Had an hour stint on it last night but sadly didn't improve my time. I can definitely see myself getting in the 400s though. This tt is quickly cramping up my hands with a DS3 for some reason. Can't go more than an hour without resting them.
edit: a red lap 1:32:468 :banghead:
I carried on after slightly cutting the 2nd chicane. Seems when there is no pressure i do better the rest of the lap.

Managed to gold this with everything off finally... Mid 1:37.7s? can't remember what it was I switched off my PS3 as soon as I got it.lol

You're right @CRANK_U1 a key was to downshift to low gears at the last second. On first chicane I downshifted to 2nd just a moment before I got back on throttle. On second chicane down to 3rd after I cleared the first apex. On Ascari I just stayed on 4th throughout:indiff: I blew so many 37.8s by stepping onto places I wasn't supposed to:(

What I did differently from usual TT was that I carried on doing the rest of the red laps instead of restarting. Because if I keep on restarting when I eventually get half a second ahead of my ghost then I arrive at Parabolica I can't remember how to take that corner and I'd blew the lap without fail.lol

Cant wait untill i get a G27 & Maximised the pressure of the brake pedal force, DFGT Pedals are **** an no way am i playing on DS3!..

Cut yourself a piece of very firm sponge & duct tape it in place behind the brake pedal. Makes a big difference in the feel... 👍

Thanks for the Tip my friend, but its become a mind thing that i only believe i can do so much with DFGT that i dont even try or play the game, when you think your at disadvantage it dont help confidence or driving.

Improved my time to a 1:32:611. I put Active Steering on mild and i'm getting better traction coming out of corners. Though i don't like using it i think i had no choice with this tt.

If you look at page 6 on the lotus elise super lap thread, you will know why :)

That's a shame, the feel of a wheel gives great driving pleasure (well it did untill i got annoyed with crap pedals) your obviously very good on pad just like my friend Voddyncoke, i used to play DS3 an then i tried a no abs League on DS3, it wasnt long untill i had a wheel lmao, i see you had 5000added up, i used to be like that but it was health hazard! I once did 3 days without sleep & that was only testing a car, big respect to all you guys who repeatedly keep smashing that restart button, it can be so depressing in search of your own limits :)

I think we still need to do something about that... We're like politicians...and like the media... we make a big fuss and then we tend to forget... Shame on us! What do you think @GTP_CargoRatt ,@et_ and the rest of the bunch?
Will we make it happen? I'm game for a 50'er of those paper things that rule our world...Cmmon people lets do it!

PS. As for the space thing, I know you'll find some space for a wheel @CRANK_U1 Trust me!

I'll contribute, but I don't want to the one organizing it.:)

edit. Another thing to consider is that if @CRANK_U1 has got this good with a DS3, it will take some time before he is equally good with a wheel, its a big difference...

I was never out, never broke any promises....just waiting on someone to set it up and tell me where to send the money. 👍 As I am on a fixed income, I can contribute a 20 spot but hey, better than nothing, right? With your 50 and my 20, that's 70 so far so its a good start.

Just fyi to all my fellow competitors here, I just ordered the GTEye brake mod for my G27. I had been using the Nixim brake mod but after going to my daughters house and trying out here rig equipped with the GTEye, I automatically fell in love with it. It feels so much better than the Nixim and not quite as stiff. The GTEye has just the right amount of stiffness to it in my opinion....way better than the stock but less stiff than the Nixim. Just thought I'd give you guys a little comparison since I have now used both. For anyone wanting to mod their brake pedal, I would go with the GTEye. I know there are more expensive mods out there that may be better, but I haven't tried them yet and plus these two are good if you are on a budget. I paid $29.99 for the GTEye and I believe I paid around the same for the Nixim when I bought it. Peace.

Very nice thing to see people like you, By the time you organize it if i were able to help my friend i'll be there for him.

Edit. CRANK_U1, You should start worry about me i'm coming after you when i get back to the island.

As part of the GT novice class this year, after 30+ consecutive laps - today - (in one session of many and not counting days past...) I just wish I could get a nice very large picture of the entire course from above. The modern art of skids and slides, spins and end for ends would certainly spend time across both displays on my prime computer. Too bad the grass and splash pits don't render gouges and gullies.

There's just over half a second to find out there mate :) I wish you luck 👍 Are you back in Germany bud?

Yeah, voddyncoke is very good. He make top 20 in all 3 tts usually and that's no easy feat.

Edit: Improved again with a 485. i keep blowing the ascari corner but i'm beginning to learn it like i've found out not to accelerate on the green kerb before coming to it, otherwise it'll just throw you sideways.

Yup, As usual lol, I already shaved that half second last time i tried doing a 1:32.748 but i got red flag in the 3rd chicane  And i'm doing it without cheating by using active steering

Active steering, and any other aid for that fact, is not cheating. Really wish you guys would let that go, its a weak argument and one that has no basis what so ever.

I think it's because usually series organizers forbid any kind of assist, except for ABS, in order to keep driving "pure" (or something). I myself "cheated" once, on the Ford GT mission race (oh God, I want to forget that).

Well that doesn't make it a cheat just because series organizers forbid it. Its an available option in the game, very much not a cheat. I happen to use such aids in the Seasonal TT's, therefore when people call it cheating, you are not only insulting me, but all of my friends and everyone else on the leaderboards. Don't mean to sound like an ass, but it really gets under my skin when people refer to the use of aids as cheating, not to mention its just wrong. I understand the "pureness" of it all, but it doesn't make it a cheat.

I'm not sure if AS makes much of a difference but it maybe because i have it on mild. I had another go at it before with it off and i was still getting close to my PB but i know it helps a little with the last corner because my ghost keeps getting away from me a bit there.

People can use as many aids as they want/need, they'd still be racing fairly.

The main goaJ in time trials is to set your best possible time, if the best drivers hada choice to set the best time with aids they would do it because what matters most is coming first at all cost. if you want to be a pureist enter some iRacing Leagues.. Long story short everyone has e same feeling of winning.
