Cheers guys.

Just a reminder for Round 2 at Indy Road.

As per the regulations with the ballast handicap. The following drivers will need to add the required ballast below for Race 2.

Tier 1
Rod_AUS - 35kgs
Oni_chan - 25kgs

Tier 2
Rotamasta - 35kgs
Jol_1 - 25kgs

Tier 3
Cactass - 70kgs
Velster - 25kgs

I'll start with Hards Mr Chan.

Be warned though. As of today (Sun), my PS3 (running GT5) is unable to establish a connection with the GT5 servers. It was fine last night for the race and afterwards, and at the moment everything else works fine, including other games. Just GT5 and it's servers are an issue. Don't know at this stage if the issue is my end, the ISP, or GT5's servers in my area, but if I can't resolve the issue before race time, i'm not going to make it. :grumpy:

Meds ... Sorry for my lateness

Hoping to avoid a repeat of last week mate, you had a strong result at Indy Road last time in the GT300, watch out for this bloke tonight !

runnin hards

Enjoyed the clean racing with you last week maggot, cheers for a good race, and here's to a clean and fast race tonight

Hard compound please Oni.

You sir, are a bloody good looking rooster !

Be warned though. As of today (Sun), my PS3 (running GT5) is unable to establish a connection with the GT5 servers.

Hope to see you tonight mate, it's not a Monday night race without you dominating from the front until T1 make their way through

Ill be on hards Oni, see ya all tomorrow night
The man who has the best tyre wear in the business, if it wasn't for your spin at the corkscrew last week you would've had an amazing result !

I originally was going to let Rota know he can insert "x amount" of frozen bananas instead of 35kg to even the amount, so i googled 35kg of bananas, but i was in fits of laughter with the top search result for it, i will use this instead.

My 35kg (dog) just ate 7-8 whole bananas including the skin. Should she go to the vet?

Hmm, guess I should proofread first. My 35kg dog ate bananas.

Thanks to all those that answered. It was 11 pm here when she ate them. We took her out for a walk to let her use the facilities and as she was showing absolutely no signs of discomfort or bloat, let her sleep it off. She had a giant pile on her walk this morning and seems to be doing fine."

Oh my god! Mr T were you drunk last night when you decided to quote everyones post into separate posts? You do realise you can consolidate all quotes into a single post? Also i have no idea what your going on about. lol Just remember though that but triple, quadruple and so forth posting is against the GTP rules. :P

Was bored, my apologies about the spam, I wasn't aware of the multi quote facility. Has it been fixed or do I need to do it

It's fixed mrtaital, and to use multiquote press the little speech bubbles button on the bottom of all of the posts you wish to quote, then hit quote on the last one. 👍

I cannot load any peoples profile on my community tab. Everyone just looks like a blank profile.

mine does the same, it takes about 10 to 15 mins to load them up!!!👎

Interesting race last night, opening section had lots of lag.
here is two videos, the second one shows Cac bouncing around the place...luckly none of us were taken out with this one.

here is the un official results and lap times

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

I need to do some trans tuning, man i was blitzed off the line!!!

Velly, thank you for posting that vid, I obviously did not realise I was lagging bad, like the first race you guys saw my lag in qual, but it did not seem to occur during the race, thats the only reason I started the race, if I had known my connection was going to do that, I wouldn't have started, Sorry to everyone about my lag, even if it didn't hit you, I know it slows you down as you expect to react to a flying car.

I was pretty mad last night when I got dc'd around lap 60...especially because I was having a decent race and thought it would be a very close finish with jol as I saw him come in for his last pit, and I had low fuel and a brand new set of mediums to finish the race on.

Because of my recent lag, the servers being a mess, and the thought of doing another hour or more of racing to only get dropped, I am deciding to become a wild card driver. Even being a wild card, I still wont race until I get my net sorted, have no idea where this lag has come from, but I do not want to annoy/ruin someones race because of my connection.

Lag is a Mate and sadly something that is really out of our hands.
Just do the basic, reset everything and make some no one else is using your your network.
I think the PSN is still playing up as some people still had issues trying to get into the room.
I will try to get some better videos up, the opening 20 mins were fun and action packed.

Once again I would like to say thanks to all you guys for some great racing...monday nights is the place to be :)

Well for me it turned out to be the race that could possibly have been. Quite hard for me to get a good clean lap in the 5 you get for qualifying, when i was finally on a cracker i would oversteer out of a corner and lose all the time I gained plus some GST.

Red red red, i was waiting for someone to go when the timer hits zero even though we wait till 10s, just some advise for future drivers, if you do jump the start unintentionally please do not reverse back into your position as it could cause a crash, remember penalties are off so your car won't go invisible when you reverse, just pull over to the left or right side, which ever is safest depending on the track, I had a good laugh at it and I appreciate the fact that you also penalised yourself for jumping the start.

Had an amazing battle with Jol, maggot, and red for the first few laps, once Oni caught up my race was dealt a massive blow, heading into turn 1 i noticed Oni was braking very late, i originally turned in but when seeing his car closing quickly i turned left to allow him the corner, sadly Oni chose to try turn around me at the same time as he thought i was turning in, meaning he hit me fair and square in the right rear tyre doing about 150km/h, i only received right rear damage but the tyre was at such an extreme angle the car was sliding everywhere forcing me to pit. I was lucky that Oni had to pit at the same time so for the 25 laps i got out of my mediums we had a fantastic race.

Put hards on for my next stint, got up to second position, now Rota and I have a history of managing to find damage when we are racing close and last night it happened again, the only time for the 75 laps my car was sideways heading into turn 1 and i made contact with the inside tyre wall, i chose to drive on with the damage which ultimately cost me a good result. My last stop was for mediums with around 23 to go, i filled the tank and with the fresh mediums i was going to push myself till the finish, by this time my feet started to randomly cramp and my focus was fading which caused quite a few spins and loose moments around the circuit. Once i realised i was a lap in front of red (4th in tier) i decided to just slow it down and punched out constant 1:34's to make the finish without losing my 7th overall position.

Overall i was quite happy with my speed for the race, a few errors of my own doing combined with one unfortunate incident really decided my fate.

Memorable moments?

1) 15-20 lap battle with Oni
2) Honking my horn to everyone in pit lane :D
3) The amazing 4 turn over and under moves with Rod
4) Once again getting damage being around rota (not his fault)
5) The last time i overtook Rota was when he was lagging across the road and i was quite literally $hitting bricks, but managed to avoid anything.

Quite unfortunate for Cac and Rota to have those issues, seriously Cac that's some of the worst lag i've seen for ages, doing doughies in the sand? Waahhooo.

Not looking forward to next week at Trial Mountain in this understeering sherman tank of a car but at the same time also looking forward to the challenge of mastering it.

Congrats to Jol, an impressive drive considering you were taken out by Cac's lag, Oni mate top drive to get P2 overall and first in class considering how far behind we were, velly mate i checked your one lap pace and it was impressive! Congrats on winning your class!

Bring on the Mount!

Hey guys

Sorry about the jump start..

Can anyone tell me if i was lagging at all because my car did not feel right.
IT WOULD NOT stop, turn or drive right and was really loose.
My lap times in the race were really slow compared to my practice lap times..
IT felt like i was driving on sports tires..
But i had some good battles and lots of fun.

I've had this problem before on one of my older series (5 or 6). I was getting crazy physics during the race. Same as what you described. It happens sometimes with GT5. Not sure what the cause is or the solution to fix it as i went almost half a season having to deal with it every race. What made it worse is 1 lap it would be fine and your driving normally. Next lap bam! the car wont turn or stop. Starts sliding everywhere and is utterly no fun to drive.

Hopefully it doesn't happen again as we didn't have this problem during Season 7 but as the GT5 network has been crazy of late (hence few lag problems last night) i'm just hoping they fix it quickly.

Only thing i can suggest to everyone is do the following checks before every race.

- Turn OFF the PS3 Media Server in the XMB settings
- Run an internet connection test in the XMB network settings (restores lost NAT)
- Have no other devices accessing the internet during the race
- Clear your cache in the GT5 network menu in game
- Finally tell all loves ones not to bother you during the race. Or lock them up in a cage until finish. ;)

This could also apply to pets, cats are notorious for sitting on stuff like keyboards, hands and so on.

I did have a moth land on my leg last night, scared the you know what's out of me!

Hey guys!

Again, an amazing night of racing...packed with good and clean fights, thank you all for that :)

Congratulations to Jol, Oni and Velly for the win, great job.

I must say, I am still impressed by you Oni....how the hell did you managed to comeback from that and get second overall and win in the class? Amazing job there, seriously 👍 I believe I didn't make one significant mistake and I was lapping within 0.05s each lap for several laps and there you were....2nd place after my last pit stop at least 10sec in front and lapping freaking fast!:odd: I think you are some sort of a magician or something...lol...well done mate.

It was a great race, had some great battles with my fellow tier drivers Jas and Jtv and I hope I didn't have any lag as we were driving really close ;) sometimes their cars would behave in a weird way and I was just hopping it wasn't any pushes from me (from lag which I wouldn't see).

Also some great moments with MrTaits as he mentioned, going side by side for a few corners...no contact at any point...just great racing.

Felt really sorry for Rota when I saw him getting kicked out like 10 laps to the end....I wouldn't want to be on that position....PSN is just so bad it makes you want to go and try something different (let's all get into iRacing/ rFactor...lol)

Can't forget to mention also how long that race was....I am destroied today!lol Not to mention the fact that it took me a couple of hours before I could slow down and sleep...it is fun but I am worried is getting a bit too much for me

Well, again thank you all for the racing...it is soo good to be able to have this level of racing, as clean and respectfull as this is! Thank you very much.

Looking forward to reclaim top place on my tier's championship next week :P:D

hey guys

Yeah thanks oni
I do all those things you mentioned.

Hey jol sorry about the contact at turn 1 on lap 14 i was not trying to pass you.
My accelerator was sticking and i was trying not to run up your rear-end.

Had a good battle with jasr for about 10 laps.

Had to pit every 15 laps..Got damage lap 67 and had again so in all i had to pit 5 times.
Congrats to the winners. jol ONI and Velly and the other podium getter.

....attempting to connect to race lobby....message pending.

There we go all better now.

Hey guys, just wanted to issue a WELL DONE to EVERYONE for a great race and for sticking with it for two hours. Correct me if I'm wrong Oni, but i reckon that's close to our longest ORS event so far?

Shame that Rota and Cac couldn't stay in the room for the full race and Toivo couldn't be stable in the room. Please insert your favorite expletive. :indiff:

Some great racing last night across the field and a big congrats again to Jol, Oni and Vel for their respective 1st places. I'll be reviewing the fastest laps directly, so some more commentary to come in relation to that.

Some interesting Videos there Vel - thanks for posting and really great to hear everyone's perspective on how the race went for them, keep em' coming gents.

As an aside, I just checked my car from last night and it does not appear to have clocked any mileage at all. Has anyone else noticed that?

tnx guys, i'm not sure how i pulled of the win after the lag issues, but i just kept pushing hard and i seem to do well at this track so that helps to.

Really annoying i couldn't have a good fight with rota at the end, it would have been close and would have made for a better win if i pulled it of. Next time rota and hopefully i can have a race without damage.

No problem red, i feel your pain with the sticking accelerator mate mine is doing the same but i'm getting used to giving it a little flick coming into the braking, your little tap didn't do to much damage and i was going to continue but 2 laps later cac had so bad lag and i was praying don't hit me but it got me in the end with full damage, i was close to the pits at least so was not the end of the world and velly got it worse than me.

Also no problem cac these things happen and could happen to anyone, will see ya next week up the front again.

Tnx for a great race everyone, even under the trying conditions everyone got on with it and did there best. See ya next week.
