I've really improved with a dfgt since i've only had it a few days, I am now as quick with the wheel as I am with ds3. My best DFGT time is as follows:

LMP787B/Ld_headshot
1:39.093
Manual
DFGT
ABS on 1

Its very good to be that good in such short time:)

Thanks, 2 days ago I managed a 1:42 with the wheel, now I feel a lot more in control than before and with a ds3, do you use a wheel?

H'okay. Will add it to the board.

Just my 2 cents, but i think only your best single time should go in to the overall leaderboard, otherwise we may end up with a couple of drivers in the top 10 twice forcing other drivers out. which would not be fair :)

I use my wheel in fast cars as x2010 and fgt. I am learning to use it in tailhappy cars but it gets me when I am faster with DS3 and when I spin out in situations I wouldnt do with DS3.
But I am getting there:)

Yeah same couldn't stop spinning the jag with dfgt but really beginning to improve and become smoother. Was gonna continue using ds3 for this week, but I just love my wheel so much.

Also the next event begins on sunday! :)

Well, I managed to crack 1.38, I'm fairly sure I could take off another half second if I could string together my best sector times and nail the chicane, I'm a little tired of ruining good laps at that point though :)

Driver: mizx/zu3-
Time:1:37.930
Transmission: Manual
Controller: DS3
ABS:1

I noticed that some people were putting in some very good times and others were catching up to mine, so I got worried and went back to improve. It's no world class standard like Dan Hollands or Timpaq's, but I'm happy with it and getting into the 36's. Really reaching my personal limits with a DS3 now though.

Lewis_Hamilton_/Lewis_Hamilton_
DS3
Manual
ABS: 1
1:36.780

Great laps everybody some really impressive times coming in, congratulations everybody on another great week of racing so far 👍

I looked but couldn't find it:
Is Grip Reduction up to the driver or set to "Real"?

I just assumed "Real." Perhaps that's the difference between my times and others?

I'm sick so I have the time to try this again, but I don't expect to crack my best time for said reason.

I thought I was good. I often crack the 256 mark on the TTs and can sometimes get to the 40s. Then I see where I place on these challenges. I have a l o n g way to go. Thank you everyone for the competition.

The grip reduction is down to you :) I think mine is set to low but i'll have to check. Hope you are enjoying the competition and continue to do so in further weeks to come. Good luck on your lap times 👍

I had it set to Real for the first session I put in and was lapping in the 1.39s, I did spin taking liberties on the rumble strips a few times. I left it on Low subsequently, but my laps were tidier, so it's difficult to say if it made any difference.

I need to run more laps and improve my time :P
Try setting a time on Mediums or Softs and chasing that, I found it quite effective.

I posted it awhile back.. :P

Your best is 1:38.998, wow it's tight I am currently 0.005 seconds ahead of you but I'm sure you will beat that by the end of this weeks comp. Good luck 👍

Good idea, might try that tomorow!

Decided to run this again after being knocked off third place. Now it is a true 3rd place time unless I get beaten again.

Driver: saidur_ali/saidur
Time: 1:36.427
Transmission: Manual (No clutch)
Controller: Wheel (G27)
ABS: 1

I have grip reduction set to "Real". It really doesn't make much of a difference in the dry unless you go on the grass so shouldn't be much of a problem.

After a few hours I finally improved my time.

Ronald6 / Ronald657
1:39.128
Auto
DS3
Grip: Low
Abs: 1
BB: 4/1

Almost .5 better than my best previous time. Subtly is the key word here. Knowing which corner to sacrifice and how much. This track has great flow.

Well done on improving 👍.

Dan I noticed your video of the 1:35.845 time had like strange multiple lap time entries on the right hand side further into the video. Is it some 3D effect or am I missing something?

Wouldn't have a clue, I also noticed that aswell, maybe it's because it's a 3 lap replay and the recording commenced on the 3rd lap. BTW my second lap was a 1'35.955 so by the start of the 3rd I had great rhythm;)

I guess you can't be much away before you are at the bottom of the list :-)
As I'm now. Two days ago I was at 13th, now I'm at 18th!
Great times guys :-)
I'll be home in a few hours and try to get under 1:39.
At what time do the challenge end?

About 9 o'clock GMT on sunday by that time I will post week 3 thread. Good luck getting under 1:39 👍

It is strange for sure, maybe the game thought you were from outer space . I noticed that too, good consistency with no ABS. If you don't mind, is it possible if you could post your sector times. I know how and where I'm losing time but will be good to quantify it compared to your run. Will not be running this again unless I get taken off third spot though so it is for curiosity reasons.

This combo sure tests skill with the bumps that test the car and driver as well as lack of reference points compared to other tracks although I've found some in the end. Trying to defeat understeer through good weight transfer is probably the hardest part and you do extremely well in that part. I need to improve car control, especially the part where you can rotate the car mid corner perfectly with the use of brakes throttle and steering. Hopefully I will get there one day, I was using the stock 5/5 brake bias settings so that probably didn't help but there is always the handbrake button to help me ;).

Improved my previous time yesterday.

Driver: TagCloud/TagCloud86
Time: 1'37.211
Transmission: Manual (No clutch)
Controller: Wheel (DFGT)
ABS: 1 (5/5 B.B)

Thanks and splits were:-

19.214
29.598
25.009

Getting anything sub 49.000 at T2 is what you should be aiming for. Here I was at a T2 48.812.

Wow they are very good sector times! I seem to be about 0.7 seconds off your times at each sector. 👍
