-> Hmm...none of them says "GT5" though. Will that be a souped up version of GT5P demo? :indiff:

None of the New Gran Turismo PSP Trailers/Pictures have any PSP Branding on them, Maybe it's their new approach to marketing the Gran Turismo Brand. It's just Gran Turismo, The new GT5 Images point to a Special Gamescon Show Version. I think this is it.

Yeah, they prob won't want to show full game, that'll be for TGS.

I don't think interior is the right word in the translation, rather it should be 'internal'. As in, most cars are modelled as skins but the premium models are modelled with accurate internal parts and damage modelling applied accordingly. i.e. the next time someone shunts you into the sand at Suzuka they're going to lose a radiator.

Interesting way of looking at it, certainly sounds like something which would be very easily lost in translation.
I was certainly reading it as meaning those 170 cars would show damage on the inside (so say you roll it, you would see the broken windscreen, dented roof etc from in car), but now I'm not so sure...

Roll on TGC and some more information!

Seems fairly obvious that it's meant to mean only 170 cars would have visible internal damage seen in cockpit view, but all cars would get some type of exterior real time damage

Just a quick one, im a bit confused over here now.

So only 170 cars will have interior view (cockpit view)??

and the rest of the 830 will be like gt4 with the bumper cam??

Chris

we don't know the details about that yet chris. Something was posted on the GT website that seemed to suggest that, but the translation was sketchy. It could have meant "interior damage" or "interiors and damage".

It might be a quick update from an employee who wants to give a bit of early news on the sly, maybe it means they have just completed making another 170 cars with their interiors and damage. The other cars could have been made the same way, again no solid info so just speculation here again.

the only way i interpret it is to mean only 170 cars have interior views which will show visible damage, every car will have cockpit views, but only 170 wil have the cockpit view which shows damage.

can't see how it could mean any other thing

It was definitely an official press release. LOTS of info. Just posted too early for what's happening at gamescom.

I interpret it differently. There's a few different translations, and I think we will have only 170 cars with the interior and damage. We still don't know though.

every car in GT5P had a cockpit view...and you believe that in the 4/5 years they spent on this, that they hadn't managed to atleast do a cockpit view for each car. come on

Has anyone thought to check if the racing booths have playstation eyes attached?

As this is a major new feature, the booths would need to have them?

If they do, that would confirm that a version of full GT5 will be playable.
If not, its either GT5p, or they're not going to announce the head tracking officially until the TGS.

Sadly, yes, I believe that. :guilty: I'm still holding out for some official news though...

you know, out of that list that was posted and now gone, the one thing i was looking for but didn't see - night cycles and weather effects. Oh well, life goes on. Its still gonna be a kick ass game

duble post but what the hell "GT5 video is capturing right now. Should be up in about 45 minutes. Then Fifa. Then NFS: Shift." user Blimblim form neogaf

I'm believing the theory that gamescon was meant to be all about the numbers, and all the info that got pulled from the press conference would have matched that on PD's website.
I expected this to follow with many 'cool new features' to be unveiled in Tokyo, including weather, porsches, eye tracking etc.

on a gaming forum i visit, when i saw the news the first thing i picked out was the headtracking.

sounds like such an amazing feature depending on how its implemented
