Here we go. I'll stick with the Garaiya for now unless the field is getting really unbalanced. I can switch to the RX7 if we need to balance stuff out.

Monaco - ARTA Garaiya: 1:32.840.

I'm assuming we're playing by OLR rules for the chicane? Two wheels on the road, kerbing counts as part of the road? Edit: Sorry, I should read the rules again, that's exactly how it is.

Oh dear, 1.32s and 1.34s in GT300s. I should have tried harder and not settle for 1.39. Well, hopefully I make it in the 16 gt500 cars.

one last question. u mentioned that posting time is forbiden.its a bit unfair u posted that now is legal cause i have already sent my time lap. others who didnt the will likely go for arta now. i maybe wrong but can i resend a replay with better lap. if not i will stick to my lap time with amemiya 1:35.2 something and god help lol

If you like I can go with the RX7. I've got a 1.33:02 in that, and it's totally capable of going every bit as fast as the Garaiya. I happen to prefer the Garaiya's edgy driving style, but other people might be able to go faster in the RX7.

The Lexus and Cusco are less than half a second off these speeds too. Drive the car you're comfortable with, not the one that someone else is fast in.

good thing you cleared that up m8.

I did. It's very important to break your engine in. All the cars should have in excess of 330hp after breaking in and an engine change. You're doing yourself a massive disservice if you haven't done that. Let your B-Spec driver run around with it for half an hour, that should do the job.

I wasn't necessarily having a go at you mate, I was speaking to those people who might be considering switching cars. As you say, stick with what you know.

Here's the lap times I've gotten so far. Keep in mind that I think that any less than a second difference in a hotlap is essentially equal in a race situation, as you have draft and other considerations that bring driver skill much more into the equation.

Garaiya: 1:32.840
RX7: 1:33.020
Lexus: 1:33.980
Subaru: 1:34.077

The Garaiya replay is in my post above, the other three are attached here.

Note: I've done about 10 laps each in the Subaru and Lexus, about 20 in the RX7, and about 50 in the Garaiya.

I'm confident that I can't get the Garaiya to go any faster. There's maybe a couple of tenths in the RX7, which would put it about equal with the Garaiya, but since I'm not driving it I can't be bothered. The RX7 feels more stable to me, and is more likely to go 20 laps without spearing off into a wall or something crazy.

There's at least half a second in both the Lexus and the Subaru, but I dislike driving them. The Lexus is very grip driving oriented, maintaining speed through the corners. I'm not good at that. The Subaru is all about throttle control, 4WD and I never really got along.

All of these have basically zero tuning. Break them in and oil change to max HP. Increase downforce, drop ride height. That's it.

My point in all of this is, I'm slower in the Lexus and Subaru not because they're slower cars, but because they're slower FOR ME. Pick what you like, and learn to drive it well. I've been driving edgy MR cars in GT for years now, and I'm good at it. That's why I'm quick in the Garaiya.

Edit: Masi, I don't mind checking your replay for you mate. Send it to me or post it up here.

To my knowledge we're allowed to change settings if the car allows it. You're simply not allowed to buy any parts that aren't on the car from the dealership.

I could be wrong. I'll wait for Masi's official word on this. But that's the way I and several others have been playing it for the last week or two.

massi can i resend a replay file? i should be able to cut a second or more with all that. its pitty to remain with 1:35:2something i did

change oil as u said above?

Change oil isn't a part or a setting, it's maintenance.

Changing oil, refreshing the chassis and rebuilding the engine is all fair game. It's completely unenforceable to say you can't, and it just makes life really difficult for people as it means the best play is to keep buying new cars once they pass their peak.

Without putting words in Masi's mouth, those things are allowed.

I agree, this is not upgrading a car just maintenance.

P.S. Super GT laptimes anybody ?

Did a 15 lap session yesterday with Xanavi manage to get 1.28.085.

Damn, that's quick. I'm starting in on the GT500s now just for fun. Will post results, but I'm not sure I'm that fast.

Edit: 1:29.1xx after 10 laps in the Supra.

Better times should be coming from what I saw in drivers list for this event.
Especially from tony 1311 and timeattack, alien drivers.

I'll post my replay later today.
I'm also considering switching car form Xanavi to Advan GTR but I'll have to make half a million before.

Man that's quick. I'm in the very high 1.28. I'll be glad if I make it into Div 1.

What car did you use ?

What car did you use ?

Xanavi Nismo GTR 08'

Just for fun we could make 4 teams for each division.
Everybody finds a teammate so we could also have a team championship going on.
Just a suggestion.

Ah, cock. I submitted a 1:33.0 - did a few high 1:32s with slight setup adjustment later in the week, but my lap was already submitted.

i dont see the woodone gtr 08.. for gt500, is it ok for me to compete in the woodone 08 gtr?? because its the same like the other stock gtr's

Cote d' Azur free run lap time. Not official yet, I might try to improve it.

Chassis Rigidity improvement is allowed right?

My Cusco already has it and want to try it out and compare with the RE and Autobacs cars but don't want to be trying to find another Cusco in the dealerships
