I hate Laguna, my boggy track strikes again

Lap 1: Wheel comes off the stand

Lap 1: Whilst fixing it what didin't even happen as my stand sucks I get auto pitted so I lose another load of time

Lap 2: Behind pretty much a whole lap

Rest of the race on my own: I am a trooper

Hate Laguna

I am so pee'd

I must apologize for my bad connection tonight..it ruined the race for some people..I do not understand why it was that bad tonight, nothin else was running except the PS3, like every preseason race we did...Even now, I still have half the download/upload speed of a normal day.

You should have told me to quit during the formation lap. Once again, sorry guys..:guilty:

Stretch, biffy, I feel your pain... I drove for most of the race with damage due my own poorness... to Belgium, quickly. Let us forget this mess...

Good races were had, at least in D1 room.

As for my own race... I knew consistence was more important than speed, and I ran my race with this in mind. It all went well until lap 36/49. At that point I only needed to change my tyres and hold until the end. But I had a spin that made me drop from 1st to 3rd. Such bad luck, actually, as the victory was attainable at that point!!

As I said in the room; that ellusive first victory for me escapes yet again. We'll keep fighting, however. Congratulations to Cicua and NEPAL, 1st and 2nd, drove a great race! :)

I'm happy about the result but sad about my non-victory. Considering what I expected from Laguna, this is great, but... when you're so close to winning... :P Ah well, that's racing for you!

Laguna is just too tough!! My car was horrible on worn tires, and my pit strategy wasnt good. Ran out of tires. I had everything to win today, didn't happen :(. 1215kg is just too much on this track :scared: Congrats to Cicua and Tony! 👍

On the other hand, I just checked replay and got fastest lap

Unlucky GV, you had the race in your bag. After I passed by you, I felt I could actually win the race. But cicua did an amazing comeback and took the victory. I closed the gap on him but ran out of tires and decided to hold the car and keep it on track. Stupid ballast.

While it's all fresh in my head:

A bit annoying to have a car lagging all over the place in GT300 Div1, a shame that it caused both myself and Falcon to take damage for the first stint - not much I can do about a car blasting sideways across the track in front of me. I could drive through it (right front suspension damage), but was a struggle in the latter laps of the stint, so had to pit a bit early.

Stints 2 + 3 for me were almost entirely on my own. Made some ok progress considering that the first stint went fairly badly, was running P3/4 - had to make a quick pass on Nepalii to try and push on. Wasn't sure if he was 2 stopping or 3 stopping, so apologies if that pass was a bit aggressive but needed to get past asap incase you were on a 2-stop ;) - Turned out not the case and I think we worked together reasonably well too.

Last stint was also basically on my own, just letting GT500s by every now and then. In the end, to finish ~15secs off the GT300 winner was not a bad result all considered. 4th is a bit of a shame for what I hoped for, but it's one up on where I qualified and means I get less ballast I guess :sly:

GT500 drivers: Mostly superb with respect and passing for GT300 drivers. I hope we gave the same to you too. Only thing to say is that please, commit to your pass. If you go for a pass, we won't turn in on you, so go for it - hesitation just slows us both down! ;) - Could maybe have stolen 3rd if I hadn't had to play guessing games with a GT500 in the last stint.

Still, thank you all! I love racing in this series, maybe not as close as Round 1 but a fun race nonetheless.

Yeah thats what I was getting on about as Iforce allbeit from NA said your bars were 0, I just think our connections are ot all that compatible, but hey it probaly did me a freaking favour I hate Laguna did a moderatly fast lap in practice screwed up quali so im over it.

I can take moderate comfort going into Spa since I was 2nd fastest behind Johnkiller, minus Mole ect ect though,so we will see but im optimistic about Spa as its my best track!

Sadly with their current weights though it could make it a frustrating one for them given Spas long straights.. :nervous:.

Im certainly aiming to beat my 2:04.9 though expect this downed Scot to come out fighting :D.

Still bad for me, I must be a magnet or there is something wrong with me. Considering move to GT500 as it is my home class and Spa is next which I am pretty strong at.

We had a problem of communication coming into the left before corkscrew. I go to your side and then we both slow down. :dunce: Then the pits held me. Stupid GT5. Still, great result for Team Garayia. And Falcon, stay with us mate, you are a great driver, just bad luck you have been having. I'm sure luck will be on your side soon. ;)

Couldn't see it from my vantage point in the GT500 grid..

But it was one of those unfortunate things. You were quite laggy on my screen when i did catch up to you.(Car was jumping around quite a bit).. But in all honesty, you gave me tons of room everytime I came near you, so I didn't even receive one lag bump.

Too bad for you and anyone else that may have been effected by this. At least no disconnects in D1 today.

If someone can let the steward know pre-race.. We can try and re-grid. If that doesn't happen we can usually wait a moment for the "laggy" person to try and re-connect to the room. If that doesn't work.. then yeah.. we might have to tell the person they can't race that day.

But all growing pains here.

But I must say everyone was well prepared in the D1 room. :tup:Everyone followed their checks seemlessly. The room chat stayed mostly quiet, and I was able to give any instructions neccessary with out any troubles. Both formation groups seemed to go good as well.

Thanks guys for making hosting so easy!!👍👍👍

Haha, yes I thought so. I lifted/braked to let you through because you were obviously quicker with my tyres starting to go off, and then noticed you had done the same :dunce:

Nevermind :P

The trouble was that I completely forgot I was one and Moleman didn't report his initial contact when it happened.

Wha?

Unlucky GV, you had the race in your bag.

Oh I wouldn't say so much. You guys had a great pace, and even if I hadn't spun, You both would have pushed me so hard until the finish line, so who knows. It's just that leading is a great advantage here, compared to other tracks.

Spa should be interesting because, even if it's not the best track for the Lexus, Cicua and you have a bit more ballast than I have, so maybe I actually stand a chance. Fun stuff! 👍

You were quicker a few laps before, so I thought you still had the pace. I was wrong.

Do you think the NSX will be fastest since it features alot of straights?

Yeah, talking about GT300 here, toyotsupra  . I have to say that, by my own experience, the NSX is good at Spa. At least with PURE JGTS spec cars. Not sure with WSGTC, since I haven't tested them.

The weight will play a big role in GT300 here sadly theres no way around it Mole, Nep, GV and Cicua will have their work cut out. I think if C-Fal stays in GT300 he could well win here and providing I get a great quali like the pre season I could grab a podium :D.

Wha?

The chat in the room my friend about the rolling lap. Sometime I forget that I am a steward as I only received promotion at the beginning of the season

In the gt300 the impreza appeared to have good straight line speed. At least that's what I experienced on Fuji... have to wait and see, spa isn't my strong point. Yet a darn sight stronger than Laguna

If my math is correct, even though Cicua took the victory, I'm finishing this weekend ahead of Cicua on the championship.

We were tied. I get 2 points on Q, Cicua 0. I get fastest lap, cicua doesnt get 2nd or 3rd fastest. So on Bonus I am 5 points ahead. Difference between 1st and 2nd is 3 points.
So I think I finish 2 points ahead of Cicua. :D Now, I love the bonuses. ahahaha

Yes, I think should have mentioned something. I nearly drove into the rear of his lagging car even before turn 1 of the first formation lap. Nevermind, at least we've learned something. I will speak up if there is an issue in future - if it's bad enough that it feels dangerous then we shouldn't be risking it really.

Update to my previous post, with fastest lap times and starting grid separated.

The Rx7 is the fastest in the straights from what ive been told, the MR-S is still up there in straight line speed. Imo the Subaru has a great acceleration which is why I picked it as I allways focus on my exit hence my decent speed in Fuji and Spa it goes with my style :D.
