Has anybody got a replay of the Monaco race?
If anybody could upload one somewhere that would be cool thanks.

I am getting a 40sec penalty apparantley and just want to review the incindent before official results are posted.

If i don't agree with the penalty after i have watched it i will be pulling out of the series, and you can ammend the results before you make them official.

Thanks.

I will qualify as normal for this race but I might not be able to make it on Friday; I'm at a seminar in London all day for work so I'm not sure when I'll be back home, might be on time or might not - I'll try to get a message onto the forum to let you guys know before the race anyway as to whether I'll be there or not. :)

I'm also then away for the weekend, racing at Whilton Mill on Sat/Sun, so I won't be of much use to talk about steward decisions etc. - (you could follow my karting on facebook btw? :P - http://www.facebook.com/pages/Blue-Lizard-Racing/182588498446307)

i'm now fan of blue lizard

I would like to see it myself. Messed up on a turn and would like to see what I did there.

Aware of what happen, just self filling to see it yourself.

Apollo, if I can get a copy of it, I can record what you are wanting and post it.........considering you cant get a copy. As well, you do get the option of dropping two races from your season. I maybe using one for this track myself. IDK Low turn out still paid points. I for one would hate to see you leave.

Are the replays still region specific?

Also want to note that points standings are not reflecting the corrected points we discussed last week for me. I should be at 88. The error is only one completed race.

I have completed every one this season.

I understand that if you recieve a penalty, it gets pretty annoying not beeing able to watch the replay. I suggest that all drivers save the replay. You only need to keep it for a day or two. If you're worried about it taking space, you can just delete it as soon as the result for that race is official.

4 out of 5 penalties from Monaco given is related to "causing avoidable damage". As far as that rule goes, there is not much someone can argue against. Causeing avoidable damage is "causing avoidable damage" no matter how silly it might look. I got a 40 second penalty during the Laguna Seca race from a tiny touch. But it did cause damage, and that is all that needs to be done to recieve the 40 second penalty. Only reason why someone should not recieve a penalty for causing damage is when it's NOT avoidable. ALL other cases of reported/noticed damge willl end up with a 40 second penalty. No matter how silly it might look.

In all cases, the errant driver is not under pressure from a third part. It's all cases of 1 vs 1's. And a mistake is done.

Example: During the Suzuka race, Paginas, C-Falcon89 and JPzer was involved in an incident. C-Falcon89 got hit from behind by JPzer and bumped in to Paginas causing damage. But C-Falcon89 did ofc not recieve a penalty for "causing avoidable damage" since he could'nt do anything about it. JPzer got a Warning for agressive driving since his bump in to C-Falcon89 did not cause any damage. This is a clear case of unavoidable damage. However, as long as the driver from behind is not under pressure from a third part, and causes damage to the car in front due to aggressive driving, missed braking spot, bad tyres or whatever a 40 second penalty will be handed out. I know that it can be really frustrating to recieve a penalty (been there, done that), but we need to be strict with the penalties, and will be strict with the penalties also in the future.

I believe EU and US replays don't work with the opposite disc.

Please, everyone just save your replay after the race. It should be automatic, everyone should be doing it. Just save it over last weeks, they're usually less than 100MB.

We already have issues with replays not agreeing with each other. Your replay shows what YOU saw in the race, it's not necessarily the same as what everyone else saw. In my replay, I saw Kamy crash into me this week. But on his and Moleman's replays it was shown differently, and proven to be a lag effect that my system didn't deal with well. Had mine been the only replay available, the judgement might have been different, and it would have been very, very wrong.

If you touch anybody or anything during the race, your first thought afterwards should be to save the replay.

Quali for round 4 is starting today.

I am not able to host a session today (maybe another steward can).

I'll host a session tomorrow (Tuesday) between 16.00 - 20.00 pm (GMT).

If i touch someone and they get damage i automatically get a 40sec penalty.
I don't agree with that.
I do my utmost to avoid hitting people in every race i race in.

Also the way the situation was handled wasn't nice either.
Why is the steward involved in the incident pm'ing me about it?
I thought they were suppose to be removed from the process.
Also being informed and asked for my view on what happened after the stewards have made there decision isn't fair either.

Also you make a reference in your post about the driver behind missing his braking spot and hitting the driver in front.
But there is a case for the driver in front braking earlier than he has done before and brake checking the driver behind.
I am not saying this is what happened in my incident.
But that is why i want to watch the replay,to check braking points for a number of laps.
If the driver in front brakes earlier than he has done all race then he has obviously made a mistake and needs to brake early catching the driver behind off gaurd.

I don't want to have this out in the open and sound ungrateful because i do appreciate the time everybody is putting into this:), its time consuming enough for me just finding time to race.

Thanks.

If i touch someone and they get damage i automatically get a 40sec penalty.
I fully support penalties for rear-end collisions unless caused by lag. To me rear ending someone is the worst offense imaginable, intentional or not. Side by side incidents can be more complicated, though.

Why is the steward involved in the incident pm'ing me about it? I thought they were suppose to be removed from the process.
I would like to see this publicly addressed by the stewards. If the stewards are in fact breaking their own rules it undermines the credibility of the whole process.

It's ok XsApollo. About your situation. It was me and Nycrom who judged the incident. I said to Paginas that he should inform you about the incident. And I was waiting for your reply. But it did not come to my or nycrom's knowledge in due time. So the incident was judged by the replays we got. And I must say that the incident was a clear case of causing avoidable damage. I hear you about it beeing anoying to get a penalty for a tiny touch (in your case, the touch was not "tiny") resulting to damage. That is exactly what happened to me during the Laguna Seca race. But I did cause damage, and I also need to accept the rules.

Reason why we judge damage strict is because we want the racing as clean as possible. We also aim to make the judging as easy as possible to make sure we judge all situations where damage is done in the same way. In that case, we don't get discussions like "why did I get X penalty and him only got Y penalty, but the situation was exactly the same".. Hope you understand my point. 👍

Yes i understand.
But i really just want to see the incident myself as all i have to go by is memory.
I think i am getting a replay later.
If i am wrong i will hold my hands up no problem.

Thanks for your time in this.

Ok thanks for the replay Nycrom.

Punishment accepted.

Keep up the good work.

Allthough thats the wrong way to brake for that corner.
:P

I'll just put this here >_>

Also, did anyone qualify tonight or are most doing it tomorrow and wednesday?

Quality is rubbish, I know.

PM "Denilson" for sign-ups" :)

I'll wait for your PM. I need you to answer a few questions. 👍

Are you sure you're on Nurburgring GP/D, or am I on the wrong track? I've gotten mine down ~1:33's and I'm in a GT300.

Yes the US switched to daylight savings time (summer time) this past weekend.

I think the time here in the US is called Golfers Time. The change buys another hour of daylight. This allows those big wig golfers and hour more of light on the course after work.

:) My theory.

I am ready to go racing!!!!

Quali room will be up within 40 minutes.

NOTE: About the official start times for race, quali, practice and so on.. Use the GMT timezone, that will always be the correct time. 👍
