had a great feature race good battles with cicua and gv27. Sprint race didn't go to plan as my miss came home started asking stupid questions while I was entering the pits and bang lost concentration and press x for racing hards again.
I was just a sitting duck lol.

glad I got some bonus points for fastest lap though woo

It's the 5th race and we have been using RM in every race. How could you not have RM? I find that very hard to believe unless this is your 1st race.

I have two cars, one that I never raced before. This is my third race as I didn't do the first two.

I was testing between with/without chassie restoration and used the the car that I hadn't raced before that didn't have any medium tires available. You can check the replay on the first race me only using hard tires. Hardly an advantage.

Oh well looks like you will be DQ. On the bright at least you won't make this mistake again.

Although it shouldn't happen, the host at the time said it was ok. So there will be no DQ. The host shouldn't of said it was ok ( sorry pag) but you can't penalise a driver for a stewards mistake. I would be of the mindset that if you don't turn up with medium tires then that would be the drivers fault.

Yes you can because sail knows you can't go to settings, why else would he ask? Ask yourself that.

I disagree 100% the host made a mistake yea and he of all people should have know better. What's the point of having a host who dosnt know the rules? What's got me *****d is why he said yes when he knows it illegal. If he didn't know it's illegal then the person who granted him a host license is at fault also for not explaining what is expected of a host/steward.
To be fair to the rest if the field would be to DQ the host as well.
That's just my opinion anyway and it's worth absolutely nothing.

Its laughable at what happened when you think about it

oh stop your moaning jeez. Its human error I'm far too nice sometimes which is my weekness. I will know for next time not to allow anything. Its stressful being a host when everyone asks questions at once lol.
for your peace of mind I checked PP weight bhp etc after so no one was cheating plus gt300s don't lose any bhp over the feature race

its hardly laughable as no one cheated and everyone had a good time racing which I think is the main point for this series to have fun.

Lol sorry for moaning but do your job properly without making excuses and there wouldn't be a problem would there?
Prevention is better than cure ;)

It happened, ok, it shouldn't of, it won't again. There is nothing else to say.
No need for pointless arguing.

I think we have to bear in mind that we do this to have fun. I like robust rules that are followed, but in the same time I think we should all enable each other to have a positive experiance racing.

By the letter of the rules, I should just have to live by my mistake of not having medium tires on my racecar and Pag shouldn't have allowed me to purchase them between the races. But if what happened to me would have happened to another driver I wouldn't have objected. Bear in mind the following:
- I asked for permission from the host/steward prior to acting
- The steward allowed it
- We did a car check afterwards
- There is in no concivable way I could have gained an advantage from planing this upfront.

Can someone post the PAL GT500 results and fastest laps. As soon as they are posted the provisional points and the ballast can be posted. Thanks

I found out why I was so slow in race 1 at the start (even though I was in first :P)

I had my brake bias on 0-0 haha!

I'm about to add these times to the sheet. I see Troy watched csl but is there a time for Troy? Are you racing.

Updated
Funny, i was looking for time and didnt reread what he wrote under CSL's time. Start from the back, unless more are added and they will start behind him.

Have a good race today fellas!

OK8
pps. Acelce84 if someone is coming from behind you and it's not the guy under you in the list of drivers you should let them just go instead of fighting them.

i apologize about that, it wasn't on purpose. i did let all of the leading cars to pass easily but you. it's a lack of experience but i'm improving everytime i do races. again sorry mate.

It's supposed to be exactly mid-sprint IIRC.
Which would be counted laps 6,7,8 - Race laps 5,6,7.

Might be what you mean already, just trying to clear up which lap counter you mean.
I just got twisted's PM, so yes, these are perfect.(counted laps 6,7,8) 👍
Pardon my ignorance, but I remember from the GP/F pre-season race that you pitted after 1 race lap. I missed the first dual heat race, so I'm guessing this window rule was implemented at the beginning of the season? I was actually planning to follow your strategy on the super early pit...

Does anybody know if there is any benefit to doing this? I've run 1-0 during a race in hopes that it would extend the life of the tires but I couldn't really notice a difference.

Is anyone going to race in NTSC GT300 this week?
I'll race if it's only 3 of us, but we'll just do mixed class again if this is our turnout this week. :irked:
Are we going to possibly do this anyway? We only have 8 qualifiers from each class.

The pit window came in later, to avoid people always doing exactly what I showed can be done in that race.

To a point, but 1/0 will be too low, you'll just increase stopping distance.
It really depends on your braking foot where optimal is, I usually run 3 or 4 on both wheels.

Are we going to possibly do this anyway? We only have 8 qualifiers from each class.
I don't know, I'll check what we have. Don't really like the idea of pushing 16 cars on track, so we might be doing separate classes tonight as it's supposed to be.

Room Up

:gtpflag:
You hosting again?

BTW, we're going to run public lobby tonight, I'm thinking 2 rooms.
I believe we had someone ask to be at the back of the grid, so with Satau out, that still makes 16.

16 is too much imo for even the best 16 connections.

Litchi
The tonight race is in Open lobby. If need, maybe I can host the GT500 races
Not sure yet.

Yes you should come and host Litchi. You did a great job last time. Set our room to 10 people too.
