I have One but she has engine upgrade :(

EDIT: Ouppppssssss, sorry guys, this is Litchi.

I'm lost with the accounts lol.

.:Announcement 1 - Litchi:.

Masi has been absent for a long time. After a meeting, we decided to reorganize and restructure the WSGTC.

The first thing was to update the Staff. You can see it now here.

And I just updated the schedule and the final car specs.

Dom (CSLACR) is working on developing new rules and changes to some rules already in place. We will communicate you as soon as possible.

Nevertheless, given the current situation, we are not possible to start the season this week. Dave (twistedfirework) is now planning another pre-season race.

.:Very Important Details:.

You are not allowed to enter the tuning screen after PP/HP/WT checks are finished.
You are not allowed to enter the tuning screen in-between races.
In sprint races, you must make one mandatory pit stop, it cannot be on the first (formation) or last lap.
During formation lap, trying to warm-up your tires is disallowed.
During formation lap, no passing until you cross the Start/Finish line.

.:Personal Report:.

I've received PM's from some of you. I've checked the NTSC GT500 sprint race and I participated in the NTSC GT300 races. The only thing I can say for now is "Drive Cool". Don't be aggressive on the track (and on the forum).

And, finally, I'd like to thank you Edward, Dom, Dave, Àlex, Geoff and Dennis.
Best regards

.: Drivers Briefing (Read! Read! Read!) :.
Welcome to WSGTC newbies! I'll keep this brief and in simple English. Race clean, disciplined, and respectful around your fellow competitors! Fast but incompetent drivers need not apply - rather have slow and clean! Read the Racing Code 685 times (Click Here!).

You must follow the Car Specs and Regulations pictured below (TBA)! Not following specs will result in an immediate Disqualification.

While inside the race lobby, do not use the 'CHAT' feature while Stewards are sending out instructions for pre-race checks. If you have questions, go ask them NOW! Otherwise, read the OP. We will be using a special pre-race qualifying that is listed below - Read it! Thank you for your patience!

.:Spa-Francorchamps Specifics:.

Qualification rules for Spa-Francorchamps will be usual. You have 2 laps to submit your Superlap.

spavu.jpg

  • IMPORTANT NOTE:

[*]Green Flag: Polecar will decide where the start is (somewhere before the startline). He must make sure that ALL cars are clear of the last turn before starting. It's totally up to the pole car, as long as ALL cars behind him are on the straight. He can not start the race if the last car is still in the middle of the last turn. Pole car has right side of track for first right turn.

[*]Make sure to stay on track at ALL times with at least 2 wheels touching white line / Red / White curb. You can not use run offs or tarmac of any kind to gain speed. You will be penalized heavily during the race and disqualified for having a dirty lap in qualifying. Just stay inside the rumble strips and course white lines.

[*]Special Mixed Class Starting Procedure: GT300's will do one lap then line up behind GT500s and wait to roll out.

[*]If you feel insecure of where the track limit is, just join a quali-session during mon-wednesday and ask a steward to do a slow lap with you.

[*]Pit lane. Entry: Go slowly into the pits. Exit: Nothing special about the exit. Just make sure to stay right when you enter the track until you are 100% sure that you will not cause an accident. General: When entering and exiting pits, the white lines are ment to be respected. Yes, you can cross the white line when entering and exiting the pits. But if an incident occur, the driver who crossed the white line (The one on track, or the one who comes out from the pits) will be held responsible, and a penalty will come as a result.

Does anyone have one they could send me?

I'll be online in about half hour for some practice

Cool, Cicua got you. I believe i have 1 though.

Offer stands till 12am pst / 8am gmt. After that i'll be practicing for the qualifier.

Everyone has Spa right? Or have they changed it back to where anyone can play it? I know for the time being anyone can play SSR. X online

Since were having another prerace. I would like to make an offer.

I will have some extra time later on into tomorrow. So I will purchase, break in and send a car to anyone in wsgtc. Premium of course. This is for someone who doesnt have the time but really is going to participate. You can then have a race car and your car you can set up differently (engine mods maybe) to play with.

Limited time offer to first that needs it. Please only ask if your going to race not maybe race.

if anyone doesnt have the spa track, try joining one of the official rooms and ask someone to change the track to spa and see if you can join the track. i think it may be ok in a private lounge.
please let us know asap

Ill be on soon and have the track. If no one in ill set it and someone with out can try. Remember the thing is anyone could be in the room with the track up but if you didnt have the track you cant enter the track but be in the room still. So anyone who doesnt have it try entering the track not just the room.

Oh yea, we really have to know asap asap asap if it works!!

My internet just died, so I'll take that as my subtle hint to get off the PS3 for tonight

Good practice with Johan and others tonight, much learned! I think people are still in WSGTC-PAL-1 if you want to go practice at Spa.

The Garaiya is ok tbh, bang on the pace if you can sort the setup (Thanks Johan... :sly:) - the only thing it is lacking is top speed. It is 2-3mph slower down the Fuji straight than the RX7 and Impreza (the only other 2 cars I tested), and is noticeably slower when in a straight fight - I couldn't actually pass Johan's RX7 down the straight with a slipstream, I could pull alongside but then his superior power would mean I couldn't pull completely in front.

It can be solved by adding a Stage 3 turbo and detuning to 335hp, if people are happy for that to happen? That raises our max speed down the Fuji straight from 153mph up to 155mph, which is identical to the Impreza.

Big thanks to Johan though for helping with some setup work on the Garaiya, much appreciated.

My thoughts on GT300 - Leave them be. They're not perfect, but they're close.
To really go for perfect specs, we'd have to re-vamp and go through the entire lot of them, which frankly, we don't need to (they're very good now) and we don't have time for.

I agree. I was a bit worried about the Garaiya, but now all cars seems to very equal. No need for any adjustments.

The other thing to take into account is that people have selected cars based on the current specs. To change them wouldn't be fair to the people who qualified high and picked first (I picked last btw).

In my veiw its actually to late now to come a cry wolf that their car is not good enough. Why did you then pick it in then first place when there was still other good cars available.

regarding spa, if people dont own the track, maybe it would be a good time to purchase it. this track will be used in the regular season.

EDIT : i have just realised, i have a new psn account which doesnt have spa. i will check it now.
if it doesnt work i will buy it.

My speed tests show the stage 3 engine upgrade is the best fit for the Arta 08,and will be a very nice car in WSGTC 4 💡

I would have picked it over the 03 Arta in this spec.

Litchi....I still think something isn't right with the Garaiya's PP specs in the announcement. I think the "03 and "08 PP got mixed up. ;)

Also I have to say once more that all of you guys organizing the series do a tremendous job!!! 👍

The more I think about it the more I think it will create a mess if we do adjustments to the car specs after people have chosen cars. The Garaiya is not the car with slowest topspeed. If adding topspeed to the Garaiya there are other cars that needs that partical part of a cars performance even more.

The most important thing by far is that the different cars are capable of similar lap times, and they seems to do just that. Then different cars will have different strengths/weaknesses. If compensating a weakness on one car, we then have to compensate another weakness (like acceleration) on another car.

It will get too complicated.

Just my two cents.

Noooooo, don't buy it with your new account man.
You just need to download and install the "course pack family upgrade" on the Store and all will be fine.

I done it for my GTP_Litchi account ;)

Yeah, you can just download that as well as a family pack for the first DLC cars, although you still can't transfer the paints, pretty miffed about that.

What times were you doing at spa Johan?

if anyone doesnt have the spa track, you will need to buy it from the playstation store

And I want to say that if you feel involved in the championship guys, i'm pretty sure that it'll be not a problem for you to give 5$ to Sony for race on this awesome track ;)

.:Announcement:.

One of the most important changes we're now planning to implement in WSGTC is the light damage setting, so please let us know what you think.

We are also considering allowing 1 stint on medium tires for each feature and sprint race.

The deadline for your feedbacks is friday, 26th at 23.59 GMT. After this, we will communicate you a final decision and it will apply for the whole season.

Hmm well I like the heavy damage it punishes mistakes and forces people to focus more, when overtaking ect ect.

For e.g you could slap a wall at monaco get wheel damage for a couple of corners but not lose much time so takes some of the pressure away, where as with heavy damage it gets your heart racing when you even come close to the walls and if you hit them your toast :P.
