I'm pushing very hard at Spa; just warning you guys. After what happened today, I'm really looking for a win, so... :D

I would take/change that picture Paul, if you don't want a slap on the hand by one of the mods here on GTP.

Oh snap, forgot the points change for mixed class. It's 30, then 25. So we are tied. Again!! Crazy!!

Lol.. I forgot to use my medium tires.. That could have helped..:dunce:

I blame it on my concentration on hosting the room properly.:sly:

Great job hosting Red. Don't forget mediums next time.:)

No probs at all with the GT300 guys, except for Byg's lagging. Fortunately, he was giving me much room so i had better chances passing him without getting lag-punted. In the end it got a bit worse and i decided to stay behind him until the race finished to secure the win , but then he went off at some point so i got to pass him safely. As it turned out, dealing with Byg was the highlight of my race.

Full points feels good.:) Especially here which wasn't a good track for me and Red. In Spa we'll be much stronger.

Good race all in all, and good driving from everyone I met. 👍

GT500 overtakes went smooth, and I was surprised how they could overtake almost everywhere on this narrow track, I had expected most of it to happen on the straight. It really adds something to the race when you are battling it out with another gt300 and a gt500 gets in between, love it.

Like yesterday I had minor framerate issues but nothing to worry about.

I am sorry it did not call out ByGGy's lag on the formation lap. You don't jusk ask someone to leave without a very good reason, and I thought it would be just tolerable. But then it caused damage to 3 cars :(. We really need to speak up about such things. It is my fault as much as anyone's.

Just checked that everyone used allowed tyres. No illegalities, quite the opposite - no less than 4 drivers left the mediums cold in the pits! Some may be mistake, but I wonder if there is some strategy in it for some?

Amazing that we are tied again Nepalii  . This time it is just opposite, you get the bonus, I get the weight :dopey:

Next week will be tough, with our pregnant cars we can perhaps stay at the back and be draft partners? :D

Btw where have the car specs gone, with the allowed mods and detune percentages?

The race:

Got lag-punted on first race lap, fortunately no damage, but lost 5 seconds immediately. GV27, Nepalii and Moleman got ahead. Drove a not very good stint 1, thought my chances were out. But I managed to catch up and overtake Moleman, good fight for some laps at end of stint 1.

Later it dawns on me that Nepalii is on a 3-stopper, when I overtake him on lap 26 when he is in pit. That means we have one stop left each, and I am ahead of him now!

But Alex is still far, far ahead, and on 2 stops like me. I pit on lap 34, a bit early, and while I pass the pits on lap 35 I see him sitting in there! I can not believe my eyes, there must have been some accident. And on next lap, 36, I pass both Nepalii and Moleman at their last stop. Early pitting paid off again and I am in the lead, not in the odds after the bad start.

So we are all on last stint, me in front with a small gap. But contrary to last week I am doing last stint on RM's. So this time it is not just a question of time before they catch up :mischievous:. I can actually drive this home. But I am still on a 15-lap stint on RM's so I try to preserve them.

Nepalii rages ahead, puts down best lap time, gets close and almost gets my draft. But it burns his tyres, even though they are 2 laps younger than mine, maybe the Garaiya's are just a bit tough on the tyres? It lets me get away towards the end, and I take it home calmly, and proud! :D

Maybe forcing someone to start the race from the pits instead of leaving. So the pack would be safe for the first turns/laps at least.

I wanted to do 2 runs with hard and the last one in medium for 10 laps max. So I did stop in the 38th lap if I remember correctly, and noticed that I forgot to install the racing medium tires on the Lexus...:banghead:

Great report! At Spa, it looks like we are going to be at the back. If I get top 3 at Spa, I dont know what Im going to do. It wont be a race car anymore. It will be a boat. The ballast did its job at Laguna: slow me down. But no matter what, Im going at it with all I have got and try to claim a victory which will require a miracle.

I am wondering if I can drop out of the series? I don't really stand a chance, not very much fun for me not being anywhere near anyone, I am having very close racing with my series that I'm running which is friday nights, then I have FMSC before races here, so I'm not sure, I would like to drop, and good luck to all 👍 especially NEP, great job winning race 1, not sure how you did tonight but you are one hell of a driver 👍

You can, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Give the ballast system a few weeks to do it's job, run steady and patient, and you'll start having good races pretty soon. ;)
We always get this in pretty much every series, people not doing well at the start quitting, but it doesn't give the ballast system time to kick in.

While you may have read complaints about the ballast system being too harsh, etc, (and it can be disagreeable running around with tons of extra weight, I admit) the first 40KG's on these cars doesn't make a huge difference in race speed, sometimes not even the first 80, depending on the scenario.
Starting next week, and especially the week after, current top runners will start to finish further back*, I guarantee it. ;)

*Except for Tony.

Thanks harrison. Look, drivers are starting to get a lot of ballast making them slower. It is the chance for the slower drivers to climb up. Take that chance. You'll end up fighting for the top places. Well the only one that isnt affected by the ballast is tony. But it doesn't count, he's alien. :D Seriously, give it a try.

I left GT500 not because I wasnt winning. I wasnt winning before  I just wanted to try something new with the 300's and maybe improve some skills. I was getting tired of the 500's. Samething with CSL. Get replays, watch the quicker drivers. Learn their driving lines. Then, as you gain confidence try to push more and more each corner and see what you can get. Believe me, I am WAY quicker now than I was before when I first started racing here. I was a mid pack driver, now I can fight for the lead. 👍 Practice, watch the faster ones, learn.

hey whats up with d2 gt 500 from pal side i dont think point should be given out to that race if there is points given out for it i want to know why?????

What's the problem? The top 16 in each division receive points.
This is the best way to get 16 racing given the current bug problems.
There may be changes yet to the NTSC races tonight.
It wouldn't be right to have a mixed class event with 7+7 in 1 race and 2 cars in another would it?
Time will tell

EDIT : I am not sure if you understand how it works?
The winner of the division 2 race receives the points for 8th place, 2nd gets 9th place overall.
The top 7 places in the points goes to the mixed class race (division 1 )
Hope this clears it up a little 👍

The weight will play a big role in GT300 here sadly theres no way around it Mole, Nep, GV and Cicua will have their work cut out. I think if C-Fal stays in GT300 he could well win here and providing I get a great quali like the pre season I could grab a podium :D.

What changed from this paul.
Come on mate get that podium ;)

Really don't feel like making a report on this race, just horrible from the start. I think I let my bad qualy run get me down and it affected my psyche, as I was just worrying about crashing out, which was what exactly happened. Damaged myself on the first stint, and then again on the first lap of my Mediums stint, so I had to pit again right after back to Hards. There was also quite a few spins in places I should of had nailed down, it just wasn't going right atall. The whole week has been reminiscent of last season's Laguna race, I messed up quali then with some fairly fast times, ended up in D2, but I actually won it then.. But anyway, just want to forget this as quickly as possible. Roll on Spa.

Bit dissapointed in my race. I had the pace for the win, and being At laguna probably the worst track for the supra, I had the chance to beat Tony for the first time ever.
I got bogged down behind the NSX's for the first 8-9 laps and that screwed that lol
Anyway good race by all.

Paul, can you give me details of your router and modem? My connection used to be worse than yours, I couldn't last more than 10 minutes in a GT5 lobby. Then, I upgraded everything and voila, problems gone. Give me name of your router, specs of it, etc...

I would like to apologise to FAK_EV1L for my nudge at the beginning of the race approaching corkscrew. The way draft changes your braking distances caught me out and I hit you sending you off balance which opened a gap for me to overtake. I gave the position back on the next straight since it wasn't a fair overtake (and accidentally let Widowmaker slip by aswell). I hope you didn't get damage.

First stint was quite a disaster as I hit both FAK_EV1L and Widowmaker in the same place getting both front rims bent and had to finish the stint with a really shaky wheel. Couldn't quite find my pace.

Completely lost track of my tyre strategy and in the end I had to pit with only 8 laps left which felt stupid but luckily no-one caught me. Best moment of the race was when I came out with mediums and had a battle with Widowmaker.

No problems with GT300s apart from ByGGy's lag but luckily I didn't get any trouble from it since he was giving plenty of space whenever I came up behind him. Was a bit scary though .

I'm content with 4th place.

Any ideas what we gonna do about the NTSC D2 race tonight?

I came to ask the same. Cause there's only 4 in d2, are we trying to fill those spots? If not are we running same class races?

I would love to run mixed but don't want to leave anyone not racing.

Nice job on the races yesterday!

Paul, Something else along line of what Nep is saying, router can go bad or even start to go bad. 2-4 yrs. sometimes it starts with dropping connection all the time. I'm just throwing this out there. Not saying your router is older or anything. I had one last only a year and a half. Could figure out what was up. After a tech came to check my lines, all he did was said my router was going out. Replaced it and was all good.

I say this only if your connection was good and all of a sudden is bad.
