Yeah, Hamilton hasn't put my time on the sheet either, wasn't really worth putting on but it could be the difference between racing or not :)

Not sure what happened here, but I don't see Biffy on the sheet anywhere. Did I miss him backing out, or does he need to be added to the reserve list?

I had to leave the room just as he was about to run so I know he did run (tuesday night it was) cant remember who was in the room watching though.

Got a bit bogged down with actual work in the end this morning, will check quali sheet is up to date shortly

I brought this up a while ago, no answer. There were a few people in there, the ones I remember being L_Hamilton and toyotsupra. I should be first on the waiting list.

Biffy still hasn't been added to waiting list 👍

Hey, I let toyotsupra do it since he asked to do so. Then I Q'd hellboyfr after you. I might still have wrote down the times anyways of your laps but not sure. I'll look at my qualy sheet I keep my times of the people I qualified then I'll post it on here if I find it. 👍

Just because I've repeated myself too much, it's been brought up enough times in the thread. I don't have the time because I wasn't the one watching the lap, toyotsupra and L_Hamilton did that job, but after seeing Hamilton's message, I really do doubt that anyone has my time. It doesn't really matter, because my lap was horrible and I messed it up, but if it was a pole time, which I was capable of, then I'd definitely be ticked off. If you can't enter a time on the sheet, get it posted in the thread or at least have it written down.

No prob Nep ;)

@Squall: yes there's a race tonight but you you didn't do your quali and the GT500 grid is now full...

Are we going to race tonight and in which room should i race

have you qualified? if not you will need to ask to go on the waiting list.
in future weeks, you really need to post a qualifying time by thursday night

Yeah Biffy 👎 for Hamilton there.

Stretch D1 will be run with 7+7.

Only D2 will be same class to allow a few extra racers to get a race that otherwise wouldnt have.

Even though D2 GT500 has the full 16 I believe Biffy should be allowed to race since he did qualify.

So, you did your quali right? (this is the only answer I need, you're not forced to quote many people...)
If yes, and since there's no time posted somewhere, you'll start from the back (16th)

Sqwall its too late now you need to join one of the WSGTC rooms to qualify. (PAL-1, PAL-2, NTSC-1 or NTSC-2 between Monday and Friday 7am GMT)

Run wis ballast was the error of the steward before your quali? Or that was your own decision to run with ballast?

I was actually saying I should have ballast penalty. It's irrelevant now anyway same time with both runs.
I'll make sure I know what I am suppose to have for next race.
Thank you for your patience :)

There were multiple faults in this error.

Being the first week that we have applied ballast, the procedure was confusing to many of us. A lot of us didn't understand that it wasn't the points standing, but the finish of the race before penalty, that determined the ballast.

Apollo, trying to be a sportsman, let me know that he had ballast for this race. Which he believed he had because of his point standing.

Finally, it was my fault for not catching the fact that he did not need to carry ballast. So, ultimately it was my mistake if there is blame to be placed.

I agree that it was right to let him re-qualify if that is what he wanted. I believe it turned out to not make any difference. But since you asked, this is the story behind it.

I think going forward this will not be a problem. I do not expect there to be any future needs to re-run a qualifying lap. This should be a one time occurrence. I believe that know that we all know the system, there should only be one chance to qualify.

Will; I'd prefer not to be the host, to be honest. My Internet connection is 5mbps, so I'm not sure it's the ideal choice. Isn't there anyone else in D1 who'se trust-able and who would have a better connection?

We don't want odd issues...

Cant believe we are still learning a thing or two... Never seen such complex stuff before in GTP. But it's heading on the right direction, we are all getting there.

Not trying to call anyone out. We are still very early in our season and mistakes will occur. I believe this situation is resolving itself, although with a bit more effort than should have been required.

I strongly suggest that everyone remembers to SAVE THEIR OWN REPLAY as well. For this kind of situation as well as the possiblity that a stewards replay is slightly different because of a lag spike. We have seen in other series, it can look to one of the stewards in the room like someone went out of bounds, but it was just a lag spike.

So, please, everyone save your own replay. I know, the stewards should have it covered, but there are situations where it is good to have.

I look forward to our races today:tup:

Good luck everyone!

I read it and its incomplete. The first 15 seconds are chaos. At max 2 should be moving at a time until the order is sorted.

A set procedure would help with the new people getting used to the process.
What it's supposed to be is everyone waiting for the top 2-3 cars to get in front, followed by the send 3-6 cars, etc, etc.

The cars starting behind 3rd should not be moving until they're sure everyone that needs is already past them.

It can and has been the difference between a clean and dirty qualifying lap, fyi guys.
It will be extra easy to not screw this up again also, because everyone will know their ballast amount from where they finished the race(s).

Thanks 👍 I personally don't mind being the host, but we don't want to risk it, especially when we're running 14 people, right? :)

If everyone pitches in, it's not complicated at final... ;)

I can host.. The connection that is hooked up to my ps3 currently is a 6mbps down and 1mbps up. So if someone steps forward with larger bandwidth I will step aside for them. If not, I will host the room and open it up in approximately 15 minutes.
