I wonder what level @Im_Lukas is at now? He turned 300 when I was 80 something awhile ago. I did a bunch of racing in December though.

430ish now, spent a long time in the 300s where I was just tuning cars but since hitting 400 I've been more focused on racing again.

And I'm pretty sure that's the 500 spin, I remember my friend telling me he won the 50 million. I have over 100 spins saved up now, going to use them all at 500.

What's the highest level you've seen? This was my first real week of racing online. I saw a few over 500, but this was only enthusiast division, so I'm sure they go a lot higher.

When I first downloaded that Twitch app the other day, I watched a bit of Raceboy77's channel to see what it was about. He was congratulating someone he was racing against on level 2000. Are there many that high in level? Man, that's a boat load of racing.

Highest I've seen is level 1250, he spends most of his time in rivals but occasionally comes to race with us online. IIRC he owns every car, has hit the credit cap and has some 200+ spins piled up so levelling up is mostly meaningless to him now.

If someone's already hit level 2000 that's mighty impressive, I'm just hoping to hit 1000 one day.

So I decided to buy an xbox one and forza 6 about a week ago, I played forza 4 and loved it. And I'm also a big gt fan aswell. I've always been more of playstation fan, but maybe it's me getting older but I'm sick of console snobbery, so I now own both and I'm happy with both. They both have their good a bad points.
Anyway I'm really enjoying forza 6, great game with a great car and track list....apart from 2 tracks, Rio and Prague. Why other great tracks like sunset and maple valley were sacrificed for these 2 arcade style tracks I'll never know. But that's just my opinion!
But over all its a great game and much better than forza 4.

Once you get to know Rio and Prague, they are actually fun tracks and they "flow" nicely, if that makes any sense.. I really enjoy Prague. The only track I don't care for is long beach. I hate that track, except for that one variation of it where it's just a tiny circle, that's kind of fun, but your constantly surrounded by cars in that one. Yas Marina I'm still undecided on. It definitely shouldn't be a multiplayer track, between the constant wrecks and major corner cutting on it.

They both just feel to arcade like for me, I'm just not a fan of those type of tracks, especially along side all the great real world tracks that are in the game! I wouldn't be a big fan of long beach either, mainly because the ai seem to be complete nutters on it every time I race on it

I got my Ferrari 312P, so I went back to the Can-Am challenge to start working on my next 312P. Raced the Lola for a while and generally finished back of the pack. Switched to the Nissan and was top three the rest of the night including two second place finishes and a win at Sebring West in the rain. Now I'm up to about 29th percentile, so I should be good.

Interesting comment, if the game physics are the same through-out why would a track feel more arcade than another. True, it may not be a IRL venue but why arcade - arcade is usually used in reference to unrealistic physics.
If you picked a real city venue like say Paris, London, or New York and modeled the IRL objects that are everywhere in those vibrant cities would those be arcade versions.
Just a discussion...

I can never seem to get into the leagues to win the Ferrari. Rivals and downloading liveries etc work fine, just not the leagues. Probably just my internet connection.

I hope it becomes available outside of the league. If I had to do something else to win it that would be fine.

I'll try to field this one since I largely feel the same way. @sepulturite81 please feel free to jump in too!

It's a combination of factors for both tracks. Neither of them feel like they could be real tracks, and I think that's what the meaning here is. A fantasy track is fine by me, as long as it feels like a race track, which neither of these do.

That said, let me break it down by track:

Prague
First of all, this track feels super inauthentic. It's like 6 lanes wide the whole way, which, if you've ever even seen pictures of Prague, is totally unrealistic. It should probably be less than half as wide as it is to even come close to how those roads should feel.

Second, this is a track that would never pass scrutiny for any real racing in 2015. It goes through a tunnel with unprotected stonework struts, it goes over a cobblestone(!)* bridge that is lined with unprotected statues(!) with no catch fencing(!), and it crosses tram lines* which would cut tires and damage suspension like no-one's business. Add in the cliff on the outside of one of the fastest corners, which is covered by a standard wood-and-girder barrier, and there is no way a race would ever be put on here.

All of that adds up to that every time I drive this track, I am reminded I am playing a game. It totally breaks immersion with the plethora of unrealistic and inaccurate features. I'd rather not have it at all than have it in the state it's in now.

Rio
Disclaimer: I actually like the Rio National layout.

Most of the same problems as Prague, actually. This one at least isn't outrageously wide, but it's still probably wider than it should be. Anyways, first of all, the tunnel has exposed steel grate covers, which sure, could be welded down, but I still feel like those wouldn't be allowed; additionally, there are zero locations for safety crews or marshals to be located inside of it, making it a deathtrap considering the speeds you go through it at.

Second, again this track crosses tram lines, which are a huge safety hazard and wouldn't be allowed* on a real circuit. It also has a section on cobblestone*. This is only a problem with the Full layout, but it's a big one.

Third, the downhill straight (again on the Full layout) has a wooden fence protecting it from a sheer cliff. No catch fencing, no ARMCO, nothing. A. Wooden. Fence. On the outside of a fairly fast corner, then all the way down a straight. Seems legit. The fact that the track runs next to a sheer cliff at all seems pretty suspect, but that....yeah.

Finally, the final tight right hand corner seems pretty not acceptable to me. There's a solid curb up to whatever surface that corner is on, and yeah, they have the little portion of it that has the ramp, but...I really doubt this would get approved by any series. They'd make the organizers either run the ramp all the way to the wall (at the very least) or flatten the whole thing out to level. Either way, there wouldn't be races held with that corner as it exists in the game.

Most of these issues are only with the full track, and saying all that I do actually like the National one, but even that is not super realistic-seeming to me. In general it has the same issue as Prague, in that it constantly reminds me I'm playing a game because no real race would even possible happen there. They feel like the sort of track you'd find in an arcade game, because they don't feel like race tracks- they feel arcade-y.

Hopefully this helps explain things a little better!

*- I will happily remove these from my list of problems if someone can provide evidence of modern races being run over cobblestone or tram lines, but I can't think of any, and it seems like a really bad idea to me intuitively.

I love Rio. I know early on its hard because you're almost pinballing btw. walls but once you're "in the zone" the track is addictive. I love the color, the planes landing, the fireworks and the carnival atmosphere. It is like a Horizon 2 party track or Sega Daytona track with the tunnels and tyrewalls.

I can even do Indy and F1 cars on it.

Prague I dont mind, the wider tracks makes it much easier but I dislike the Eastern European aesthetic. You can showboat on it doing big powerslides.

Long Beach I have learned to like. I know many people will never like it but once you get to know it and play its strengths it makes for great races.

You learn it, you keep away from the dolphin fountain, for a street circuit it has a fair few overtaking zones.

Yas. Nah I can do without this one. Thing is its obvious Turn 10 love this one for some reason. Its a weird feeling track, 90 degree corners and some max power straights.

The other day I was racing long beach, the short version, and one of the AI got its Mercedes high centered on the top of the fountain on the first lap. It stayed up there the rest of the race, it couldn't get off.

Ive seen a LOT of that. Cars that spin out backwards into the dolphins or SUV trying to drive over the top.

I stopped my car, watched the idiot AI spinning all 4 wheels then drove on.

I also like the look and lighting of Long Beach. It feels like California and I remember watching Indycars on it decades ago... when you watched real races on a certain tracks, they grow on you.

I wasn't excited back when it was announced. I guess I've watched too many boring races taking place there and that sandy, white, and light blue color combination makes the atmosphere a bit stale. Forcing myself to lap it in FM6 has made me appreciate it more though. The straights leading into tight technical sections create a nice flow after a few laps. I can almost say the same for COTA, which I prefer by some distance.

I always felt the same way about these two tracks, as well as Bernese Alps, that place would be an absolute death trap in real life. Having a tiny wire fence on the outside of a fast downhill sweeping corner, with looks to be 60 or so foot vertical drop on the other side? Yeah, nah, no thanks. I like the layouts of Rio and Prague, but as you said, they're so incredibly unrealistic.

Yas and Long Beach are easily my least favourite tracks in the game. While full Rio is a little too silly, it at least has some redeeming qualities. Yas is the beige, base-model Nissan Versa of the track roster.

As @HighSeasHoMastr said, Rio National is actually a great layout. Lots of fun there, especially with the 70's F1 cars.

...

I did 9 spins last night (still have 29 left). Ended back up around 10 million credits. Since running B Class at Lime Rock is expensive (DBR1, 250 GTO, Cobra Daytona), I felt a little uncomfortable dipping below the 5 million mark.

Yas Night I can stand simply because it LOOKS like Yas F1 on TV. I dont mind the bright neons and the Arab Money theme buildings. And there are some sections where you can powerslide and drive like a spaz through and corner cut the AI.

There's nothing good about COTA. Its like a long technical circuit built under guidance by the FIA and Herman Tilke.

I hate Yas Marina simply because it's like some kind of open world playground (they have Horizon for that :P), so many of the idiots online just cut every corner possible which is annoying enough but when they rejoin the track they just plow straight in to you. In fact to give you an idea of how stupid the track is online, I ran some rivals laps in the stock Maserati MC12 on the full circuit, my fastest clean no-shortcutting lap was a 2:19.0 (from 8 laps), my 2nd lap shortcutting I achieved a 2:11.5 (and I think I found another shortcut just after), because of all these shortcuts a poor driver can pull off the lap times of a great driver which IMO is just unacceptable.

If there was a solution to stop the cutting then I'd like it, I was able to do some racing in a private lobby where no one cut the corners and it was great fun, some awesome overtakes made in places you wouldn't expect and it really separated the great from the good.

COTA I actually quite like, it's very technical but there is still plenty of chances to overtake if you can plan your move a few corners ahead. In fact I think getting a good run through that first sector is one of the best feelings in this game.

Prague is one of my favourites even if it doesn't feel very realistic at all as a track, I just love the higher speed turns where to get a good lap you have to use every inch of track, right up to the wall, although this generally makes it a harder track to overtake on. This is the same reason I like Rio but in some places I think the bumps are a bit excessive for racing on.

Random thought after driving around on PCars with some tracks that aren't in FM6...

The old Hockemheim track is very boring.

Long straight to large chicane, then another long straight to tiny chicane then wide right turn, long straight to large chicane, short straight to right/left/right turns, short straight to wide right turn.

In a 3 minute lap I spent over 2 minutes only half paying attention, the long straights were about a minute each. No noticeable elevation changes and no difficult corners.

Love the modern GP course though.

+edit
With the expansion packs PCARS has 32 locations against FM6s 28.

I loved the old Hockenheim in PSONE F1. It was like Le Mans but, shorter.

I ran just one race in rivals today. It was another Can-Am race. I was in the Nissan at Long Beach and I actually won. It's my first win on a dry track. I'm especially pleased because I don't consider Long Beach to be one of my better tracks.

Realistic or not, Rio is one of my favorite tracks, probably my favorite fantasy track ever. There are narrow and bumpy sections that I love, it has proper elevation change and it just looks so good.

It might suck for racing, but I don't care about that. I like hotlapping :D

I also really like rio.
technical and fun. and beautiful.

also, about the short-cutters, t10 they had this solved since forza 1 with sticky grass.
but the community wanted sticky grass to go and it ..went.
if someone has a better solution to track cutting that sticky grass, please write it down.

In an online context I would favour the codemasters auto slow down, so you go off track as in a full corner cut and you get a 3-5 sec power reduction, that would stop 'em. Its rather simple.
Where its annoying is off line so if your just hot lapping and pushing limits and you go off its a bit rubbish to suddenly hit sticky grass or have engine cut in power, so just for online play...

ok but 5 sec power reduction is not far off from sticky grass though, is it? ;)
