seeing even the slightest amount of lag during practise or the preceding opening laps.

On the restart I was a bit confused on where I was supposed to start but from Oni’s response my understanding was the position on the last completed lap which I took as before the incident. Hopefully this was correct. But it wasn’t my night, and it all went wrong for me on the first lap again.

Coming into Variante Ascari, I think I had forgotten that that we had restarted and the tyres were stone cold, I had my red misty eyes fixed on the SLS’s and Lambos who were literally rubbing mirrors down every single straight, when all of a sudden I was about to rear end Jol. I threw my car hard to the inside and hit the barrier. Thought I had managed to avoid the collision but couldn’t stop in time and continued across the track and still collected Jol. Really sorry about that if you sustained damage mate.

Had to pit and watch the field race away. Thought to myself this is going to be a boring race then saw that Red D’cd. So I kept pushing. Wasn’t making any ground on the leaders but noticed the back markers were getting closer on the map. Oni did his 1st pit stop and I could actually see another car.

Then I think Jol, and the GT’s also pitted and I grabbed a few more spots. While the GT’s quickly overtook me, my tyres were holding up surprisingly well. I decided that I would push the Mediums tyres to the limit and managed to make it to past the half-way point of the race which would allow me to forgo an additional pit stop.

Not sure if that plan would work now since the GT/PSN gremlins decided that I should be booted from the race. There go my chances of challenging for repeat ORS championship podium. :grumpy: One minor positive thing from being D’cd was that I got the chance to watch an awesome battle between Oni and Lost. Great driving there boys!!!

Velly, You did good considering it was your first Monday night race back in a while. I think you will be solid next week at GV East as it is one of your favourite tracks. Let’s see what you can do with GTR’s transmission. No pressure mate.

Oni, Opt 2. Sunday Night 8-9pm gets my vote. Sorry guys anything before 8:30pm is difficult for me due to family commitments. Like the idea of a longer qualifying session. Perhaps we could just stick to scrutineering just before qualifying and race. I would believe that guys racing with the ORS would have the integrity not to try and use a brand new car each race in order to gain any minor advantages from this.

Order of preferences:
1) Sunday Night 8-9pm
2) Sunday Night 7-8pm
3) Monday Night 8pm
