Not So New - TT & DT No. 30

Beat my time, lost a position :P lol
I see the light for a 38.3 but it will take a miracle with my current setup (as good as it is)

Thanks for sharing the car Turismo-lester. Congratulations also for setting the 2nd fastest D1 Gold qualifying time 👍.

Lorenzo1201
have you the same parameters? 83 cv and 117 torque?

Hi Lorenzo,

i have 61 kw which is 83hp and 114 Nm torque.

but i have to correct myself. i have used the tune from gerchu.

1:05:587 on Eiger with DS3 dpad, good for 578th. I know I can improve a lot more at some place because i can keep up for few corners with 1st place.

I'll add you tonight when I finish work but, if you can do that before (I've not gsx detuned), add me (lorenzo1201) and, when I'll be at home, I'll confirm you:tup:
thanks mate

thanks for letting me borrow the gsxr-i went from a 39.9 to a 39.5.
only did 5laps or so(i didnt want to hog it-just in case others wanted to use it)so there could be a couple of tenths still there for me.
congrats on the 3rd place 38.493-way to go.

All your friends could borrow your car if they wanted, when you set your time in Turismo-Lester's GSX I was using it too. You can exit the game and come back and you are still in the borrowed car.

I think Peasantslayer was using it too, we all set times within 20 minutes of each other in a silver chrome GSX

Yes I was using it. I give up on kart space, it seems every TT I do I always make stupid mistakes. I always try and get that extra inch of track when I'm going quick and that red timer just makes you want to throw the joypad. :dopey: Thanks to Lester for the car and whoever helped tune it. :)

I got good drift setup on my tvr 12, 10 try's and over 22k..Gonna hit 23k tonight
Just fr to urabus098 I put my drift tool share 👍

Thx, I just copied the tune to my own speed 12, gonna give it a try tonight 👍
Will give you some feedbacks later on.
btw, you can delete me if others want to borrow your car if you need FRiend spaces.

Haha so much for the ultimate driving simulator! when a joypad can run a 1'03.8 in the super evo at Eiger... maybe it's something for future motorsport the world over! ditch the steering wheels from cars and connect a sixaxis and off they go :dunce:

Struggling to knock my time down by thousandths and in comes the joypads 👎

Might come across as sour grapes! I assure you they are very sour

Lorenzo1201

no prob you just got added to my friendlist ;) so you can get my gsx.
by the way sorry for being twice in the top 20 i just got the car ready in my other account and couldnt wait to try some setups :).

What car are you using?
Some cars give more points and with the right car you can get your gold with the skills you have. Dont know why it is that way but I believe that I gain more points the bigger the distance is between front and rear tires or the length of the car. Dont know wich and dont know if its true :)
Cerbrera speed 12 is a long car and so is Buick special and they are allways in the top.
I found the Corvette racecar from the sixties to be a nice and simple driftcar. When I learn how to drive it I tried with the Speed 12 and found a good driftingtune for it and I gained lots more points with it. After a while I even learnt how to do it with manual gearbox and that helped a lot
I hated drifting before but now I actually looking forward to the drifting seasonals.
I do agree with you that this one at Route 5 is hard because the poor light.

Good luck and I hope you will get the gold:)

I am just using my AEM Honda S2000 drift car. It is a very nimble car with decent power. Only modification I've given it was a low-range turbo. Actually, I have all three turbo upgrades for it (low-range, medium-range, and high-range). I have the low-range one since I want power to come on in the low-range especially on slow corners while sideways. I actually find the final drift zone at CSR5 Reverse to be fun. Almost like if you couldn't get enough points earlier, your last chance is to get as many points as you can in that long tunnel.

As for thing about certain cars giving more points, I tried my luck practicing at Eiger Nordwand Short Track with the TVR Cerbera Speed 12. It is crazy how many points you could pick up. The reason why I was skeptical was because I saw one replay of someone's Clubman Stage Route 5 run, and it didn't look like the guy (or girl?) was really trying to keep a consistent and smooth drift going. Basically just attacked the inside as much as possible without really maintaining a consistent speed. Now if I was to upload a video of my own drift runs, you'd just see me trying to mooch for as many drift points as possible, then smack the inside or outside wall exiting a drift zone. I mostly drive conservatively before entering the next drift zone. I do set myself up for each drift zone as it comes.

If anything, credit Polyphony Digital for coming up with challenges as unique as these. A lot of us GT gamers just casually drifted around courses (and a lot still do!). We now have these drift trials that are just about controlled chaos. I prefer the sector-based drifts rather than the full-lap drifts in GT5. I'd rather do full-lap drifts in the Shift games.

Dhalism
how long did it take for u to get it down to 350?

It took me 5000km (24h race plus two 4h races) to get the oil lamp on. After that i needed another 9 hour race at tsukuba. It was a long time to go.

Dont stop just yet, its still early days, you beat me the first day I lent you the Kart on the last Kart Space TT, and I must have done about 200+ serious laps on that TT.

Some people will tell you that the Joypad is just as fast as the wheel, GTP_Tidgney has proved it a few times in the past.

Although in my own experiance I cant drive as consistantly with the pad.
I prefer the wheel and when I really get to know a track Im about 0.5 to 1 seconds faster with the wheel

Nice time btw mysteron71, any chance you would share your tune?
Ive hit a block at the 1:04.2xx

I think you are the fastest pad player still. If you want some motivation, try and get back your top 10 spot for pad players 👍.

Look here :sly:: http://www.gordonkirby.com/categories/columns/theway/2008/the_way_it_is_no165.html

I always find it amazing that pad players can keep up / beat wheel users. I think with a pad you need much more commitment, accuracy and patience to do a solid fast lap than a wheel user. Pad players certainly have my respect 👍.

Anyway, ran some laps on Kart Space with the GSX-R/4. I think I can potentially improve by 2-3 tenths without putting much more time into it as after setting my current fastest lap, I was about two to three tenths down on my ghost and nearly made it all up in the last sector.

By the way, here the tune:

Hi Gerchu- I copied your set up- couldn't really make sense of the transmission settings- the numbers here weren't allowed- but I copied the suspension settings and they seem to work really well- I just wanted to ask- whats the theory behind having the front of the car higher than the rear, and why does it work so well, having the front axle so stiff compared to the rear?

My eyes are bleeding.... but who needs 'em, I got a 38.494 :)
Is it wrong of me to hope for another tsunami? lol jk
Thanks again Guru (Gerchu)
You're welcome 👍

oooo Kilometers!
lol americans!:D
Yes dude, all my tune's are made in KMH. Sometimes I forget put "KMH" on my post. My apologizes.

Try the new one! :)

Surely, you are using the Imperial Unit (MPH). Again, my apologizes, my tunes are made in KMH!
About the theory of the suspenssion, I said "If it does work well, don't ask". Seriously, seems to be to have more oversteer the model for this is +/- & for understeer is -/+. It works the mostly time. Eclipsi think(was he?) the suspenssion physics of the game are inverted. You can read a lot of interesting threads about this in the Tunning Forum, I recommend you the Eclipsi's Thread about how tune the cars, I think he's right in a lot of things about the suspenssion & aligment.
I don't know if you understand me :scared:

I will comment later because i have to go to sleep !

Meanwhile good luck to all and thank you for your compliments to some, good night.

Yinato.
Thanks for the tuning sheet Yinato once again you have helped me go from 800th up to about 420th. I still have a lot to learn about the settings but your settings help me understand a little better what i have to do.Even still with your settings can still only manage 1:05.3 but thats good for me thanks again.

Hello Lester, just a question. have you changed setup of suspension of the shared gsx? I don't know, maybe is my problem, but a can't ran as before, there is too much oversteer compared to the setup of 2 days ago. If I well remenber toe was +0.20/-0.45, isn't it?

I don't normally bother tuning up the best cars for TTs, but as Ive now caught up with old seasonals I thought I'd give it a go.

Quick go with Gerchu tune for the Mitsi gave me 1.5 secs - to 1:08.3xx. This was with DS3 and no power upgrades. Should get some wheel time at weekend so will be interesting to do few full on laps.

Thanks to Gerchu and Yinato for the tunes! Very different to each other, I can't decide which is best- I keep swapping between them, and I keep getting faster!

Obviously not in your league guys, but I've knocked a second off my time in the last few hours and I'm into the 39.4s

Lorenzo, this is the suspenssion setup there was on the GSX Lester shared car:
(I share with you because because this setting is of my authorship)

Suspension
-20/-20
11.5/4.5
9/5
9/3
6/2
0.0/0.0
0.25/-0.50

Actually I am using another tune(Suspenssion, Alignment & Ballast position) which make me perform a 38'729 and keeping me running on the 38'.

You are welcome dude! If you mean about the GSX Tune's, both are very good & I think you can choose what adjust to your driving style!

When I read about the times in the Suzuki I feel like give it a try but I have not manage to put mine to 350 pp. Is there anyone who I can FR and borrow a Suzuki from?
