Why would they mess up the PS4 version? Let's just hope though, the PS4's hardware a little more code and programmer friendly than the PS3.
They might decide to set the game to 30 fps, to put more graphic effects in. Or they could try to keep the the fps at 60, but the game might suffer from fps drops.

Or they could turn down the prettiness until they get a stable frame rate, which if I recall is what they said they're planning to do on WMD.

Having one console racing game with a wildly variable frame rate is already one too many.

Thanks mate

No problem. Awesome shots you made there as well. Wish I had the quad Titan power to go to such extremes.

Just carefully tried the game after 1 month ish. Seems the cars (the few I tried) are feeling more tied down now, but still unrefined in areas (probably next stage for over 2 or 3 months ish). The game is definitely still improving for sure.

I still prefer pCARS over Assetto Corsa myself (tried AC too for a bit yesterday). With AC I get the feeling that the tyres are simply metal drums with a tyre tread layer wrapped around them... and that's it. There just isn't any sidewall and corresponding sidewall dynamics.

^^ The RUF shots: borderline INSANE! I wonder if it's going to look this good on next-gen consoles.

I can't believe we're still going to get games running at 30 fps on next-gen. A lot of gamers might be fine with this, but it bothers me.

Smoother, more fluid gameplay = more realism and immersion.

I wonder what will happen to you when pCars is released and want to play it himself and he comes to collect your soul and your 4 Titans? :P

He just puts him in the rig and gets him hooked to sim racing to the point where he for the time being forgets about collecting the goods.

Lmao, oh man that was a good one 👍, i guess if he does show up we can play together, what's he got to lose?

You guys are cracking me up , i guess since i've been playing this game 24/7 ( don't think i would lose) me and him could make another deal...i win i take my soul back, and if he wins, he can take my RIG! Win win for him ;)

I'd say that's a fair deal right there :P

Here's some more goodies for you fellas

A fair deal indeed. I would already be happy if I could get one Titan in my rig. I doubt the CPU will be a bottleneck for me, an i7 2600k.

That last pic of the Ginetta reminds me that I am still missing the Mazda RX7. I would be very interested to see how the physics engine would handle the rotary engine. It is different from the normal combustion engines after all, with a lot more torque being produced than in a regular engine with the same cylinder contents.

I am amazed about how stable the Merc DTM drives versus the more lively BMW E30. As if the center of gravity is a lot lower and together with the width of the Merc, it is just more stable through the corners. Though maybe a bit slower at apex, you can get on the gas much earlier and easier.
I can really see why these two were so well matched when driving them side by side in pCARS. Each really have their own very distinct and really brand recognizable handling characteristics. It really is amazing work and it feels like slowly the pieces are falling into place now.

I am only missing Opel and Alfa I guess. Why missing Opel? While not succesful they were present and without them the grid feels like it is lacking. Besides not all drivers start their careers at top teams, just look at Jos Verstappen... great driver but was really an underdog with his underpowered Orange Arrows in F1.
Hopefully we might see them (the missing pieces) in DLC sometime, but I am not holding my breath.

In any case. After being out of the running (blister galore on my feet due to a bad reaction on anti-biotics) for about a month I can honestly say I can again more objectively look at all the games. Personally I still get the best feedback on pCARS, but it is not yet final in my opinion. Which makes sense as we are not at the fine tuning stage yet, but it will be soon.

I am pretty happy with the game so far. I just haven't played with the AI yet, but that is still being worked on as we speak I believe.

*Removed goodies which are indeed goodies*
Well I guess he could lose your soul if you bet that you're a better simracer and win!

^ looks like the car livery somehow doesn't blend well with the rest of the track. Colors doesnt looks good on car I don't know why. Car looks like a "ghost" or something.

Obviously because there is a pattern on the car which is a bit brighter as the main color. And also the car is full of dirt and the weather is foggy.

Yeah but what I want to say is it doesn't look natural.
Maybe car shadow doesn't take account of fog properly like the rest of the track.

Yes, the car shadow is bugged together with foggy condition since there seem to be a problem with several transparencies blending together.

I'm sure I read somewhere it would be down to game designers to incorporate the wheels into the games. ie all wheels should work if designers do it right. But I may be wrong - anyone :dopey:
Yeah there's conflicting reports about that, if it turns out we could use our wheels on PS4 that would make my decision on a next gen console a lot easier, but i guess the mighty dollar will hold us hostage and force us to upgrade just like on the Xbone.
Anyone has the latest on this?
