Hey Hey guys,

Sorry i've been quiet for today! Had my first day at my new part time job lol.

However, I have added/ updated all the times from today and OMG is it tight...

there is just 1 second separating 4th through to 13th! The fight for the overall top 10 is going to be a tough one this week!

If your lap time is between 1:38.087 and 1:39.111 then I'd recommend trying to squeeze just a couple of tenths more out of the car to try and secure that top 10 spot!

We're only half way through the week so there's still plenty of time to push that jag to the ragged edge! c'mon! make me proud! ;)

Here's some inspiration:

Sorry for asking, I wish to participate but:
1) can I turn off ABS if I want to ?
2) Sport hard max, therefore can I use Comforts?
3) Oil change allowed?

Answers:

1) Yes, if you wish, state it in your time post
2) You can use comforts, but it would be a bit redundant as this is a time trial...
3) It is the Arcade mode car, so it already has oil change etc applied.

You are NOT to use a car from your own garage 👍

Cracking picture! Absolutely love it, keep the pictures coming I say! Gonna have to find some time with my ds3 tomorow to hopefully gain a few places!

It´s very close indeed :)
Seems I´m a bit stuck right now.
Been putting in some laps tonight, and got a quite a few in low 1.39´s
I´doing first sector ok, at 19.7 to 19.9. But I´m loosing time in sector 2 and 3. Last sector I gain again, but never enough to come under 1:39 :irked:

Will try again tomorrow.

Hi hotlappers.

Just like to wish you all well at Trial Mountain Circuit.

I've posted a thread about the track ...insert link

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=247445

If you can add any tips or thoughts about the track please drop the thread a line - I guess most have you will have learnt faster lines over the last few days.

I doubt anything I've put on there will help you get any more speed out of the track. But maybe something you write will help others to go faster at Trial Mountain in the future.

Happy driving, and please, don't feed the monkey or the plesiosaur. It takes hours to clean the track up.

Only had time for about 5 laps

Driver: EF-MattyB/EF-MattyB
Time: 1:40.612
Transmission: Manual
Controller: DFGT
ABS: 1

Few more laps last night netted me a better time
Driver: EF-MattyB/EF-MattyB
Time: 1:39.412

Nice one I can't seem to get under 1:41 with my new wheel. What setting do you use your wheel on? I can't fight oversteer quick enough it seems with a wheel although i'm sure I'll pick it up soon :)

Driver: TP3/ThickPants3
Time: 1:38.023
Transmission: Manual
Controller: DS3
ABS: 1

Note: The 1:38.255 is not this lap, it was my previous fast lap. If you watch the beginning of the video, I click on (and play) the 1:38.023 lap.

I love this lol.

The plesiosaur has been there since the track's first GT appearance, but I don't know about the fisherman and the monkey, they seem new to me...

Also, have added a tip to your thread. Great idea. Perhaps you could talk with LMP787B to find out our next track? We can then, at the end of the week, give you our tips for that and you could do an amazing write up like you have done here?

Hey, I managed a 1'36.083 earlier today.

Driver: GTP_DHolland
Controller: G27
Aids: None (No ABS)
B/B: 5/1

Good egg.

Whoa that is an impressive lap, will try that brake balance later!

Hmm... Laguna you say... not my favourite track, but excited to give it a whirl. Hopefully a car with a bit less of a happy tail lol

Is Altering Brake balance considered tuning? IF it is allowed, then here come sub 1:35 times.

No cause it can be changed via ra menu on wheels.

Driver: FrontalSystem/GTP_DHolland
Time: 1'35.845
Transmission: Manual (No clutch)
Controller: Wheel (G27)
ABS: Off (4/2 B.B)

Lap was clean and atleast 2 wheels were inside the red and white rumble strips at all times, not that this is a requirement, just as ABS off isn't.

Video Replay, displaying 3 different perspectives, quality is not unbelievable:-

GTP_DHolland I 've seen that name somewhere!

Great lap how was your car not oversteering and sliding everywhere?

GT Academy finalist 2010:tup:

The second perspective in the video replay I uploaded illustartes how I was able to cope with the oversteer, no wild corrections, just slight countersteering when the car is just on the verge of stepping out, obviously requires good rhythm to know how the car will react. Compiled about 2 hours worth at the mountain so far, no ABS is the best way to understand the cars mechanics.

Well anyway great lap 👍 will have to try abs off with my dfgt tomorow, been using ds3 to fight all the oversteer and sliding, but anyway massive congratulations on the lap!

Not going to try this again, flying tomorrow to Krabi for a little holiday.. :D

.7-.8 was possible for me but would have required another session with a fresh mind. Good job again though for pretty much maxing out the combo.

It is also apparent that you know exactly how far you can cut those corners without getting a red time. I'm being far too timid!

Yeah same here especially the first and last corner probably could gain a few tenths by cutting them a bit more.

Awesome stuff. Will upload times tomorrow morning. sorry i haven't had a chance to do them today!
