Finding this a little tough. I managed only 140.5 on Thursday with everything off, I had to turn ABS up 1 as it was frustrating the hell out of me. After 2,3 laps I'm only 1 second away from gold.
This car is a wriggly so and so under breaking and really snaps back if you over correct even a little.

Yes this one's a doozy...
...fastest aliens on my LB who do no SRF/no aids/0 ABS still hadn't hit gold as of last night.

The damn B/B is set to 5/5 so setting the car up properly for turn-in is a pain.
Gonna have to figure out how to adapt and improvise for this one.

Good luck to all you assist free guys, you'll need it :ouch:

You're damn right about that I need more than a luck to gold this one:odd: Spent good 2 hours on it still about 3 tenths short, done only 4 or 5 clean laps (maybe 130 redlap&restarts).lol

The brake balance of 5/5 is ridiculous. For non-ABS'ers finding a good BB is crucial otherwise it would not work (or not worth doing)...

But even for a top alien like CRANK to be only half a second clear of gold made me feel relieved somewhat. Perhaps I should be just happy with silver:grumpy:

my goal reached under 1:36 that will do me did get low 1:35 but red lapped by placing a wheel out too far on last chicane, leave this one to the talent good luck

Thanks bud! I've always used L2 for braking so i think it came in handy for this one. Hard on the brakes in high gear and gentle in low gear.

Yea, had another go using that method and actually got within a few tenths of my ABS time, if the sprogs didn't wake up I probably would have nicked under it, will have another go tonight if I'm still feeling sadistic enough 👍

You'd slash that time by seconds with abs1 though.

When i saw this event-combo ( Ferrari + Monza ) i was more than happy then after few laps i was like... :irked:.

Then i started to slide into the 'rage zone', and repeated in front of my TV: Really? Really? :ouch:

Don't take me wrong, i'm always up for challenging cars and supercars beast... but this is just crap. ( i'm driving with all AIDS off except ABS + DS3 ).

When i'll find my 'interior peace' again, i'll try to Gold this event too.

Even if I don't love supercars I'm finding this a great challenge! It's amazing how fast things change while braking with this car, you push the pedal trying not to block the wheels and suddenly you find yourself striving to keep the car straight and far from the grass... Because whenever you touch the grass with a single wheel due to some braking change of direction you hit the wall without any chance to survive neither for the car nor for you...

Anyway I started lapping yesterday and I think I'll focus on this red hell till registry ends

I was able to get 1:35.6, currently 686th. I stepped on the brakes early for the first chicane, in order to take it quickly. The rest was a matter of keeping the car in bounds. It did take me a while to do it, but it was pretty satisfying to get ahead of @Mini Stiggy.

Hmmm that's interesting. How do you apply throttle and brake at the same time? Unless you use R2 for throttle and right stick down as brakes:confused:

When I used the DS3, I only used the right stick. The triggers were my shift up shift down buttons.

Wow, so you were effectively a one foot throttle/brake guy more or less?? Amazing you were still so quick despite there must have been a moment of throttle to brake transition on every corner entries. Do you still drive like that or are you now a two pedaler?

This is how I have always done it as well (right stick). Is there a better way? I guess I never considered driving "with both feet".

You use the triggers? I've always used the right stick since the DS3 triggers are awful in my opinion.
Only for the brake. I bought them gioteck triggers that clip on to your DS3. Gives me i little bit more control but not much. I prefer bashing the X to control acceleration as i watched a japanese guy called samurai do it that way so i thought i'd copy him lol. God knows how you manage to use the right stick for acceleration and brake. Takes some skill to that while using MT at the same time.

I use L2/R2 Brake/Acc, with the right stick as a quick shift (flick with the right thumb).
I tried the right stick as acc/brake and could not get on with it. I need to do the occasional brake dab etc.

Give it a try!
